SOLUTIONS TO BULLYING

Bullying Solutions

SUFFERING IN SILENCE

Bullying can enter a kid’s life at anytime and send them spiraling down towards hopelessness and despair. The young victims are rarely aware of the options available to them, which is why they continue to suffer in silence. You need to help your child realize that they’re not weak and help them discover ways to bring their torment to an end.

A SUFFOCATING EXPERIENCE

Bullying can often leave the victim feeling utterly distraught, making them feel like the walls are closing in on them and that there’s no easy escape from the nightmare. People they turn to for help can let them down, thus reinforcing their sense of isolation. Depression despair and desperation can drive them to the edge, tempting them to end their misery at the expense of their health, dreams and even life.

WARNING SIGNS

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) identify these possible warning signs for bullying:

  • Child comes home with torn, damaged or missing clothes, books, or belongings
  • Unexplained cuts, bruises, scratches
  • Has few friends, if any
  • Seems afraid to go to school or take part in after-school activities
  • Takes a long “illogical” route when walking to and from school
  • Has lost interest in school work or suddenly begins to do poorly
  • Appears sad, moody, teary, or depressed when he/she comes home
  • Has trouble sleeping and/or frequent bad dreams
  • Experiences a loss of appetite
  • Appears anxious and suffers from low self-esteem
  • Recurrent complaints of physical symptoms such as stomach-aches or headaches with no apparent cause
  • Sudden change in language (calling themselves a “loser” or a best friend a “jerk”)

CARE OF THE SOUL

Materialistic life can be so absorbing that we get caught in it and we forget about spirituality. Many don’t believe in the soul and therefore many don’t give it any place in the hierarchy of values. What we need is soul in the middle holding together mind and body. A spiritual life of some kind is absolutely necessary for psychological ”health”.

CARE OF THE SOUL

Psychology is a secular science while care of the soul is a sacred art. We separate psychology and religion, therapy and spiritual practice. Psychology and spirituality need to be seen as one. Psychology is incomplete if it doesn’t include spirituality in a fully integrated way. When the soul is neglected, our problem doesn’t just go away; it appears symptomatically in obsessions, addictions, violence and loss of meaning.

The emotional complaints of our time that are heard by therapist:

  • Emptiness
  • Meaninglessness
  • Vague Depression
  • Disillusion about marriage, family and relationship
  • Loss of values
  • Yearning for personal fulfillment
  • A hunger for spirituality

OUR QUEST

All these symptoms reflect a loss of soul and let us know what the soul craves. We cannot solve our “emotional” problems until we grasp the mystery that honors the Divine.

We yearn excessively for entertainment, power, intimacy, sexual fulfillment, and material things. We think we can find these things if we discover the right relationship or job or therapy. We strive to attain alluring satisfaction in great masses, thinking that quantity will make up for lack of quality.

Yet, without soul, whatever we find will be unsatisfying. What we truly long for is the soul in each of these areas. Soul doesn’t pour into our lives automatically. It requires our skill and attention.

We cannot care for the soul unless we are familiar with its ways. We need to make the necessary changes revealed by depression and anxiety. These problems make it felt because the soul needs attention.

ILLNESS AND HEALING

Doctors are learning that there is an actual correlation between psychological experience and physical ailments. For example, one’s colon is unhappy. Doctors know that there is a relationship between repressed anger and colitis. If cancer cell growth has gone berserk, is there something that has been disordered?

The word, “disease or dis-ease” says it all. It means without ease and disease emanates from stress. Disturbances created from marriage and family can be more stressful to the soul than conditions of work.

Modern medicine is hell-bent on cure and has no interest in anything about the soul. Maybe our lives are too secular and in need of such a visitation through the soul. Do we know what can be speaking silently to us in our body? “Recognize what is before your eyes, and what is hidden will be revealed to you.”    Gospel of Thomas Continue reading CARE OF THE SOUL

DEMAND FOR EXORCISM

DEMAND FOR EXORCISM

GROWING DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

Two of America’s most active exorcists say there is now a growing demand for their services as more unchurched Americans have been turning to them for help with demonic oppression, possession and other dark spiritual activity.

Father Gary Thomas, from The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist, and Father Vincent Lampert, in the series “Paranormal Witness” commented that the increase in exorcism was caused by:

  • an expanding spiritual void in the lives of Americans
  • the diminishing authority of the Church
  • the failure of the mental healthcare system

They say an overwhelming number of requests that they get from people seeking help are regularly diagnosed as actual manifestations of demonic attachment, infestation, vexation or full possession. Many of the requests for help are not coming from practicing Christians but the unchurched segment of the population. Many of those who seek help are desperate people who have had no success with psychology and psychiatry.

