CRASH INTO HEAVEN

CRASH HEAVEN

HERE’S A SEARCHING QUESTION?

“If you were to die tonight, and “St Peter” or “Elijah” or “Mohamed” was at the “Pearly Gates of Heaven” and asked you, ’Why should God let you into His Kingdom?’ – what would you say?”
   1) What would your own personal answer be?
   2) What do you think the answer would be from a true believing Christian

THE MOST COMMON RESPONSES ARE:

     a) I am not perfect, but in all honesty, I think I’m a good person.
    b) I sincerely try to keep the 10 commandments,
    c) I always try to do my best ( – although I sometimes fail)
    d) I know I am a good person ( – and at least better than one of my neighbors !)

The answers assume that if a person rates high enough on a divine “scale of goodness”, then that person SHOULD get into “heaven” based on their performance (or merit). The answers from people in other religions have a lot in common with these same answers.

CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT 2

SPIRIT-FILLED CHINA

God is God-with-us. Finally, when Jesus left earth 2000 years ago, He promises the Holy Spirit. In the Holy Spirit, God reveals the full depth of the covenant. The word covenant means “coming together. God wants to be as close to us as our breath. God wants to breathe in us, so that all we say, think and do is completely inspired by God. God is God-within-us. Thus God’s covenant reveals to us to how much God loves us.                                                                   HENRI NOUWEN

The Holy Spirit works through Spirit-filled ministries. This is especially true in China. The majority of the estimated 100 million Chinese believers have come to Christ through Holy Spirit anointed preaching and teaching, and the work of the Holy Spirit in healing the sick and performing all kinds of miracles.

The Charismatic Movement has infiltrated mainstream evangelicalism and exploded onto the global scene at an amazing rate. It is the fastest-growing religious movement in the world. Charismatics now number more than half a billion worldwide.

We can see God do the miraculous right now in the persecuted Church.   Persecuted churches across the globe are full of the Holy Spirit.CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRITChristianity is not a philosophy, but a relationship with God, your Creator,  in Christ TODAYnot knowledge of abstract principles.  How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.

PROTESTANT AND CATHOLIC CHURCHES

Nearly half a century after Mao Tse-Tung banned religion in China, the country is home to an estimated 72 percent of the world’s religiously unaffiliated people.

Most Chinese aren’t sure what it means to be “Protestant” (the word doesn’t translate into Chinese). They do, however, all know the word “Catholic”—and some wrongly think it has nothing to do with Christianity: “Catholics believe in Mary, but we believe in Jesus.”

In China, 44 percent of religiously unaffiliated people have worshiped at a burial site in the past year. Catholics have a strong belief in offering effective prayers for relatives. Yet, many young Chinese look down on these traditions, calling them “superstitious” and “old-fashioned.”

Catholicism have higher liturgy. The Catholic mass might remind young people of the rituals they see their parents perform.  They walk into a Catholic church, and there are statues of the saints and candles lit for them—which obviously creates the same ambiance as lighting candles for the Buddha.

Some Chinese young people want a more “modern” faith. It’s Thursday evening in Fujian Province, southeast China. Scores of men and women are dancing,  blowing shofars, singing and worshiping God.CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT Continue reading CHINA AND THE HOLY SPIRIT 2

CHINESE CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION 2

The new laws give Communist Party officials the authority to bar children from religious services, decide the content of religious instruction, and approve or disapprove of the time and place of religious services.

CHINESE CHRISTIANS PERSECUTED

The State Administration for Religious Affairs (SARA) has a new law with the assurance that all Chinese citizens are free to believe whatever they want and to engage in religious activity—as long as it’s within the tighter limits. The regulations include:

  • No religious activities that are not approved by SARA.
  • No one may provide a venue for religious services that are not approved by SARA.
  • No publishing religious materials without approval from SARA.
  • No foreign or domestic donations may be made to any religious organization that hasn’t been approved by SARA.
  • No one may call themselves a pastor without the approval of SARA.
  • No international religious exchanges may happen without the approval of SARA.
  • No one may study theology at school without the approval of SARA.

CHINESE CHRISTIANS PERSECUTED

The destruction of Golden Lampstand Church, where more than 50,000 Christians reportedly worshiped, was planted with explosives in an underground worship hall to demolish the building. It had been constructed with nearly $2.6m (£1.9m) in contributions from local worshippers in one of China’s poorest regions.  Continue reading CHINESE CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION 2

CHINA & DECEASED RELATIVES 2

In China, 44 percent of religiously unaffiliated people have worshiped at a burial site in the past year. Yet, many young Chinese look down on these traditions, calling them “superstitious” and “old-fashioned.”

