Trusting God Even During Hardships
Ever think God was dealing harshly with you? We need to stop and ask ourselves, “What is the main purpose of a Christian life?” It is to bring glory to God. We tend to lose sight of this when bringing glory to God involves some hardship, suffering, difficulty or problem in my life. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I Corinthians 10:31
Believers sometimes falsely think that because they are Christians they should lead problem-free lives. We may ask, “Is difficulty in my life a sign of God’s judgment?” When we do disobey God we defy His authority and despise His holiness. But when we fail to trust God we doubt His sovereignty and question His goodness. It is always good to bow in prayer before God and ask Him if our troubles are due to some sin or disobedience in our lives. Prayer is the most tangible expression of trust in God. Because He is faithful to His promises, He will answer.”
GOD IS IN CONTROL, NOT US.
God was the one who had complete control over all which transpired in Job’s life. Job did not suffer because of wrong doing. Rather, our loving Father was perfecting these believers through hardships and giving future generations of believers an example of godliness to follow. The question, then, is not will we have troubles, but rather, how we respond to these hardships.
Troubles make us understand how much more important it is to focus on eternal rather than the earthly things in life. “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:2
Yet the truth for believers is God has a purpose in all that goes on in our lives. Every single thing! And the fact is we may never know why. God ordains everything for our good and His glory. This process of sanctification, or changing to become more like Christ, may bring difficulties to the end that God is magnified in our lives and self is diminished.
We usually cannot immediately understand God’s greater purpose in difficult events. Sometimes we never understand God’s purpose. We need to “know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28-29. All things do work together for good for believers, even when we can’t see how that is true. It’s God’s promise. Do we believe Him? Do we trust Him?
TRUST IS NOT A PASSIVE STATE OF MIND.
It is a vigorous act of the soul by which we choose to lay hold on the promises of God and cling to them despite the adversity that at times seeks to overwhelm us.
God’s plan and His ways of working out His plan are frequently beyond our ability to fathom and understand. We must learn to trust when we don’t understand.
God’s guidance is almost always step-by-step; He does not show us our life’s plan all at once. Sometimes our anxiousness to know the will of God comes from a desire to peer over God’s shoulder to see what His plan is. What we need to do is learn to trust Him to guide us.
God in His love always wills what is best for us. In His wisdom He always knows what is best, and in His sovereignty He has the power to bring it about. The knowledge of His sovereignty is meant to be an encouragement to pray, not an excuse to lapse into a sort of pious fatalism.
God in His infinite wisdom knows exactly what adversity we need to grow more and more into the likeness of His Son. He not only knows what we need but when we need it and how best to bring it to pass in our lives. He is the perfect teacher or coach. His discipline is always exactly suited for our needs. He never over trains us by allowing too much adversity in our lives.
While it is certainly true that God’s love for us does not protect us from pain and sorrow, it is also true that all occasions of pain and sorrow are under the absolute control of God. If God controls the circumstances of the sparrow, how much more does He control the circumstances that affect us? God does not walk away and leave us to the mercy of uncontrolled random or chance events. “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Matthew 10: 31
PRISON TO PRAISE
There is a popular book, Prison to Praise, that is not about a prison with bars, but about a prison of circumstance. It teaches that we are to give God thanks and praise in all things. When we do, His love, joy and peace begin to flood our hearts, and healing begins to take place. It forces us to re-evaluate our life’s priorities.
How Blind can we be to what the Bible says
Can you thank God for everything, even the bad things? It is something like steering the tiller of a sailboat in the opposite direction that you want to go.
Praise is the way of responding to negative situations rather being discouraged and defeated, especially if you are in a trial point in your life right now. . We ought to be as earnest and frequent in our prayers of thanksgiving for everything even when the cupboard is not full. Thank you for my head on collusion, Lord. Thank you for my fall, Lord. Gratitude to God for His good or bad blessings is an amazing tool in assisting with mood disorders. This may appear counter intuitive or contrary to common sense expectations.
When the pain sears and the memories burn, being thankful seems different than you would expect, but giving thanks pleases God. God wants us to cling to Him for everything and anything.
JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU.
Adoring the Father
“I love you.
In heaven the angelic choir forever sings hymns to the Father. Their voices are so beautiful as they adore God in song.
This is your great work on earth to adore the Father in My name through the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. All of you must come to adore the Father for He is your creator who fashioned you according to His image and likeness.
He created you out of love and it is fitting that you love Him in return. He also keeps you in being by His power every moment of your life. His Providence protects you every day and He provides you with everything you need.
The Father made the earth and everything in it for you to use as you have need. For your own well-being you need to acknowledge Him as your Father and thank Him for all He does for you.
Praise Him in prayer and song. Pray the psalms for they are inspired prayers addressed to your Heavenly Father.
He will bless you from the abundance of His Heart. The Father loves a generous heart that obeys Him. I bless you all.”
The above messages came to Father Melvin Doucette:
Fr. Melvin Doucette was ordained to the priesthood on and joined the Missionaries of Africa for 29 years in Africa. In contemplative prayer every morning, Fr. Doucette receives by interior locution “messages from heaven” to share with the public.
God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions show a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17 (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.
The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.
Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.
In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family. The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ. No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.
BILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS CAN’ T ALL BE WRONG!
Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is a relationship with God, your Creator, in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles. How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Many Christian disciples use the gift of healing. They also use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress. Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.
HOW IS JESUS STILL ALIVE TODAY?
Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.
Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.
This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.
He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical sense of peace.
DREAMS AND VISIONS
God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart. God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.
