YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL

THE THREE GUARDIAN ANGELS

Michael O’Brian is a popular Christian novelist, who has published many books. In his biography, On the Edge of Infinity”, page 63, he described what happened to him when he was about to make a drastic mistake by crossing on river ice that was very dangerous. He had been successful in crossing the first time, but on his return, the conditions of the ice changed drastically and he was too tired to notice the difference.

GUARDIAN ANGEL

He had just reached the edge of the river, when a car came along the road and stopped beside him. Inside the car were three young men, in their twenties, who asked “Where are you going?” Come with us and we will drive you to the bridge.”

To Michael the car seemed to come from nowhere and the three men looked unusual.  They were all unusually handsome and their faces were flawless. Their mannerisms were full of politeness and open-hearted goodness. One of them addressed Michael by name, which was by itself surprising. It appeared that God had arranged to come to his rescue at exactly the right time.

GUARDIAN ANGELAre they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister FOR them who shall be heirs of salvation?”                                                  Hebrews 1:14

The emphasis is on the word, “FOR”: your guardian angel will give you guidance and direction concerning the things in your life.

Remember the angel that came and awakened Peter and led him out of jail. They are waiting for you to give them orders just as a waiter cannot do anything for you until you give him the order.

Your guardian angel has many other angels working for your order: “Bring on all the ministering angels for Your glory, God.  I pray to cause all the needed finances be available for Your project, Lord.”

VOODOO SPIRITUALITY

VOODOOISMvoodooism spiritual beings loa

Vodou is primarily practiced in Haiti, New Orleans, and other locations within the Caribbean. There is great variation within Voodoo beliefs and practices. Many Vodou practitioners also consider themselves Catholics. Voodooism involves spiritual beings.

voodooism spiritual beings

As well as being the priest or priestess, the houngan acts as confessor, confidential and financial advisor, prophet and healer for the people in the community. But the houngan is more a folk healer with a considerable knowledge of herbal remedies who treats minor illnesses. While selling love potions and protective charms, including small bags to be worn for protection or for good luck, may be a lucrative side business for a priest or priestess, the primary occupation is still as a spiritual leader of his community. Voodooists especially places value on the strength of community for support.

Loa or Spiritual Beings

The spirits of death, The Guédé are really an enormous group of the loa who are the spirits of formerly living people. He is the one who controls the passage between life and death. In ritual, he is often offered black goats or chickens. The most frequently performed ritual in Voodoo is one that invokes a particular loa (supernatural beings) to offer food to him and seek his presence on earth.

The most important components of a human body, however, are the two parts of the soul, the ti-bon-ange (‘little good angel’) and the gros-bon-ange (‘great good angel’). The gros-bon-age keeps the body alive, and after death, it returns to the reservoir of energy in the cosmos. Without the gros-bon-ange a person loses his/ her life-force. The ti-bon-ange makes up the half of a person’s soul and it is the source of a person’s personality. Furthermore, it is responsible for determining an individual’s characteristics, personality and will.

In Voodoo belief, death is not seen as the end of life, but as a change. The soul – the gros-bon-ange and the ti-bon-ange – endures after death in a different form. The gros-bon-ange returns to the high solar regions where it joins the other loa (supernatural being) and is itself transformed into a loa. Approximately a year after the death, the houngan (priest) performs a ritual, to ensure that the ti-bon-ange is put to rest. This ritual is very important because otherwise the ti-bon-ange may wonder the earth and bring illness and disaster on others.

A Distinctive Human Soul

A human person is a UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL BEING with a spiritual soul and a material body. Human beings alone are created in the image and likeness of God; and therefore, possess rational and spiritual souls: a human person is a body/soul composite.

SCIENTOLOGY: TRUTH OR CULT

Scientology: the Truth

Scientology had its beginnings in 1950 as a religion based on self. It is a non-Christian applied religious philosophy. Scientology is another cult that has little to do with science or scientists. Scientology’s highest authority is not the Christian Bible but a science fiction writer named L. Ron Hubbard.

Scientology(meaning “knowing how to know”) posits that man has a mind, body, and spirit (known as the “thetan”). We are  spiritual beings.

People in Scientology spend exorbitant fees, sometimes as much as $1000 per hour, to attain the exalted state of operating thetan,” or “OT” (pronounced “oh-tee”) .Books are sold, counseling sessions are expensive. Scientology has no salvation to offer the poor. Nothing is said about the plight of the poor, the sick, the homeless and oppressed.

One veteran Scientologist told me she “donated” $250,000 in a twenty-year period. Other Scientologists can wind up spending family inheritances and mortgaging homes to pay the fees.

Scientology has a warped code of ethics. In the Scientology code are such statements as “Never fear to hurt another in a just cause,” and “To punish to the fullest extent of my power anyone misusing or degrading Scientology to harmful ends.”

The concept of God, or a Supreme Being, does exist, but it’s of little importance in the Scientology system.

Scientologists believe that they too can become gods. Scientology deifies Man (capitalized in their writings). Man’s reason will produce perfect behavior and therefore solve all the problems of the human predicament.

Man is basically good, but “engrams” (psychological hang-ups) prevent him from reaching his full potential. When released from these engrams through the sect’s techniques, man begins to live on a higher level in terms of his own human achievement. Opps!  “The church is a big, scary deal,” wrote one Scientologist.  I wish “I could save just one person the money, heartache and mind-bending control, then all would be worth it.”

A Hollywood script, LOUIS THEROUX: MY SCIENTOLOGY MOVIE proves that what people do in the name of religion can be truly stranger than fiction.

LISTEN TO YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL

 LISTEN TO YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL?

We have been trivializing angels for some time — turning them into good luck charms rather than acknowledging them as the powerful and important forces they are, when we listen. In the meantime, we are oblivious to the advantages to listen to your guardian angel.

Angel in my hair

Angels in My Hair: The True Story of a Modern-Day Irish Mystic   by Lorna Byrne is a Sunday Times Number One best seller that is translated in twenty-six languages: it tells readers that she is surrounded by angels. She explains in what form they appear to her and the ways in which they have helped her and others during difficult times.  This book will definitely change your view of angels and religion: life will be put in a different perspective.

Ms. Byrne writes, “We have become a very materialistic society, and so frequently we look at death and ask, ‘Is this it? I rot away and there is nothing more?’ I assure you there is more — much more. People are given proofs (of angels)while they are alive, but sometimes they have to look or listen very hard to recognize them.”

WHAT’S NEW ABOUT ANGELS?

You probably wondered if angels exist. You probably like to think that you have a guardian angel. You may have caught whispers of the angels at times in your life, and this book will assure you that the whispers are real. We will learn that our guardian angels as well as thousands of other angels are willing and waiting to offer us help if only we ask.  You don’t have to have a particular religious belief to be inspired to contact your own guardian angel.  Eventually, you may catch yourself saying later on in life, “why did it take so long for me to discover God and His angels.”

The angels are spiritual beings who have an intellect that is far superior to ours. People hear the angels talking to them but they frequently think it’s a silly thought and disregard what they are being told what to do.

Lorna Byrne writes about the angels talking to her and appearing to her; she tells us that there are countless angels among us, whether they choose to be visible or not and she tells us how to connect with angels: we all intuitively know how. Just talk to them: ask angels for their protection.

Lorna Byrne has the ability to see heavenly apparitions: angels that foretell the future and give direction. She claims she can see every individual’s guardian angel as “spirals of light”, sometimes hovering three paces behind the one they are protecting. In Lorna’s case, her angel identified a small one line advertisement for a cottage that she and her husband purchased.

Some of messages Lorna shares:
