PRIESTS HAVE HEALING POWERS

PRIESTS HEALING

Healing was essential to the ministry of Jesus because healing offered indisputable evidence that He is the Christ of God: ”Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples … these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”                                                                                                                                         John 21:30-31

Does Jesus still perform miracles today? Do you know someone who has been healed or whose life has been transformed by a relationship with Christ? Then you have seen a modern-day miracle of Jesus. You, too, can be an eyewitness to a miracle of Christ.

All ministers, priests or religious have healing powers. Most don’t have the faith that is needed to use it. There are  two provisos: our saintly priest or religious must be born again and he must be following Jesus’ Great Commission:  (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world … In My name they will drive out demons; … they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”                                                                                                                                       Mark 16:15,17,18

PRIESTS HEALING

This is what happened to Father Fernando Suarez, a Filipino Catholic priest, who now performs faith healing in the Philippines and elsewhere. His missionary ministry came to Ottawa Canada from the Philippines. All his associates from his order, the Companions of the Cross, were dumbfounded by his gift of healing. He was simply following the Great Commission even though it was acted out in reverse: missionary work from the Philippines to Canada.

Healing Priest

A HEALING STORY OF A PRIEST

Here is a story from a priest who did not believe he had the power until he was confronted by a very sick lady. She asked for healing. He blessed her and ran away.

Later that week he overheard from strangers that a lady with terminal cancer was miraculously healed by another priest. In a similar way, this priest had also first run away after he blessed the individual.

Our priest friend changed his mind on the matter. He began to understand that sometimes healing occurs at the most importune of times.

Others, like this lady, were moved by the Holy Spirit to challenge this faithless priest in order to get healed. She got healed. He got his faith back. Talk about a two for one affair.Priest healing

PREPARATION: “Daily” Prayer to the Holy Spirit:

Lord, I love You. Lord, I believe in You. Lord, I trust You.

I praise you and thank you for everything just the way it is.

I ask my dearest Holy Spirit to shower upon me all Your gifts and graces:

  • Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding
  • Strength and Courage
  • Discernment and Deliverance
  • Water *and Healing
  • Direction and Perception

Make me sensitive to any divine appointment that You have aligned for me today.

Bring on all Your ministering angels –all for Your glory.

Thank you, Lord.

* My personal mission is water and electricity (the HUG).

I AM WAITING FOR YOU TO GIVE ME THE ORDER.

Many ask and keep on asking and nothing ever happens. They lowered the net, but they haven’t caught anything yet.

Self-confidence may be  empty, but humility is fertile. “But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”                                                   Luke 5:5

Those who had not caught anything until then, now, at the Lord’s voice, they caught an enormous amount of fish. Afterwards, Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”                                                                                                                    Luke 5:10

PRIESTS HEALING

FAITH  is not FEELINGS.

Healing is a present promise of God that one appropriates by faith.

God, who can read hearts, knows intimately which of His children is best suited to be healers. God will tell them which person He wants them to go to (by divine appointment), but first they must be available.

Usually this gift of healing from God is given to those who do evangelical or missionary work and are born again. The missionary must be given the tools or gifts in order to do the necessary healing.

IF — THE BADGE OF DOUBT

A faith healer will sometimes make a simple mistake and say to the person being healed, “See if you can stoop over and bend your back”. “See if you can: that is doubt. The healing is done by faith and faith alone. No matter who you are, if you move in unbelief, you will stop the flow of God’s power.

Are there any physical signs to know you are being healed?

Father Francis MacNutt stated in his book Healing that “Some people experience the same electrical transfer of power, sometimes a like a gentle electric current, sometimes like a flow of warmth. Whatever it is, it is sometimes connected with healing. It is almost like a transfer of life”. (182)

The first way of appropriating faith is the laying on of hands by the faith healer. Immediately after prayers the healer will usually ask one to check out the healing by doing something that one was not able to do before.

DELIVERANCE

DELIVERANCE SPIRIT

If there are little sign of healing, a Prayer of Deliverance is needed in order to eliminate any obstacles.

An accompanying prayer of deliverance usually results with a feeling of a complete sense of peace. This gives assurance that God is working.