CHINA AND DECEASED RELATIVES
A Chinese man brings flowers to the grave site of his deceased relatives to mark the Qingming.

Local funerals involve much pomp and ceremony; the family uses extravagance to demonstrate their love for the deceased. The night vigil shows a sign of respect.

CHINA DECEASED RELATIVES

How would we both honor the meaning of Christian funerals and also Chinese traditions? Both are different. Some think that Christianity shows excessive love for foreign things.  They say it shows a rejection of one’s roots. Yet, these traditional funeral ceremonies seemed strange to many of a younger generation.

CAN SAINTS IN HEAVEN HEAR OUR PRAYERS?

A Christian funeral with Christian meaning  includes important prayers for the deceased.  Catholics believe in offering prayers for deceased relatives

“In heaven the elders and angels offer up the prayers of the saints [on earth] as incense before the throne of God”                                                                                                                                                     Revelation 5:8; 8:3-4

This implies that the angels and elders (holy Christians  now in heaven) hear the prayers of every Christian on earth, and join their prayer now with ours: they can hear our prayers for the deceased.

AN EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH 2

GOD’S TOUCH

Without expecting anything, simply say, “I love you, Jesus” with your whole heart. Something that was a simple thought experiment can turn into something spectacular. A flood of energy can enter.

It is actually more of an intellectual and psychological strain not to believe in God than to believe: it’s about no hopelessness, not shutting out spirituality and coming to grips with the infinite. Logically, there is some sort of organized principal above or something unexplained but at least accessible to you right now!

 EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH

What would happen if you let down your guard and stop resisting Christianity for a little experiment? What if you let Jesus in? Without expecting anything, simply say, “I love you, Jesus” with your whole heart. Someone like you tried this. Something that was a simple thought experiment turned into something spectacular. A flood of energy entered into that person.

You may be at the door, but you are afraid to enter.

Alternatively, you may wish to be more truthful about your relationship with Jesus. You need to build up this love relationship. A relationship means that you have to at least know a little about Jesus. It can start by reading a short biography of Jesus in the gospel of Luke. Later you can promote yourself to the gospel about love: the gospel of John. Now try an experiment that has been successful with other unbelievers.

A relationship means communication both ways. You can start by saying something others have said,”Jesus, if you exist, don’t be coy. You could just show yourself to me.”

What happened?

Immediately, I felt His Presence. I cannot adequately describe this: words fail. It was not a light, but a Person, fully, as if walking beside me, yet not of a man walking, but rather a source of pure light, pure heat: an irradiation of perfect Love, more real than the world around me and therefore tending to blot it out. I did not have to ask, “Are you the Christ?” for I knew this already.                                                                David Warren

 EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH

You can classify this as a miracle: a  surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine source. Do you believe in miracles? Try reading about or visiting Lourdes or Fatima. You will be convinced that miracles do happen. Continue reading AN EXPERIMENT OF GOD’S TOUCH 2

NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES

NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES

THE 10 NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCES

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE

Our Near Death Experiences showed us that God has prepared a future for you filled with more exhilaration and excitement. It will be the most breathtaking beauty, more love and depth with friends and family than you have ever experienced on earth.

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away …He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:1, 4

How did hundreds of people — doctors, airline pilots, bank presidents , tenured professors– who didn’t need to make up wild stories to make money (and would lose professional credibility doing so),  describe such an amazing similar place.

The prophets like Isaiah were told by God that the new Heaven and new earth will have similarities to the beauty of the present earth, but restored and improved:

“See, I will create
new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever
    in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight
    and its people a joy.

They will build houses and dwell in them;
they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.
The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
and dust will be the serpent’s food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
    on all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.:”                                            Isaiah 65:17,18;24,25

God tells Isaiah His Holy City will be a place of beauty and joy, with plants and trees, vineyards and fruit, mountains and valleys, where all the creatures finally will live in harmony — as we intuitively know it should be.

CAN RELATIVES IN HEAVEN HEAR OUR PRAYERS?

CAN SAINTS IN HEAVEN HEAR OUR PRAYERS?

“In heaven the elders and angels offer up the prayers of the saints [on earth] as incense before the throne of God”                                                                                                                                                      Revelation 5:8; 8:3-4

This implies that the angels and elders (holy Christians now in heaven) hear the prayers of every Christian on earth, and join their prayer now with ours: they can hear our prayers.

We can indeed ask the angels and saints for their prayers. They can hear us and respond to us by praying for us. This is not idolatry. Idolatry would only occur if one believed that a saint or angel would give you something that our Lord would not.

