The call of the gospel is a HOLY CALL.
This is said to be given us before the world began, that is, in the purpose of God from all eternity: “He has saved us and called us to a HOLY CALL—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time” 2 Timothy 1:10
“For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9
Worship is a life of obedience.
“Away with your hymns of praise! …I want to see a mighty flood of justice, a river of righteous living that will never run dry.” Amos 5: 23,24
God wants more than praise! God doesn’t say to be just obedient, but rather to be willing and obedient. “If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good things of the land.” Isaiah 1:19
God has a particular will for our lives, each of us. He wants to be involved with us in our day-to-day stuff. There are various decisions of some significance that we must make. God has a will for each of these. We have to consult Him to find out what He wants. He’s a very good communicator and very capable of getting His will across to us. Yet, God will never ask us to do anything unless we ourselves want to do it.
Quite often He will lead us in directions, which eventually appear completely opposite of logic.” We must choose to obey even when we don’t understand: we’ll see His promise fulfilled in a way outside our understanding. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
In the end, the will of God is the only thing that’s worth doing. It’s the only thing that ultimately works anyway. Why should we waste our time and energy fighting it?
The key to hearing from the Lord? —
Tell Him you will do His will no matter what it is. We must challenge ourselves to move out of our comfort zone and put our gifts at the service of the whole Church.
The Holy Spirit can be unpredictable: one can experience a complete emotional and physical state as euphoric, even ecstatic: resting in the Spirit without distractions or resting in the arms of the Lord Himself. In this state, you are able to hear voices but you are not the least bit interested.
“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” Luke 12:49
You are now stepping into the beginning of God’s perfect will for you, “asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Colossians 1:9
God’s Word in you is the key: “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” John 15:7 Every time the Word says, “in Christ”, it means you. You become a new creature in the image of Jesus; you do God’s will on earth.
In meditating in the Word you are applying that Word to you personally. You are allowing the Holy Spirit to make God’s Word a reality in your heart. The problem is one’s logical mind set: one doesn’t apply what the bible says. What is required is a gift of faith, which God will grant you! “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” Romans10:17 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
The world is starved for love. God made man to receive love, so the deepest yearning of every man is to be loved, which can only be satisfied through the love of God. This starvation of love is a major reason for mental breakdown and physical sickness. People without love are unhappy and can fine no ease.
Knowing the word is not enough: you must act on the word. For example, you can apply the Word for healing: “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering … the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5 Meditate on the words “By whose stripes you were healed“ 1 Peter 2:24 Through the Word you can know without doubt that it is God’s unchanging will for you to be healed. Dwell on God’s Word so that you are able to do God’s Word.
So God can heal, but will He heal? God’s love and mercy is clearly emphasized in His Word. “The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love”. Psalm 145:8 Remember how many times Jesus was moved by compassion toward us: He yearns to meet the needs of man. It is against the will of God for you to be sick. Decide to be well: to get results you must believe that you receive your healing when you pray — not after you are well. Once healed, one continues still to take God’s medicine daily.
From the healer’s point of view, the healing power is available to anyone who is of God and who would receive it. Healing brings glory to God: “the people glorified God when they saw the lame could walk and the blind could see.” Matthew 15:31
Another example involves deliverance. Jesus came to do God’s will in the earth. His will was for Jesus to destroy the works of the devil. So Jesus broke the yoke of Satan’s oppression wherever He found it.
Jesus has authority over the devil: He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved … In My name they will drive out demons…they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Mark 16:15,18 We don’t ask God to deal with the devil for us: He instructs you to drive out the demons. It is up to you to enforce this authority in your life in the name of Jesus or “in Christ”.
There are wonderful advantages to all this: the obedience to God’s Word increases one’s well being: “Walk in obedience to all that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” Deuteronomy 5:33 And now we come to my favourite verse in the Bible: “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9
The Word says that the children of God are to be led by the Spirit of God. Expect His guidance. The Holy Spirit will lead you by the inward witness. What is “inward witness”?
Suppose you pray about going in a certain direction in your life, and you get a check or a red light in your spirit. Or to say it another way, on the inside of you there is something that tells you no or to stop. On the inside, in your heart, you just don’t feel good about going in the direction you’re praying about.
That is the Holy Spirit telling you not to go in that direction, no matter how good circumstances look on the outside. On the other hand, if you pray about a matter and you get a go-ahead signal or a velvety-like feeling in your heart, that’s the witness of the Holy Spirit telling you to proceed. Of course, any guidance comes to you that is not in line with the Word, disregard it.
The Lord also speaks to His people by His prophets, by visions and by dreams. We have a record of the Lord sending His angels to lead and guide. I would never have become a teacher had it not been for a handsome stranger curiously sitting at the edge of the deep end of a swimming pool. I sat up beside him and he proceeded to ask pertinent questions about whether I liked my job. He advised me about interviews being held in my city for school teachers. I have never seen that individual since and he made a big difference in my life in a period of three minutes. Was he an angel sent as an answer to prayers?
Will you be an angel to someone who is praying?