There are obstacles to healing that will need a prayer of deliverance, for example,

  • Individuals have refused to forgive others, and they are deeply ingrained in sin.
  • There may be childhood scars that need healing.

One must get to the root cause of the problem before the faith can be appropriated for healing. The Holy Spirit can show a person directly or indirectly through the lenses of others.

Deliverance does not imply possession of one’s faculties, an aspect of demonic possession. Christians are still liable to demonic influence .that comes about by an opening, e.g. entertaining ungodly or superstitious beliefs. Deliverance enables God to bring freedom from bondage, oppression, hardship, or domination by evil.

God in his wisdom has made deliverance a simple act of faith and will: “ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” Philippians 2:10. The SINLESS person praying for deliverance commands an evil spirit defined by its function to leave and never return without manifestation in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and go to the abyss. This command is repeated for every spirit as illustrated in the prayer below.

PRAYER DELIVERANCE

Usually 80% of the healing takes place immediately. The complete healing will take place over a reasonable short time, but this requires homework: the one being healed must praise and thank God every day or whenever he or she thinks about it until the complete healing has taken place. The prayer below is invaluable. It answers the question of how long will this healing last.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING:

To be said daily and whenever you think about it until all the healing is complete:

Lord, I thank You and I praise you for Your healing.

or a shorter 7 word Breathe Prayer:

Lord, I thank You and praise you.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

  • Christians don’t shout, “I am clean living!” They whisper “I was lost, but now I’m found and forgiven.”
  • Christians don’t speak of this with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
  • Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they are trying to be strong because they are really weak and need strength.
  • Christians don’t brag of success, but they admit that they are failing and they need God to clean up the mess.
  • Christians don’t claim to be perfect. Their flaws are far too visible but God believes they are worth it.
  • Christians still feel the sting of pain and they have their share of headaches but they call upon His Name.
  • Christians are not holier than thou. They are also simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable grace.

  Christianity on a Table Napkin:

AUTHENTIC LIFE

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.                                                                                                                                           Romans 10:9

The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was so that He could suffer in the flesh, take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily.
He is the Saviour – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21    It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His wings.
If you are not yet received Jesus as your Saviour… SAY: Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Be Lord of my life!  Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Saviour and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen

God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will have begun.  “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.”                                       Luke 1: 49

Are we not like Barabbas justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”?  And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD.

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.    Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to this Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading the Gospel according to John: It is all about love and you will love it. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. Soaking yourself in the love of God defends you from attacks of the enemy.

HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

ADDICTION GRACEADDICTION RECOVERY

Addiction Recovery can take months and for some many years involving medication. There is a short cut that God provides in the form of Grace, which is a mysterious interweaving of divine grace and human willingness.

We may yearn to let go and let God,” but it usually doesn’t happen until we have exhausted our own efforts.

addiction grace

LOTS OF ADDICTIONS

Most people are addicted to something, be it a substance or one’s own self-concept. Anything that steals life from us and causes us to make illogical or hasty decisions is our addiction: anything we cling to instead of God. The object of the addiction, whether it is drugs or alcohol or sex are not the primary issue. Rather, it is becoming obsessed with them: a false sense of love. It includes many other areas: chocolate, food, Facebook, power, fame, pornography, even driving too fast, etc.

The truth is, we were never meant to be completely satisfied. Saint Augustine states “You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.” We give all our time and energy to the addiction, instead of love. We were created for love but we seek it apart from the Creator. Addiction, then, displaces and supplants God’s love as the source and object of our deepest true desire.

Addiction is a spiritual disease, a disease of the soul, an illness resulting from this same longing, frustrated desire, and deep dissatisfaction – which is ironically the necessary beginning of any spiritual path.”HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

Having a personal relationship with God begins the moment we realize our need for Him, admit we are sinners, and in faith receive Jesus Christ as Savior. God, our heavenly Father, has always desired to be close to us, to have a relationship with us.

God gently and humbly waits for our invitation to enter into our emptiness, our place of deepest longing. “It is all about “God’s love (which) has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us”                                                                   Romans 5:5

ADDICTION GRACE
There have been books written about grace that imply that grace can come from any source. You cannot speak of the healing power of grace apart from Jesus, no matter what you read about New Age, Buddhism or Hinduism. It is only the grace of God through Jesus Christ that brings real transformation, despite the fact that they may continue to help your spirituality, which is not the real issue here.