God provides everything we need for us to be transformed into the image of Christ in this life.

If we die in the state of grace but before we have been fully conformed to the image of Christ, purgatory will complete that process for us.  The process of purgatory has been compared to the refiners touch. The souls of our loved ones must be saved by prayer from torments .

RELATIVES HEAVEN PRAYERS

LOST IN PURGATORY: the Immortal Soul

“Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt. So will my heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from his heart.”                                                                                                              Matthew 18: 34,35

Doesn’t that sound like a form of purgatory to you: until he should pay back the whole debt.”?

Message from a soul in Purgatory to a mystic:                                                         “I know when you pray for me, and it is the same with all of the other souls here in Purgatory. Very few of us here get any prayers; the majority of us are totally abandoned, with no thought or prayers offered for us from those on earth Continue to pray; I will repay you later on. When I am released you will see that I will do far more for you than you have ever done for me.”

YOUR LOVED ONES

As we get older, the majority of those we love best are dead. What sort of intercourse with God could we have, if what we love best were not important to Him?                                                            C.S. Lewis

So where does that leave your loved one? You probably never even considered the possibility of purgatory: no thought, no prayers, no hope. You may even have been taught that there is no purgatory, because it has not been mentioned specifically by name in the Bible.

YOUR LOVED ONES ARE TOTALLY HELPLESS.

GOD’S HEALING ASSURED 2

HEALING FROM GOD’S MERCY

God in His mercy has decreed blessing for us by sending Christ to take the curse of disease and sickness from us and bring healing.

“He himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.”                                                                                  1 Peter 2:24

These are the exact words that a Divine Healer say when they lay hands on someone for healing: IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND BY HIS WOUNDS, YOU (NAME) ARE HEALED OF (AFFLICTION).

This is assured for any affliction even cancer and any addiction.  The spirit world knows no limitation: long distance healing is also assured.

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”      Matthew 8:17

Jesus used the authority of the Father given to Christ over heaven and earth Matthew. 28:18, to “pray over” James 5:14 the sick and command the enemy to go. “Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it.”                                           John 14:14

MERCY HEALING

Some Christians pray for healing as if asking for a favor from God. In seeking healing we are not to ask God for a favor; instead, we are to glorify the Father by expecting the justice due us as a result of Christ’s awesome work for us… And we will receive it. Quit begging. Quit asking for a favor – expect God’s mercy. Continue reading GOD’S HEALING ASSURED 2

TO ENTER GATE OF HEAVEN 2

WHAT CAN YOU SAY TO ENTER HEAVEN?

One of the greatest gifts we can offer our family and friends is helping them to die well. We have to sit quietly with them and say: “Do not be afraid … I love you, God loves you … it’s time for you to go in peace. … I won’t cling to you any longer … I set you free to go home … go gently, go with my love.” It is the greatest gift that you can give.

DEATH BETTER

When Jesus died he said: “Father, into your hands I commit My Spirit”. Luke 23:46 It is good to repeat these words often with our dying friends.

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

“The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want … and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for years to come.”                          Psalms 23:1, 6

Death frees us from the boundaries of chronology and brings us into God’s “time,” which is timeless. There is no “past,” “present,” or “future.”

‘Holy Sonnet 10: Death, Be Not Proud‘ by John Donne (1572-1631) Continue reading TO ENTER GATE OF HEAVEN 2

Why Pray? 2

WHY PRAY?
Why Pray

God wills us to pray in order to develop an incredible fellowship with Him. In fact, we are all wired for this. Why pray? As  St. Augustine once said, “You have made us for Yourself; and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.

The vast company of faithful in other world religions testify that prayer makes a tremendous difference in one’s life. Most of us cannot function either well  or long without prayer. Why Pray

Contemporary man has rediscovered the sacred, even if he does not always know how to identify it. Is man truly capable of knowing something beyond what he sees with his eyes or hears with his ears?

Man recognizes himself as an ethical being, capable of acting according to criteria of good and evil, and not only those of profit and pleasure. He also recognizes himself as a spiritual being, capable of putting himself in contact with God.

Prayer is the first verification of such a reality. That is how a conversation begins with your Creator.

Of course, there are those who say “I believe in Jesus Christ”, but they don’t affect the way they live. The answer is not that we now have to add hard work to our faith; rather, we haven’t truly understood or believed in Jesus at all.

prayer

Try reading Psalm 23 for three weeks. It begins with, “The Lord is my Shepherd… ” and ends with, “I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” You will notice the difference. This is a prayer of affirmation — not a prayer of petition, asking for favors. It will move you so much, that you will want to make it part of your daily spiritual life from now on.