The strongest direction will come from the Bible: “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
Finally there is still a matter of belief in Jesus, which is a ticket to heaven: “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” 1 John 5:11-13 “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved … Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10: 9,10,13 When we find a promise in the Bible, we claim it.
God Wants You!
People sing and preach about the coming of Christ, but tragically they live as if He were never coming. The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 1 Timothy 4 The Word will be fulfilled: Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. Matthew 24: 7
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. ” Isaiah 41:10-11
God’s primary purpose throughout history has been the redemption of man. Jesus proclaimed that God wants you! The relationship must be between you and the Almighty Creator of the universe:
- You need to know Him.
- You need to seek Him.
- You need to depend on Him.
- You need to see Him answering your prayers.
- You need to experience His mighty peace.
- You need to hear His gentle voice telling you what to do with your life.
- You need to be afraid to turn away from Him.
- You need to know that He is your only source.
The cause for which we must stand is to bring men and women to the Savior, to their Lord and King, to happiness and everlasting life. The effects of this cause are beautiful, happy, clean, good people.
You have not chosen this disciple’s life, but God has chosen you and equipped you. You have to grow in God, and grow in maturity, and never quit. One must live and die for a reason. Live and die doing something for Jesus’ sake. When God puts a new vision in your heart, it burns like fire. So when God tells you to do something, you have to do it.
In the story in Luke 4 of the visit of Jesus to the synagogue where he first worshiped God, is a story central to His identity. Christ has reached a critical point in his young life: one where he no longer sees himself primarily as a member of the congregation in which he was raised. Rather, he stands up, proclaims the words from Isaiah, and announces that his identity has now become one with the suffering servant: “Today, this scripture passage is fulfilled in your presence.” Luke 4:14-21
He now saw himself as the humble, forgiving follower of God whose only task on earth was to lift the yoke of oppression, and, free prisoners from confinement, and bring the great biblical year of favour for the poor. Jesus had found his true self. What He sees, He becomes.
How does this apply to me? We often pose the question,” What would Jesus do?” We ask ourselves:
- Am I humble?
- Am I a forgiving follower of God (whose only task on earth is to lift the yoke of oppression)?
- Am I dedicated to free the prisoners from confinement?
- Am I working to bring a great time of favour for the poor?
- Do I love as Jesus loves?”
- As an admirer ‘am I ready – is there hope – to become a true disciple?’
Men of purpose change the world. World revival cannot come about by compromise. Revival happens only when people know their God and know their calling and refuse to compromise with the world.
Money is not the problem. Loving money more than loving people is. The message of faith is abused and misused when we only concentrate on giving ourselves prosperity and great personal wealth. Faith should be used to win others to salvation: healing, deliverance and Holy Spirit baptism. It is time for ministries to use their mult-imillion dollar offerings to evangelize the world.
“Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge.” 1 Timothy 5:12
JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU
Do not Worry about Material Things.
“I am your Brother who loves you.
When it was time to choose the twelve Apostles, I went up to Matthew and called him to follow Me. He was converted immediately and left everything and followed Me.
After Pentecost, he worked hard to spread the Good News and at the end of his life, he died a martyr. He was greatly loved by Me while he was on earth and now he is with Me in heaven forever.
My dear brother and sister, I am calling you all as I called Matthew. Will you answer the call as quickly as he did? I want you to follow Me as he did.
Receive the gifts I am giving you especially great faith to believe in Me, strong hope in My promises and faithful love in a close relationship with Me.
Do not doubt My call nor look back at what you have to leave behind but answer with joy and forget the past. Come and be My friend. Do not worry about material things but trust in Me. I love you.”
GOD WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU.
Listen to My Call Today.
“I bless you.
I have created the whole world and all that is in it for man to use it intelligently and not destroy it. I created all the billions of people out of love and I put in their hearts this spark of love.
They will only know Me if they have love in their heart.
Yet what darkness and hatred reign in the world today!
I am speaking to you, My child, before it is too late. Return to Me before you fall into the abyss and there is no way to return.
Follow Jesus, your Savior and guide. He will lead you to Me. I want to embrace each one of you and to welcome you to your Father’s home one day.
Live as My children in the power of the Holy Spirit and follow the teachings of Jesus, My Son, which He left to the Church. Listen, My children, to My call today. I bless you all.”
The above messages came to Father Melvin Doucette:
Fr. Melvin Doucette was ordained to the priesthood on and joined the Missionaries of Africa for 29 years in Africa. In contemplative prayer every morning, Fr. Doucette receives by interior locution “messages from heaven” to share with the public.
DIVINE WILL OF GOD 2
God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions show a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17 (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.
The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.
Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.
In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family. The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ. No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.
BILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS CAN’ T ALL BE WRONG!
Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is a relationship with God, your Creator, in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles. How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.
GOD’S HEALING ASSURED 2
Many Christian disciples use the gift of healing. They also use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress. Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.
AN EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH 2
HOW IS JESUS STILL ALIVE TODAY?
Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.
Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.
This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.
He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical sense of peace.
DREAMS AND VISIONS
God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart. God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.