THE “HOW-TO” STUFF

Just ask yourself to stop something, and if you can’t, you’ll be face to face with addiction. Then we use the Grace Toggle or Grace Switch. Grace is the most powerful force in the universe and it is where your hope lies. Grace is what draws us toward God.

Whenever we have an urge for a drink or a smoke you say this little prayer and the addictive feeling will fade away. Try this “Living Water of Grace and you will see and you will be surprised if it is from the heart.

Through Jesus Christ, a “faith healer” can heal you from any of your ailments including your addiction. You will also need to be delivered from all evil spirits influencing you, because addiction is tied to evil or to Satan.

ADDICTION GRACE

What is further required is an acknowledgement of your faith in God. It begins with this prayer of faith from the heart. Faith and healing are intertwined. The emphasis is “from the heart” otherwise it all becomes a worship disorder.

Lord Jesus, I love You! Lord Jesus, I believe in You!                    Lord Jesus,  I trust You!

To be said daily and whenever you think about it until all the healing is complete:

Lord, I thank You and I praise you for Your healing.

or a shorter 7 word Breathe Prayer:

Lord, I thank You and praise you.

This prayer is to be said upon temptation and anytime you think about it until complete healing has taken place and at a very minimum at least once a day. Actually, in recovery, only hour by hour gratitude is strong enough to overcome all temptations.

addiction grace

POWER IN PRAISE

HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

So praise becomes the medicine, We are to praise God for everything even for our addiction which may eventually cause us to free ourselves for a committed relationship to God.

Praise God for everything???  When you are affected by conflicts and inner confusion, you finally come to a deeper consciousness of God because of these intentional struggles.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”                                                                                                             Thessalonians 5:16-18

It is also an ongoing process in which one, and with grace, grows ever more deeply in love. It is an ongoing transition from compulsively trying to control one’s life toward a trusting and openness to God.

“Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip. For You, O God, have tested us; You have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; You laid burdens on our backs; You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet You have brought us out to a spacious place.” (freeing us from attachments).                                                                            Psalm 66:8-12

ADDICTION GRACE

TRUST IS THE BASIS OF LIFE.

Without trust, no human being can live. Trapeze artists offer a beautiful image of this. Fliers have to trust their catchers. They can do the most spectacular doubles, triples, or quadruples, but what finally makes their performance spectacular are the catchers who are there for them at the right time in the right place.

Much of our lives is flying. It is wonderful to fly in the air free as a bird, but when God isn’t there to catch us, all our flying comes to nothing. Let’s trust in the Great Catcher.                                                                Henri Nouwen

A ”faith healer” is one who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit (born again) and has received the Gift of Healing.  He or she is sinless and often are involved with missionary work. God knows that healing is an effective way that missionaries need to introduce or strengthen Christianity. Check out the following links:

LAY SPIRITUALITY

LAY SPIRITUALITY

The spirit of Christian lay spirituality or martyrdom is to live for Christ alone; to live the gospel without compromise, and to be unconcerned about the consequences or without counting the cost. When the gospel speaks of witness, the Greek word for a witness is martyr.

In the past Christianity was more popular. Christianity had been absorbed into the culture. There was no one to bear witness to except for foreign lands.

Today our world has two characteristics: the force of evil spirits always present and the inertia of the world that resists any efforts to introduce a higher orbit of human activity. Society “outlaws” Christians in very subtle ways: Why do you want to rock the boat? Why do you want to be different?

It is a challenge to live as a witness and disciple of Jesus our Savior in the midst of secular life. Businessmen are hard; war is ruthless; abortions are legal; pornography is everywhere; sex is taken for granted; drugs are commonplace: it’s a pagan society. “For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.”                                                                                                                                       Philippians 2:21

Christians accept a “normal” life in the world. They are not against drinking, dancing, dating, buying, selling or going to the movies. They accept the complexity of moral choices in the world. They don’t refuse to do business with anybody who doesn’t operate by the highest standard of Christian morality.

