ADHD HEALED

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, ADHD is a chronic condition marked by persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and sometimes impulsivity. ADHD begins in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. As many as two out of every three children with ADHD continue to have symptoms as adults. The number of children getting diagnosed and treated for ADHD has risen over time. The most common type involves both a mix of inattentive symptoms and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms.

Children with ADHD also may struggle with low self-esteem, troubled relationships and poor performance in school.

INATTENTION

A child who shows a pattern of inattention may often:

  • Fail to pay close attention to details or make careless mistakes in schoolwork
  • Have trouble staying focused in tasks or play
  • Appear not to listen, even when spoken to directly
  • Have difficulty following through on instructions and fail to finish schoolwork or chores
  • Have trouble organizing tasks and activities
  • Avoid or dislike tasks that require focused mental effort, such as homework
  • Lose items needed for tasks or activities, for example, toys, school assignments, pencils
  • Be easily distracted
  • Forget to do some daily activities, such as forgetting to do chores

HYPERACTIVITY AND IMPULSIVITY

A child who shows a pattern of hyperactive and impulsive symptoms may often:

  • Fidget with or tap his or her hands or feet, or squirm in the seat
  • Have difficulty staying seated in the classroom or in other situations
  • Be on the go, in constant motion
  • Run around or climb in situations when it’s not appropriate
  • Have trouble playing or doing an activity quietly
  • Talk too much
  • Blurt out answers, interrupting the questioner
  • Have difficulty waiting for his or her turn
  • Interrupt or intrude on others’ conversations, games or activities

Children with ADHD are more likely than others to also have conditions such as:

  • Learning disabilities, including problems with understanding and communicating
  • Anxiety disorders, which may cause overwhelming worry, nervousness
  • Depression, which frequently occurs in children with ADHD
  • Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, characterized by irritability and problems tolerating frustration
  • Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD),generally defined as a pattern of negative, defiant and hostile behavior toward authority figures
  • Conduct disorder, marked by antisocial behavior such as stealing, fighting, destroying property, and harming people or animals
  • Bipolar disorder, which includes depression as well as manic behavior
  • Tourette syndrome,a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive muscle or vocal tics

It is possible that the chronic use of sugar could cause changes in brain chemistry that may eventually lead to ADHD. Children with high-sugar diets were more likely to have disrupted sleep, most commonly breathing problems and night sweats.  Unfortunately, ADHD  can’t be corrected simply by removing sugar from the diet in short-term studies.

Children with ADHD are about twice as likely to be overweight or obese and vice versa. Many foods are very high in sugars, which are strongly associated with high insulin levels and inflammation, which is not obvious, but is present throughout the body.  This inflammation can only be detected by special blood tests in research labs.

Researchers noted “improved behavior and focus” among children with epilepsy who tried the keto diet.  A decrease in carbohydrates may lessen the symptoms of ADHD.

ACNE DIET

Acne Diet The Western diet is loaded with processed foods. Processed foods are known to cause a sharp rise in insulin levels.

Insulin is one of the major hormones involved in your body’s production of sebum. Sebum acts as a skin protector. This is at its normal level. If insulin levels are high, too much sebum is produced. This excess sebum will often clog your pores. Clogged pores cause acne breakouts. Control your insulin level and you control your acne breakouts.

ACNE DIET

By eating low glycemic Ketogenic Diet your body receives the health benefits while keeping insulin at healthy levels.

Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease. When our bodies are exposed to inflammatory properties, our bodies become vulnerable to inflammatory ailments. Omega 3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties. Continue reading ACNE DIET

KETOGENIC DIET FOR DEPRESSION

KETOGENETIC DIET FOR DEPRESSION

It’s no secret that most people are overworked, under-rested, and living on a poor diet. It’s also no coincidence that the modern advice to eat a diet high in carbohydrates, low in fat, and with constant snacking or small meals throughout the day has coincided with a rise in diabetes, obesity, and mental issues like anxiety and depression.

Depression is no joke. It’s serious. It affects approximately 3 million people every year, just in the US. Approximately 1 in 5 in the US and Canada will experience a mental health illness in any given year , and almost 7% of the population will have experienced a major depressive episode in the past year.

Starting a ketogenic diet, removing high-carb refined foods, losing weight, and eating whole foods is bound to help with mood and make you happier. This alone could have benefits for those with depression. They have studied rats on a ketogenic diet displayed less behavioural despair— meaning they exhibited less hopelessness, and they were more active than the control group not eating keto.

The general consensus is that the brain functions more cleanly and efficiently when a significant portion of its energy comes from ketones, calming overactive and overly-reactive brain cells.

It should be noted that when the body is initially adapting to burning fat instead of glucose, a period known as the “keto flu,” one might feel worse at first. So it may take several weeks or longer for most people to adapt to a low carb diet.

During that transition time when you are first reducing your carb intake, your body has to make new enzymes to burn fat instead of glucose. While it’s busy making these enzymes, and you are eating less carbs, your brain chemistry is changing, and it’s possible to experience lower mood during this time, but it passes once the body adjusts and is able to level out. As your body adapts and learns how to burn fat instead of sugar, mood levels out, and the depressive feelings lift.

