The Baha’i Movement

Baha’ism advocates a subjectivity, asserting that “truth is continuous and relative, not final and absolute. Yet, no truth is absolutely relative. Think about it for a while.

There is a lot of good in the Baha’i faith. Christians do not come with a spirit of criticism or superiority. We can appreciate in the Baha’i faith: the teaching that children obey their parents, including many aspects of morality, opposing fornication and other forms of immorality.

In 1863, a man named Mirza Husayn ‘Ali announced that he was that Great Teacher. He adopted the name Baha’u’llah (The Glory of God), from which the term Baha’i is derived.

Still, the Baha’i organization appear anti-biblical with many differences:

  1. Baha’ism denies the uniqueness of Jesus of Nazareth as the Son of God. Baha’u’llah, however, claimed that Christ was but one manifestation of God: Baha’is are taught that God is both one God and many gods
  2. Devotees of the Baha’i philosophy seek to unify all religions upon the basis of doctrinal compromise: an impossible oneness. Allegedly, they revere the teaching of Abraham, Krishna, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Lao-Tze, Jesus Christ, Confucius, Mohammed and Baha’u’llah, and all other great prophets so that all religions are one. baha'i faith
  3. The doctrine of the Baha’i belief contends that the prophecies regarding the second coming of Christ were fulfilled with the arrival of Baha’u’llah. Such a theory, of course, is void of any evidence.

Hypocrites believe one thing, but do another. Jefferson opposed slavery, but owned slaves.  Despite claims of gender equality, women are not allowed to be part of its highest religious body, the Universal House of Justice in Haifa, Israel.

But on a daily level, Baha’is go to great lengths to make all members feel comfortable. Baha’i meetings are simple for this reason. There are no priests, no clergy.

God sends faith, people make religions. People put faith in a box and decorate the box. Rituals define what the box looks like when people only see the box. Devotional meetings of 20 to 30 members are held Monday evenings. People gather to hear passages on a given topic taken from many holy writings — the teachings of Baha’u’llah, the Bible, the Koran. Members each take turns preparing the readings and afterwards there’s time for individual prayer: a form of meditative experience.

The Baha’i faith is almost secular in its organization, a religion for the non-religious. It’s a very ‘live and let live’ philosophy.

How can we recognize a Cult?

  • Is there any compulsion to attend several group meetings each week?
  • Is there guilt if you miss any?
  • Are there “inner” and “outer” circles of members, the inner ones being “more spiritual”?
  • Are members of the outer circle required to agree to “shepherding,” or control/direction by someone in the inner group? (We are not talking of normal discipleship here.)
  • Is there pressure or manipulation to give a minimum of 10% of your income only to that church/fellowship?
  • Are honest questions about doctrines or practices within the group regarded as “criticism” by leaders?

It would seem difficult for Baha’is to expect others to accept their Baha’i Bible, the Most Holy Book (The Al-Kitab-al Aqdas), written by Baha’u’llah, as divine because the community of believers do not treat it as such.

Apart from personal assurance, does the Baha’i religion have objective evidence upon which to rest its beliefs?

The Baha’i writings are not convincingly divine but are simply man-made: rather it is a code of conduct rather than a real religion.

Anyone who reads the Aqdas will recognize how antiquated it is:

  • Regulations for daily worship,
  • Regulations for fasting,
  • Punishments for criminals (the branding of third-offense thieves; payment of $21 for committing adultery; the burning of arsonists; use of capital punishment;
  • Required marriage (to one or two wives; Baha’u’llah had three*).
  • Required Baha’is to wash their hands every day, then their face, then sit facing God and say ninety-five times, “God is most Splendid”

“Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated Me!

“You have cheated Me of the tithes and offerings due to Me. Bring all the tithes (and) “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in!” Try it! Put Me to the test! Malachi 3:8, 10

This refers to living consistently in the blessing of God, not just a one shot healing.

Healing is a free gift, but we must fulfill the conditions that God sets out including releasing your finances to Him. You have to give to God what is rightly His. You cannot rob from God and expect Him to consistently heal you.

So you say that this biblical reference comes only from the Old Testament. Yet, the New Testament goes even further in the Acts of the Apostle, where Jesus asks a young man to sell everything he had and follow Him.

WHAT IS A BLESSING?When we invoke God’s blessing, we implore His divine beneficence, trusting that He will respond to our needs. He will cause situations to come together in your favor, no matter what others try to do.

The Lord said to Moses, “Bless the people of Israel with this special Blessing. Whenever (you) bless the people … in My name, I Myself will bless them.”                                                                            Numbers 6:23, 27

“May the Lord bless you
    and protect you.

May the Lord smile on you
    and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you His favor
and give you His peace.”                       Numbers 6:24-26

When God makes a covenant with us, God says: “I will love you with an everlasting love. I will be faithful to you, even when you run away from me, reject me, or betray me.” In our society we don’t speak much about covenants; we speak about contracts. When we make a contract with a person, we say: “I will fulfill my part as long as you fulfill yours. When you don’t live up to your promises, I no longer have to live up to mine.” Contracts are often broken because the partners are unwilling or unable to be faithful to their terms.