We’re gaining all sorts of knowledge but there’s still that emptiness within us that is being filled with addictive behavior such as drugs and pornography. There’s a line in the Old Testament that says when one grows in knowledge one also grows in despair. “For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.”                                                                                                                 Ecclesiastes 1: 18

The struggle against evil in society is becoming more of an emergency, and there is a direct cause: horror films, books, and television series which create temptation. Reading “occult books,” watching “occult movies,” can expose people to demonic possession. The most common occult activity is using an Ouija board to summon the dead.

DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

The demand for exorcists in the U.S. appears to be following a global trend some say has been inspired by the leadership of Pope Francis in acknowledging the presence of the devil. Pope Francis has warned in past speeches that Satanism is on the rise in the world, and has praised exorcists for combating “the devil’s works.”

More people are finding out about exorcism because of radio programs like “Light in the Darkness.” in the Philippines. Television programs depict exorcism such as Fox’s “The Exorcist”.

DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

The few people, who are possessed, may lose consciousness and they may even speak strange languages. Very well-mannered people may begin to vomit and blaspheme. Some may have inordinate strength.

Most people are not possessed in this way, but they can be influenced by the devil in subtle ways. They feel really bad. There are sign posts:

KETOGENIC DIET FOR DEPRESSION

KETOGENETIC DIET FOR DEPRESSION

It’s no secret that most people are overworked, under-rested, and living on a poor diet. It’s also no coincidence that the modern advice to eat a diet high in carbohydrates, low in fat, and with constant snacking or small meals throughout the day has coincided with a rise in diabetes, obesity, and mental issues like anxiety and depression.

Depression is no joke. It’s serious. It affects approximately 3 million people every year, just in the US. Approximately 1 in 5 in the US and Canada will experience a mental health illness in any given year , and almost 7% of the population will have experienced a major depressive episode in the past year.

Starting a ketogenic diet, removing high-carb refined foods, losing weight, and eating whole foods is bound to help with mood and make you happier. This alone could have benefits for those with depression. They have studied rats on a ketogenic diet displayed less behavioural despair— meaning they exhibited less hopelessness, and they were more active than the control group not eating keto.

The general consensus is that the brain functions more cleanly and efficiently when a significant portion of its energy comes from ketones, calming overactive and overly-reactive brain cells.

It should be noted that when the body is initially adapting to burning fat instead of glucose, a period known as the “keto flu,” one might feel worse at first. So it may take several weeks or longer for most people to adapt to a low carb diet.

During that transition time when you are first reducing your carb intake, your body has to make new enzymes to burn fat instead of glucose. While it’s busy making these enzymes, and you are eating less carbs, your brain chemistry is changing, and it’s possible to experience lower mood during this time, but it passes once the body adjusts and is able to level out. As your body adapts and learns how to burn fat instead of sugar, mood levels out, and the depressive feelings lift.

KETOGENIC DIET FOR DISEASES

KETOGENIC DIET FOR DISEASESRANGE OF DISEASES

While the keto diet is touted for its fat-burning effects, there’s growing evidence that it can help a range of diseases, including migraine headaches, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy Autism and Depression.

KETOGENIC DIET FOR DISEASES

These also include psychiatric disorders like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and attention or memory problems.

Doctors know that fasting reduced the amount of seizures, and eating mainly fat and little else mimicked the effect of starvation in the brain: each molecule of ketone (good fat) bodies produces more energy than glucose, but less oxidative stress, so the brain and the muscles work more efficiently. This effect of ketone bodies as energetic boosters is very important in migraine patients, or migraineurs, because they have an energetic deficit in the brain.

Ketone bodies also have an anti-inflammatory effect. The ketone bodies dampen the neural inflammation that’s both common in epilepsy and migraines and modulate the cortical excitability.

It is a sustainable way to eat a lot of plant based foods, healthy nourishing, brain healthy fats, and it has been shown to have several anti-aging components to it.

It is often referred to as a fasting mimicking diet, because it has the same benefits as fasting in terms of weight loss, insulin sensitivity, neurotrophic and neurogenic effects on the brain, improved cholesterol markers and insulin resistance.

A 16-week study also found a 16% reduction in blood sugar levels. Additionally, 7 of the 21 participants were able to completely stop all diabetic medication.

It should be noted that when the body is initially adapting to burning fat instead of glucose, a period known as the “keto flu,” one might feel worse at first. So it may take several weeks or longer for most people to adapt to a low carb diet.

KETO DIET SUCCESS STORIES

In 2009, a 12-month case study details the experience of a 70-year old overweight woman with chronic schizophrenia who was prescribed a diet limited to 20 grams of carbohydrate per day. She noted significant improvement in severe symptoms beginning only eight days after starting the diet. She reported complete resolution of auditory and visual hallucinations–with which she’d suffered since age seven.