KETOGENIC DIET: A GAME CHANGER

KETOGENIC MAGIC PILL

Most people don’t have the time, money or energy for lengthy diet and training routines. That’s where ketosis came into play: turning your body from storing fat to burning it.

Here is a simple explanation:

I have had a little five pound pouch that I have been carrying for a few years. I am an avid swimmer; I swim five times a week for a distance of one kilometer (40 lengths x 25 meters).

I started a Keto diet by simply eliminating all sugar and carbohydrates like toast for a couple of weeks. To my amazement the pouch finally disappeared.

How did it magically happen? The body needs energy for all its bodily activities from keeping the heart pumping to managing my stomach and intestines. This energy demand is vital.

Normally, the body will find easy energy sources in what I have been always eating: potatoes, spaghetti, etc. During the last ten days, the only energy the body could muster is from the fat build up in my five pound tummy. Voila!

KETOGENICS MAGIC PILL

I simply kept to a balanced diet including vegetables and fruit and I ate according to my needs (not overeating). I noticed that my water consumption tripled. During the transition of burning good fats using the liver, I felt a little dizzy. I simply drank it away with a smoothie.

Yes, there are other diets. The most important part of any diet is persistence.  Yet, Keto allows you to splurge on good fats, which is hardly a sacrifice.

KETOGENICS MAGIC PILL

I started the morning after my swim at my favorite restaurant, Coco Fruiti,  and ordered an omelet – no toast or potatoes and a double order of fruit or tomatoes, which was offered free as a replacement.

I was introduced to the diet from my friend, Pedro, who now looks amazing after months of Keto. Of course, he added an exercise regime to burn away his excess fat (the body could not find any carbohydrates to burn for energy):KETOGENICS MAGIC PILL

SPIRITUAL WEIGHT LOSS

SPIRITUAL WEIGHT LOSS  HIGH LEVELS OF WEIGHT LOSS

To adapt to this uncertain food environment, our ancient ancestors and all other animals developed a highly motivating and rewarding relationship with food. The oldest parts of our brain motivate us to hunt for that food, which we now have a 100% chance of getting — and we don’t have to exert much effort at all to get it.

SPIRITUAL WEIGHT LOSS

More than 2 in 3 adults are considered to be overweight or have obesity in the United States. In other words, being overweight or obese is the new normal for Americans. Each one of these people carries an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders (e.g., arthritis and low back pain), cancer, type 2 diabetes, and depression.

Keto is one of the most effective ways to lose weight rapidly and keep the fat off for good. The keto diet is a low carb and high fat diet that is similar to the Atkins diet – except there are no complicated phases to work through, making it a little easier to follow, especially for diet beginners.

The plan is said to cause fast weight loss while allowing dieters to remain satisfied, thanks to the large amount of fat included.

COMPULSION and OBSESSION DELIVERANCE

 Obsessive Compulsive Cycle

Obsessive Compulsive Cycle

I was completely swept along with my own compulsion.

The Obsessive Compulsive Cycle: Damn Unwanted Thoughts!

Since the relief it brings is of limited duration, the compulsion and obsession is a gesture that has to be repeated and thus becomes a habit. The cycle is as follows:

1. The doubt in which the obsession is rooted persists.
2. The threat of danger arises again in one’s mind.
3. The sense of discomfort recurs.
4. The compulsion has to be repeated to neutralize the danger.

About 1 in 50 people, that’s over 5 million Americans and 500,000 Canadians, have developed obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD). Recent research shows that some children may even develop the illness as early as their preschool years… and that a full one-third of current adult OCD cases began in childhood. Some other researchers believe OCD may be hereditary.

What is a compulsion?

In obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), the action that results directly from obsessive thinking is a compulsion, affected people to make specific gestures to suppress the anxious thinking/condition which is plaguing them.

The goal of a compulsion is to eliminate the threat posed by an obsession. Compulsive actions provide temporary relief from the distress, discomfort or disgust caused by an obsession. It can cause tremendous anxiety for those who have it.

Typical Obsessions

Typical Compulsions

Fear of contamination by dirt, bacteria, disease, excrement, etc. Washing, taking many long showers, incessant cleaning
Fear of harming others as a result of carelessness (e.g., fear of causing an accident) Repetitive rituals, making sure that nothing terrible has happened
Excessive preoccupation with order and symmetry Arranging things in a precise order, placing or folding things in the same way
Fear of being afflicted by a serious disease such as cancer or AIDS Taking excessive measures to eliminate contact with contaminants
Perverted impulses, images or thoughts related to sexuality Invoking opposing images; reassuring oneself or asking for reassurance in a repetitive manner
Exaggerated concern about one or more body parts (e.g., fear that one’s nose is deformed or one’s skin is blemished) Spending hours in front of a mirror, putting on excessive amounts of makeup
Fear of being responsible for a terrible event Checking that doors are locked or that electronic devices are unplugged
Preoccupation with sacrilege, blasphemy or morality Prayer, performing mental rituals, using special numbers or words
Fear of throwing away an object that might be needed later Gathering and hoarding useless objects and papers

Untitled-7You are constantly battling yourself. Just as you can’t run away from your hips, you can’t get rid of your thoughts. Thought control and thought suppression don’t work. Worse—they make you feel more hopeless. Try not to think of polar bears for the next thirty minutes. Oops. There’s another polar bear. It won’t work.