But God didn’t make a contract with us; God made a covenant with us, and God wants our relationships with one another to reflect that covenant. That’s why marriage, friendship, life in community are all ways to give visibility to God’s faithfulness in our lives together.                                                                                                                          HENRI NOUWEN

In form, a covenant is an agreement between two people and involves promises on the part of each to the other. The concept of a covenant between God and His people is one of the central themes of the Bible. God consents to enter into covenant with man, who is feeble, sinful, and flawed: there are five Covenants of God.

The particular covenant contains laws and conditions that must be obeyed and complied with in order to keep the covenant. Covenant breakers are those who refuse to obey covenantal law.  “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”                                                                                            Jeremiah 31:33                                                                                                                                                               God said he would make the covenant. Man had nothing to do with “making” the covenant. Man has only to accept and enjoy its benefits or reject it and suffer consequences. God said of the covenant, it is MY covenant and said HE would make it.

God said he would make the covenant. Man had nothing to do with “making” the covenant. Man has only to accept and enjoy its benefits or reject it and suffer consequences. God said of the covenant, it is MY covenant and said HE would make it.

The covenant God promised was his law he promised would come in the future, in “the latter days.” It is by God’s love and grace he was willing to make a covenant with his people.  “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”                                                                                                                                     Jeremiah 31:3

God greatly desires to establish a close, personal relationship with his greatest creation – man.

God’s Covenant with Noah

Noah covenant

When God saw the wickedness that prevailed in the world, He told Noah of His intention to destroy the ancient world by a universal flood. Genesis 6:5.  God made a covenant with Noah, assuring Noah that He would never again destroy the world by flood     Genesis 9

God’s Covenant with Abraham

Abraham covenant

In making a covenant with Abraham, God promised to bless his descendants and make them His own special people — in return, Abraham was to remain faithful to God and to serve as a channel through which God’s blessings could flow to the rest of the world Genesis 12:1-3. “‘Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.’ And He said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be'” Genesis. 15:5. God repeated this covenant to Abraham’ son, Isaac                                                                           Genesis 17:19

The Mosaic Covenant

The Israelites moved to Egypt during the time of Joseph. A new Pharaoh came upon the scene and turned the Israelites into common slaves. After a series of ten plagues upon the land of Egypt, God brought the Israelites out “of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand”.                                                                                         Exodus 32:11

Moses covenant

God promised to make a covenant with the Israelites Exodus 19:3-6. This covenant was between God and the people of Israel. God promised to protect his people from their enemies if they remained faithful to Him. The Ten Commandments are the foundation of the covenant.

God’s Covenant with David

Another covenant was between God and King David, in which David and his descendants were established as the royal heirs to the throne of the nation of Israel.                                               2 Samuels 7:12-13

David covenant

This covenant agreement reached its fulfillment when Jesus, a descendant of the line of David, was born. The gospel of Matthew starts off by showing Christ was “the Son of David” Matthew 1:1, and thus He had the right to rule over God’s people.

God would give them the ability and the desire to follow Him. He would change their hearts and give them a zeal for obedience.  “For they shall all know Me … For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”                                                 Jeremiah 31:34

The Covenant of Christ

Jesus Himself is the Mediator of this better covenant between God and man Hebrews 9:15. Jesus’ sacrificial death served as the oath, or pledge, which God made to us to seal this new covenant.

Jesus Christ

The Real Jesus

Inspired by God and her visits to Heaven, Akiane Kramarik painted this portrait of Jesus (above) when she was only 8-years-old. Interestingly enough, her parents “were” atheists, and have never taught their daughter about God, nor had they ever mentioned Him. She began having her ‘experiences’ (visions, dreams, etc. about God) at the early age of four-years-old, which is also when she began painting. Coincidentally, Colton Burpo (the boy whose true story inspired the popular movie, “Heaven Is For Real”) recognized it as the very same Jesus he too saw in Heaven!

The concept of a new covenant originated with the promise of Jeremiah that God would accomplish for His people what the old covenant had failed to do. Under this new covenant, God would write His Law on human hearts. This refers to the new age ushered in with Jesus with His own blood.

When Jesus ate the Passover meal at the Last Supper with His disciples, He spoke of the cup and said, “This is My blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” Matthew 26:28.  The New Covenant is considered “a bond in blood sovereignly administered by God“. The New Covenant accomplished what the old could not, i.e., the removal of sin and cleansing of the conscience. Hebrews 10:2, 22.  In baptism we enter a covenant with God.

We must put God’s Will before all sacrifices: “The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until He fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart. In days to come you will understand this.”                                                                                                                             Jeremiah 30:34

 The Prophecies of the Prophets

The prophecies of the prophets promised a bright future.

prophet Isaiah

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us His ways,
so that we may walk in His paths.”
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore. “                  Isaiah 2: 3,4

“And afterward,
I will pour out My Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.”                                Joel 2:28

Joel prophet

“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah — not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people                                              Jeremiah 31:31-34

prophet Jeremiah

We have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Saviour, but as a just Judge“.

second coming Christ

The second coming is soon. In fact, Jesus promised His disciples that He would come again.   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”                                                                                                                  John 14:1-3

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”      Revelation 22:12

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”                                                                                                                                          1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.”                                                    Matthew 25:34

God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions  show a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17  (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.

The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.

Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.

In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family.  The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ.  No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.

Christianity and Hinduism Differences

Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is  a relationship with God, your Creator,  in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles.  How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Many Christian disciples use the gift of healing.  They also use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress.  Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.Chinese Religion God

Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.

Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.

This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels  two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.

He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical  sense of peace.

God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart.  God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.
