LOVING PERSON OF THE SAME SEX

WOMAN IS CREATED FOR MAN AND MAN IS MADE FOR WOMEN.

Man and women were not created as solitary beings but as the ones who would recognize each other as flesh of their flesh and bones of their bones, as the ones who are capable of friendship and total surrender to each other, as the ones who are capable of life-giving acts in its many forms. God intended complementary and interdependent relatedness of men and women. God ordered the right proportion so that not one of them would infringe improperly on another. Women are the other side of man, as complementary, rather than inferior.

Of course, man and woman in their sexual union and begetting of children can become co-creators with God. Their love and action can mirror the Love of God. They are to be partners like body and soul which God joined together as one. Yet, sexuality is often encountered as lust or abusive and not life-giving.

God also intended this union to strive to build a spiritual marriage. Couples with a strong shared faith do have an advantage over those who don’t. Husbands and wives who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ are in touch with the Life that pulses at the center of the universe in a way that others can never be.

LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD

The world is not moving in a great direction. Yes, the world is a mess in a hundred different ways every day. Most people don’t believe that it is possible to change the world.

But it can. How? The changes will not come from government, not from the economy or big business, not from science. The best group of people who are positioned to make a difference is Christians. How is this possible? It is simple but not easy.

Change the World

We will change the world by behaving like Christians. There are over two billion Christians in the world and they have a tremendous influence.

Part of the problem is that Christians have blind spots. They don’t see things as they really are. They don’t see our marriage, our career, our business, our personal finances, our children’s school and even our own church as it really is. We still have biases and prejudices. Jesus wants to liberate us from our blind spots and to help us see things as they really are and to see ourselves as we really are.

We actually fool ourselves. We never admit to ourselves that we are greedy. We never say that we like money too much. Even stingy people think that they are generous. So we don’t see ourselves as we really are. Continue reading LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD

CONCUSSION INJURY HEALED

MY INVISIBLE ILLNESS OF CONCUSSION INJURY IS MORE REAL THAN YOUR IMAGINARY MEDICAL EXPERTISE OF HEALING.

Meet four members of the Concussion Injury Group, a band of advocates so determined they risk taxing their personal health, short-term, for the end game of better care for others.

Three of the four lost top career positions due to sudden, and freak brain injury. A fourth had her career path altered but is about to graduate, thanks to home-schooling and the online courses of Carleton University.

Jane Clark, 55, was a leading patent litigation lawyer. She kept company with scientists from around the globe, held senior management positions, did volunteer work in the community and sang in the office band. Five years ago, her life was forever altered by a simple slip on ice.

“I lived life large,” Clark says. “Now it’s very much about living small.”

Friday, Clark leaned heavily on the arm of her grown son, Alex, as she left the building.

Natalia Rybczynski, 46, holds a PhD in biological anthropology and anatomy from Duke University. She was a researcher at the Museum of Nature and a professor at Carleton University. Her passion was leading paleontology expeditions to the High Arctic. Along the trail she blazed, Natalia discovered new fossil mammals and was featured in scientific journals, including the journal Nature. In 2015 she was named one of Canada’s top explorers.