A 20-month case study of a man with Alzheimer’s disease whose cognition and function significantly improved with the use of ketone supplements

A high carb diet has resulted in severe depressive episodes that come in cycles, and worsen with the amount of carbohydrate I eat. Conversely, when I stick to a low carb diet, my mood evens out, I feel a lot better, and I’m not dependent on the next sugar fix to feel good. For me, low carb eating is a great depression treatment.

THE HOLY GRAIL

While the keto diet is touted for its fat-burning effects, there’s growing evidence that it can help a range of diseases, including migraine headaches and depression.

“Being in a mild state of ketosis is really the place to be,” neurologist David Perlmutter says in the film, adding that fat powers the brain better than carbs do.

A top neurosurgeon who specializes in brain tumors at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, “I really think the ketogenic diet is going to be…part of that magic bullet, the holy grail of treating people with this disease.” Continue reading KETOGENIC DIET FOR DISEASES

UNBOUNDED!

Unbounded“Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”                                                                                   1 Peter 5:8

Sometimes temptation is not a struggle against personal weakness, but it is a strategic demonic attack to derail one’s faith. Yet, “Resist the devil and he will flee from youJames 4:7. When we are tempted, God will provide a way out: “And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”                                                                                                       1 Corinthians 10:13

Resisting temptation, repenting of sin, and renouncing the works of the devil and forgiving those who have harmed you account for 98% of all deliverance. Deliverance simple removes any obstacles so we may receive God’s blessing.

Unbounded

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 Yet, the area of evil influences goes unnoticed and unaddressed in the pursuit of God’s healing. Too many Christians are quickly turning to professional counselors when a problem arises. God wants us to be healed and He wants us to be blessed. His power of deliverance is much greater that that of a gifted counselor.

Over 95 % of most people have no physical manifestation of evil. Yet, most believers will admit that certain areas of their lives are not submitted to Christ. Ironically, many faithful Christians have lived with hidden sins, compulsions, and fear and it never occurred to them that they are in need of deliverance from evil spirits. Of course, there are those who think that they can solve the problem themselves. So, pride prevents those from receiving God’s forgiveness and mercy.

Fear and unforgiveness are the biggest obstacles to being set free. It is the most prominent entryway of the devil: we need to respond to trauma, abuse, and issues involving family and friends. Once an entryway is exposed from this evil world such as alcohol, drugs and pleasure seeking, taking authority is very simple.

During a prayer of deliverance one may be asked to renounce a specific spirit. For example, you would repeat after the deliverer: “I renounce the spirit of unforgiveness, hurt and rejection. I forgive you _____________ or I renounce the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness.

Then all healing happens when we repent or forgive and turn to God; it is then when we experience His love and acceptance. The interplay between healing and deliverance is integrated. Healing cannot be done unless there is total deliverance.

PTSD (Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder)

traumaIn ancient Greece, it was called, “divine madness”. During the U.S. Civil War it was called, “soldier’s heart”. During World War I it was called, “shell shock”. NEEDING ESSENTIAL DELIVERANCE

Deliverance EssentialTRYING TO MEET NEEDS IN THE WRONG PLACES

In Alcoholic Anonymous  they have a saying for insanity: trying to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. We  are often guilty of insane behavior.

First we must identify what our real needs are.  For example, caring for children can mask the need to care for ourselves. We can get stuck trying to meet false needs.

There are four essential needs

  • Affirmation: we need to be acknowledged and appreciated.
  • We need to express love: to hug and share.
  • We need to share our emotions and our experiences: what we think and what we feel.
  • We need to grow; we need space and opportunity to grow.

JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU

ESSENTIAL DELIVERANCE

“I love you.

Come and join Me in the desert. I am here in a large cave where I spend My days with the Father in prayer. I am getting ready to begin My public life to bring the Good News to the people. Here in the desert I was tempted by the devil three times.

MARIJUANA AS MEDICINE 2

There is no level of marijuana use that is actually completely safe. . even the casual use of marijuana changes the brain. This new marijuana is beyond simple medical use for pain.

MARIJUANA MEDICINE

The adolescent brain — particularly the part of the brain that regulates planning for complex cognitive behavior, personality expression, decision making and social behavior — is not fully developed until the early to mid-20s.

Marijuana also affects brain development, and when it is used heavily by young people, its effects on thinking and memory may last a long time or even be permanent. And a large long-term study in New Zealand showed that people who began smoking marijuana heavily in their teens lost an average of 8 points in IQ between age 13 and age 38. Importantly, the lost cognitive abilities were not fully restored in those who quit smoking marijuana as adults.

IS MARIJUANA ADDICTIVE?

Research has found that 1 in 11 of all marijuana users will become addicted to the drug. And if a person begins using under the age of 18, that number rises to one in six people.  We also know that almost 60% of new marijuana users each year are under age 18.