Yet Christians set their course to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33, whatever the consequences. They may be crucified in this world for the stand they take on the gospel. Yet, they continue to avoid being ostracized, fired or just shoved in the corner and forgotten.

We know that we ought to be martyrs, but we still don’t know how to go about it. Christians must learn to embrace the cross; we must see this as our fulfillment: “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” Galatians 6:14. We become a sign in the midst of: “a wicked and adulterous generationMatthew 16:4 “Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16

The basic premise of Christianity is that the gospel is news to the world. To be news it has to be new as Jesus Christ was new who “is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 It is better than anything the world has to offer.

Christian lay missionaries must learn to surf but not in tranquil waters. Spiritual life is where the waves are. To each lay missionary, has been given the Holy Spirit and His gifts. We are not to bury our talents in the ground for safekeeping, but to seek the Kingdom of God by becoming a light to the world.

LAY SPIRITUALITY

All you are asked to do at this point is to take a first step and be willing to follow wherever Christ leads you. Only God knows exactly what you should do. If we don’t have the habit of pondering God’s Word in our hearts, we will never know how to apply this knowledge in our lives. This is how you make your own decisions. So begin with a prayer. Begin by reading the Scriptures and reflecting on it until you come to some sort of decision that will change your life in some way. And Christ will make the next move.

God is transforming the world and us in the world, through our own graced efforts and the gift of self.

There is no telling where it will lead you.

LAY SPIRITUALITY

We are actually a missionary people. We are sent by the Lord to spread His word and do His work. The Christian Gospel is just not something that we are meant to cling to for our own benefit. Rather, it is like seed that we are meant to give away.

Then he (Jesus) said to His disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”
Then He summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits to drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'”
Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, and drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”
Matthew 9:37-38.10:1.6-8

How do we make ourselves mission-oriented?

Remember the Great Commission:And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved …  In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”                                                                                     Mark 16:15-18

LAY SPIRITUALITY

Those who are born again with the Holy Spirit and who follow the Great Commission are given the gifts of the Holy Spirit like healing. God showers those missionaries with gifts in order that they may do His work.

They influence the church to become less like a club for insiders; rather they become a school for beginners or missionaries. It will be a church where people will see fruit, like healing.

YOUR TOOLS: PHYSICAL HEALING

Healing is the most effective way to proclaim the Good News of Christ.  More Christians enter into a deeper spiritual life through healing than any other way.

The Gift of Healing will become stronger at every mission trip. God knows that you are not on your mission trip to wish people good tidings.  You need the tools to evangelize and give witness. Those who already have  gifts will transfer those gifts upon you as Paul did: “I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong.”                                                                    Romans 1:11

LAY SPIRITUALITY

A healing minister is able to transfer his gift to you in the same way as Paul did once you have decided to become a Christian lay missionary. God does not cancel your gifts of healing just because you are back  home.

HEALING AND PEACE

The words healing and peace are synonymous with each other. You cannot have one without the other. The measure of healing is measured by the degree of peace we are feeling.

Native Americans believe that in order to be mentally healthy, one’s mind, heart and spirit must be in alignment. This means that mind, heart and spirit are meant to be in balance. If all three are equally weighed, one can walk the path of life with far less stress.

Peace is defined as a state of tranquility, of calmness, and healing as a restoration to normalcy. With the ups and downs of relationships, it becomes increasingly difficult to walk the path of life stress-free. Fear, anger, and stress are all barriers to healing; indeed these states often create illness.

LAY SPIRITUALITY

Relationship of Healing and Deliverance

“Then He appointed the twelve that they might be with Him, that He might send them out to preach and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons”                                 Mark 3:14-15

There is a relationship between healing and the need for deliverance. Many are never healed because they have never received deliverance from the spirits that made them sick.

Jesus accomplished two things: “Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons …” Mark 1: 34  Some people simply need healing from the diseases that have made them sick; others need deliverance from the spirits that have made them sick.

We are not saying that every disease is caused by a demon yet, it’s not that common to find illness that’s totally “natural” or one that’s totally “demonic”. There’s almost always an interaction between the two. There is a need for both natural healing and demonic healing.

