Trusting God Even During Hardships

Hardships Christian solution

Ever think God was dealing harshly with you? We need to stop and ask ourselves, “What is the main purpose of a Christian life?”   It is to bring glory to God. We tend to lose sight of this when bringing glory to God involves some hardship, suffering, difficulty or problem in my life.  “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31

Believers sometimes falsely think that because they are Christians they should lead problem-free lives.  We may ask, “Is difficulty in my life a sign of God’s judgment?”  When we do disobey God we defy His authority and despise His holiness. But when we fail to trust God we doubt His sovereignty and question His goodness. It is always good to bow in prayer before God and ask Him if our troubles are due to some sin or disobedience in our lives. Prayer is the most tangible expression of trust in God. Because He is faithful to His promises, He will answer.”

Many ministers, priests or religious have healing powers. Most don’t have the faith that is needed to use it. There are  two provisos: our saintly priest or religious must be born again and he must be following Jesus’ Great Commission:  (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world … In My name they will drive out demons; … they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”                                                                                                                                       Mark 16:15,17,18

“As you sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world.”                                                                                                                                  John 17:18

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”                                                                                                  1 Corinthians 12:27

Each part of the body performs it own distinct function, which makes it indispensable and wholly dependent on every other part. In the same way, the whole ministry of the Church is only the sum total of all its members. The clergy have a special role of leadership, but other believers are equally joined in the Church. This interdependence means that we need to be sensitive to part which each one of us has to play. That means that you will not be only doing your own thing.

“All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He distributes them to each one, just as He determines.” 1 Corinthians 12:11

Healing was essential to the ministry of Jesus because healing offered indisputable evidence that He is the Christ of God: ”Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples … these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”                                                                                                                                         John 21:30-31

Addiction Recovery can take months and for some many years involving medication. There is a short cut that God provides in the form of Grace, which is a mysterious interweaving of divine grace and human willingness.

We may yearn to let go and let God,” but it usually doesn’t happen until we have exhausted our own efforts.

addiction grace

Most people are addicted to something, be it a substance or one’s own self-concept. Anything that steals life from us and causes us to make illogical or hasty decisions is our addiction: anything we cling to instead of God. The object of the addiction, whether it is drugs or alcohol or sex are not the primary issue. Rather, it is becoming obsessed with them: a false sense of love. It includes many other areas: chocolate, food, Facebook, power, fame, pornography, even driving too fast, etc.

The truth is, we were never meant to be completely satisfied. Saint Augustine states “You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.” We give all our time and energy to the addiction, instead of love. We were created for love but we seek it apart from the Creator. Addiction, then, displaces and supplants God’s love as the source and object of our deepest true desire.

Addiction is a spiritual disease, a disease of the soul, an illness resulting from this same longing, frustrated desire, and deep dissatisfaction – which is ironically the necessary beginning of any spiritual path.” Continue reading HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

God in His mercy has decreed blessing for us by sending Christ to take the curse of disease and sickness from us and bring healing.

“He himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.”                                                                                  1 Peter 2:24

These are the exact words that a Divine Healer say when they lay hands on someone for healing: IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND BY HIS WOUNDS, YOU (NAME) ARE HEALED OF (AFFLICTION).

This is assured for any affliction even cancer and any addiction.  The spirit world knows no limitation: long distance healing is also assured.

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”      Matthew 8:17

Jesus used the authority of the Father given to Christ over heaven and earth Matthew. 28:18, to “pray over” James 5:14 the sick and command the enemy to go. “Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it.”                                           John 14:14

Some Christians pray for healing as if asking for a favor from God. In seeking healing we are not to ask God for a favor; instead, we are to glorify the Father by expecting the justice due us as a result of Christ’s awesome work for us… And we will receive it. Quit begging. Quit asking for a favor – expect God’s mercy. Continue reading GOD’S HEALING ASSURED

The call of the gospel is a HOLY CALL.

This is said to be given us before the world began, that is, in the purpose of God from all eternity: “He has saved us and called us to a HOLY CALL—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time”                                                     2 Timothy 1:10

“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to                    strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.                                                                                                                                 2 Chronicles 16:9

Worship is a life of obedience.

“Away with your hymns of praise! …I want to see a mighty flood of justice,  a river of righteous living that will never run dry.”                                                                                                                                              Amos 5: 23,24

God wants more than praise! God doesn’t say to be just  obedient, but rather to be willing and  obedient. “If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good things of the land.”           Isaiah 1:19

God has a particular will for our lives, each of us. He wants to be involved with us in our day-to-day stuff. There are various decisions of some significance that we must make. God has a will for each of these. We have to consult Him to find out what He wants. He’s a very good communicator and very capable of getting His will across to us. Yet, God will never ask us to do anything unless we ourselves want to do it.

Quite often He will lead us in directions, which eventually appear completely opposite of logic.”  We must choose to obey even when we don’t understand: we’ll see His promise fulfilled in a way outside our understanding. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him,  and he will make your paths straight.”                                Proverbs 3:5-6

In the end, the will of God is the only thing that’s worth doing. It’s the only thing that ultimately works anyway. Why should we waste our time and energy fighting it?

The key to hearing from the Lord? —

Tell Him you will do His will no matter what it is. We must challenge ourselves to move out of our comfort zone and put our gifts at the service of the whole Church.

The Holy Spirit can be unpredictable: one can experience a complete emotional and physical state as euphoric, even ecstatic: resting in the Spirit without distractions or resting in the arms of the Lord Himself.  In this state, you are able to hear voices but you are not the least bit interested.

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!”                                                                                     Luke 12:49