“And these signs shall follow those who believe. In My Name they will cast out demons…”                                                                    Mark 16:17

“Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”                                                                                  Luke 10:19

Prayer is not incidental to this ministry.

It is not decorative. It is the lifeblood of the Christ’s efforts. Without it, nothing will succeed; without it, no ministry will come forward. At all points, pray, pray, pray for the Christian Lay Missionary.

Christianity on a Table Napkin:

Deliverance EVIL SPIRITS

Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.    Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to this Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading the Gospel according to Luke and then John: It is all about love and you will love it. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. Soaking yourself in the love of God defends you from attacks of the enemy.

Ah, beloved ones, I have come to heal your sores, your wounds and your infirmities, all which were so savagely inflicted upon you in this darkness; no, beloved ones, your sores are not past healing, your injuries are curable, for I-Am-With-You and ever so near you; so come to Me with love, ask Me with love and you will receive, invoke Me with love and I shall hear you; I will raise you to My Bosom and cradle you, comforting you; hear My Cry of Love and Peace:                      May 1, 1989

Faith or Physician?

The justification for relying on faith healing over conventional medicine comes from a belief that turning to man is diametrically opposed to turning to God. In other words, you can either turn to God for help, or you can turn to man for help – but not both.

The following scripture gives the physician  credibility which is due to him or her, but the patient may not have witnessed the Miracles of God’s Healing.  This dilemma  causes a lot of stress for the patient.  Yet, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”                                                                                                                Psalm 118:8

Physician: Sirach or Ecclesiastics:

1  “Honor the physician with the honor due him, according to your need of him, the Lord created him;

2  For healing comes from the Most High, and he will receive a gift from the king.

3  The skill of the physician lifts up his head, and in the presence of great men he is admired.

4  The Lord created medicines from the earth, and a sensible man will not despise them.

5  Was not water made sweet with a tree in order that his power might be known?

6  And he gave skill to men that he might be glorified in his marvelous works.

7  By them he heals and takes away pain;

8   The pharmacist makes of them a compound. His works will never be finished; and from him health is upon the face of the earth.

9   My son, when you are sick do not be negligent, but pray to the Lord, and he will heal you.

10  Give up your faults and direct your hands aright, and cleanse your heart from all sin.

11  Offer a sweet-smelling sacrifice, and a memorial portion of fine flour, and pour oil on your offering, as much as you can afford.

12  Give the physician his place, for the Lord created him; let him not leave you, for there is need of him.

13 There is a time when success lies in the hands of physicians,

14  For they too will pray to the Lord that he should grant them success in diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.

15  He who sins before his Maker, may he fall into the care of a physician.”                                                                                                                                                                                                      Sirach or Ecclesiastics 38: 1-15*

No medicine or ointment cured them. They were restored to health by your Word, O Lord, the word which heals all humanity.                                                                                                                                              Wisdom 16:12*

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH MARIJUANA?

Cannabis is the most commonly used illicit drug worldwide, with 5 million daily users worldwide.

Christians in America are facing the challenge of a majority approval of marijuana. A recent Gallup Poll revealed that 58% of Americans now favor its legalization, and 67% of ages 18 to 29 back legalization. Yet when Gallup first asked the question in 1969, only 12% favored legalization.

By September 2017, there was some form of marijuana legalization in 29 states and the District of Columbia. This massive change has occurred in less than fifty years, and it is a major sign of the seismic shift occurring in our culture—a shift that should concern Christians deeply.

What do we know about marijuana? Is it good for our health? Or can it be harmful and even lead to psychosis? But, most important, how does the Bible deal with it?

Older pot smokers have personally experienced and saw with their own eyes the destructive effects not only of marijuana but also of some of the other drugs to which it opened the door. And the pot they smoked then was much milder than what is available today.

 MARIJUANA HAPPENING

Billionaires now power its promotion. And radical changes are occurring in our society as a result.

THE BIBLE SPEAKS

  1. Marijuana is still illegal by federal law except within approved research situations. We are to obey the law. We are to obey the Law of God: “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.”                                                                                      Romans 13:1,
  2. We are to live soberly. The Bible tells believers to be sober and practice holy behavior. Marijuana (THC) can lead to a vulnerable, drunken type of state.
  • “Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy”.                                                         Romans 13:13
  • “The acts of the flesh are obvious: drunkenness, reveling, and …those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”                                                                                                                 Galatians 5:19, 21
  • “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walked about, seeking whom he may devour.”                                                                                                                                       1 Peter 5:8
  1. Marijuana can lead to idolatry and demonic bondage. Whatever has power over you becomes an idol, and behind every idol is a demon. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.                                                      1 Corinthians 10:21
  1. With the use of drugs, you are opening yourself up to all sorts of spiritual attacks and seducing spirits. Mind-altering drugs are used in witchcraft to alter your reality. This can be very dangerous. “Be alert and of sober mind.Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”                                                                                                 1 Peter 5:8
  2. When you commit your life to Jesus Christ, you know that you need to give up marijuana and other hallucinogenic drugs. You realize that the influence of these drugs was the opposite of the influence of the Holy Spirit. The two are incompatible.“But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh;rather, serve one another humbly in love.”                                                           Galatians 5:13

GOING TO POT WITH TURBO POT!

There’s a vital fact many people don’t realize: The current weed is immensely more powerful than it used to be—to the point of being hallucinogenic. In their book Going to Pot, William Bennett and Robert White explain:

Let’s acknowledge that today’s marijuana is at least five times stronger than the marijuana of the past. The THC levels of today’s marijuana average around 15 percent, but go as high as 20 percent and above in the dispensaries found throughout the states that have legalized it for ‘medicinal’ or recreational use. The marijuana of today is simply not the same drug it was in the 60s, 70s or 80s, much less the 1930s. It is much more potent, leading to a great many more health risks.

The difference between 3 to 5 percent THC and 13 to 30 percent THC is very significant. It is like comparing a twelve-ounce glass of beer with a twelve-ounce glass of 80 proof vodka; both contain alcohol, but they have vastly different effects on the body. Some have taken to calling today’s marijuana “industrial marijuana” or “turbo pot.”

Such high levels can be hallucinogenic and cause profound perceptual distortions of reality. Regular use may lead to “flashbacks” or (sometimes frightening) hallucinations that can reoccur for years. There may be panic and anxiety attacks, and health problems. Used with other drugs or medications, it can lead to vomiting, stroke, increased blood pressure, convulsions, seizures, and nerve problems; and it can affect babies in the womb.

Psychosis. And then there is the connection with psychosis. “Nine studies following hundreds to thousands of people for decades searched for a connection between marijuana use and psychosis. All but one of these studies suggests a connection between marijuana use and schizophrenia.”

 MARIJUANA HAPPENING

Other studies reveal the connection between high pot use and a clinically significant increased risk of developing schizophrenia and other mental illnesses during adolescence. Our own experience has shown that you can’t know how it will affect you; it might seem fine for a while and then act without warning as a depth charge in your soul.

MARIJUANA AS MEDICINE?

There is no level of marijuana use that is actually completely safe. . . . even the casual use of marijuana changes the brain. This new marijuana is beyond simple medical use for pain.

In 2015, The Journal of the American Medical Association published the preliminary conclusion of a compilation of 79 studies of the experiences of 6,000 patients who used marijuana for self-medication. The report stated: smoking pot was found to be of little use in relieving symptoms for many ailments.

Opponents decry marijuana’s dangers, the fact that it lacks FDA approval, and that legal drugs make marijuana unnecessary. They point out its addictiveness and that it can lead to harder drug use and mental problems; they also say it “interferes with fertility, impairs driving ability, and injures the lungs, immune system, and brain. They claim medical marijuana is a front for drug legalization and recreational use.” Furthermore, marijuana smoke can contain up to 70 percent more carcinogenic materials than tobacco smoke.

The proponents have turned it into some kind of major miracle drug while, at the same time, the scientific literature finds marijuana either dangerous or of extremely limited use, and often both.

 MARIJUANA HAPPENING

THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY SPEAKS

The American Psychiatric Association

Current evidence supports, at minimum, a strong association of cannabis use with the onset of psychiatric disorders. Medical treatment . . . should not be authorized by ballot initiatives.

The American Medical Association

In November 2013, the AMA retained its longstanding position that “cannabis is a dangerous drug and as such is a public health concern.”

The American Society of Addiction Medicine

The ASAM warns against marijuana’s adverse effects on mind and body, its increasing potency, and its influence in precipitating relapses in alcoholism and other drug dependencies.

The American Cancer Society

A 2013 position paper states that cancer patients may receive benefit from marijuana, which can “help alleviate the nausea, vomiting, wasting, and muscle spasms caused by chemotherapy in some patients.” The ACS supports more research for treatments for cancer and its side effects, but it does not advocate marijuana legalization.

The American Ophthalmological Society

Ophthalmologists believe marijuana has side effects that could endanger eye health, increasing risk for cancer and eye diseases.

The American Academy of Pediatrics

“For adolescents, marijuana can impair memory and concentration, interfering with learning, and is linked to lower odds of completing high school or obtaining a college degree. It can alter motor control, coordination and judgment, which may contribute to unintentional deaths and injuries. Regular use is also linked to psychological problems, poorer lung health, and a higher likelihood of drug dependence in adulthood.”

So, if marijuana is still illegal on the federal level and all these authorities oppose or caution about its legalization, why is the legalization movement growing so rapidly?

BIG MARIJUANA AND CULTURAL CHANGE

“The pro-legalization movement hasn’t come from a groundswell of the people. A great deal of its funding and fraud has been perpetrated by George Soros, billionaire, and then promoted by celebrities,” said John Walters, director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy under George W. Bush. “The truth is under attack, and it’s an absolutely dangerous direction for this country to be going in.”

THE NEW GOLD RUSH

Today the pot industry is viewed as the “new gold rush,” with “hundreds of tributary businesses.” Sales of marijuana grew 30% in 2016, and as long as acceptance continues to gain steam, the industry could hit $20.2 billion in North America within four years, according to a marijuana market research firm.

The legalization movement and industry are transforming our culture and institutions. Many believe a ban would be futile.

To date though, the DEA has maintained its “core priority” to oppose marijuana and prosecute “those who manufacture, distribute, or possess any illegal drugs, including marijuana.”

POPULAR ARGUMENTS FOR AND AGAINST

“It’s just an herb. It’s OK. In fact, it’s used for medical purposes; it’s not bad for you. It’s good for you.” And that’s the belief our kids are getting.

 MARIJUANA HAPPENINGFOR

Relaxation. It relaxes me, so it must be good.

AGAINST

Don’t count on it. Marijuana is not a sedative; it can excite and even stimulate hallucinations and psychosis. The present high levels make it unpredictable.

FOR

Just an herb. Marijuana is just a medicinal herb.

AGAINST

Bible has given us many instructions on how we are to live including being sober minded and avoiding drunkenness.

FOR

Legality. It’s okay for Christians in states with legalized pot.

 MARIJUANA HAPPENING

WHAT CAN CHRISTIANS DO?

Many Christians today are confused about marijuana. This may result from:

  • Lack of education
  • Peer pressure and moral laxity in churches and society
  • Confusing propaganda
  • Naiveté and/or ignorance of the devil’s wiles

There was a lot of apathy: an attitude of, “Well, it’s a law now, what can we do?”

Well, there’s a lot we can do. As Christians, we serve a God who cares and who listens to our prayers.

We can also help to educate those around us, in our homes, churches, and neighborhoods. And while it may seem like a hopeless case there are some encouraging signs. Furthermore, marijuana is still classified on the federal level as a Schedule I drug along with heroin, LSD, and ecstasy.

No one knows which way the nation will go. But which way will you go?

ADDICTION AND  DELIVERANCE

ADDICTION DELIVERANCE

One can be laden with all sorts of addiction. These include: alcohol, cigarettes, masturbation just to add a few. This addiction must be dealt with on a spiritual level. Casting out demons is the only way to get rid of these demons that drive the person to do these things in the first place. The demons will hook themselves to a person’s flesh and mind. Deliverance WILL be needed.

THE DELIVERANCE

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth”                                                    Philippians 2:10  The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me.                                                                                                                                                      Luke 4:18  “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”                                                                                                         James 4:7

These evil spirits are legalistic and they must be delivered in the Name of Jesus Christ by their function, otherwise the specific spirit would simply say “they are not talking to me” and they will stay.

WHO HAS THE AUTHORITY TO DELIVER EVIL INFLUENCES        A faithful Christian who is sinless: otherwise the evil spirits will just laugh at one’s sins.

The person being delivered does not have to be Christian. In fact, if you are a die-hard Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist or any other religion you are in for a big surprise. You will only know by trying it: you have every thing to gain and nothing to lose.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.                                                                                                                                       Luke 10:19   “The one who does what is sinful is of the devil … The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”      1 John 3:8

In the Name of Jesus Christ, you can take authority over all evil influences and break these influences over your life.  This is accomplished together with one other Christian who is of God or is very close to God.

HOW DO YOU KNOW A DELIVERANCE HAS TAKEN PLACE?There is a definite sense of peace, which envelopes over the one being delivered.  You definitely know something has happened.

Then comes Deliverance!!!

deliverance evil spirits

You may be wrapped up in a prickly blanket of sadness, you may be depressed, stressed or anxious, but it isn’t your fault.

You can help yourself more than anyone.  The evil influence on you can be defeated through Jesus, the Source of strength. “Every knee will bend before Me”  Romans 14:11    That includes all evil spirits influencing you.

To our friends who are Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist, Taoist, Mormon or Jehovah Witness:

To our knowledge, there is no one in your religious belief that can bind and deliver demonic spirits. There is a reason for this: demonic attacks are warded off in Jesus’ Name. It requires a bible oriented Christian to do the deliverance. You still can be delivered from your attacks, but it needs that all important Christian to command all evil spirits to go to Jesus Christ who will dispose of them according to His Will and to never return .

DELIVERANCE FROM ADDICTION ASSURED

HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

The person praying for deliverance must be free of sin otherwise the devil will just laugh.

Prayer of Deliverance

The short form is “In the name of Our Lord Jesus, I bind and deliver the evil spirits of … to go to the abyss.” This is said for each individual evil spirit.

The following prayer can be done together: the person to be delivered must also pray during  “OUR PART“:                                                      “Come, Holy Spirit, Come” or “Come, Lord Jesus, Come” silently.

Your Christian friend will command these spirits to go back where they came from (the abyss) to be soon replaced with the Love and Blessing of the Lord: Free in Jesus.

ADDICTION DELIVERANCE PRAYER

The void that that takes place brings a complete sense of peace, and you will now be free in Jesus.

(In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command all evil spirits influencing you now, as you read this, to be quiet and not to give you any evil thoughts. This I command in the Name of Jesus.)

If you don’t believe this, try it and see for yourself. You will definitely know in three minutes that a physical change has taken place.

The person delivered must now thank God for the spiritual healing every day until the total deliverance has taken place and to thank Him whenever he or she thinks about it. One must soak oneself in God’s love by reading the Bible: the short gospel of Luke for beginners and later the gospels of John.

JESUS IS GOD

The delivered person does not want to ever go back to the ever pervading influence  of evil spirits. It is very important to connect with a Bible-oriented church.

This same prayer of deliverance can be used to exhort evil influences on members of your family by name in the same manner with you as the intercessor and with your prayerful Christian. They should be made aware of your prayer as a gentle mention that you have prayed for them so they can become more sensitized to God’s Love.

This prayer of deliverance can be printed, quartered and kept in your wallet.

Christianity on a Table Napkin:

Jesus God

Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.

THE SOCIOPATH: Antisocial Personality Disorder

ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER: (ASPD)

sociopath prayer

From a Narcissistic point of view, this  information  can help those stuck in a narcissistic relationship to not only understand the signs but make wise decisions.

WHO ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?

It is the guy who makes you feel like you are the only person he ever needed or the woman who flaunts her looks to attract men into her web, that undying desire you fall victim too. The victim is left, a shadow of a person, unable to hear God or trust themselves.

THE PROBLEM

The problem is this personality disorder is rarely seen as spiritual. Once this condition is entered into the medical books and is given a name; it becomes the property of the secular world of medicine. Doctors or psychiatrists have no idea of how to treat such a malady other than to prescribe  medicine to slow everything down.

The case of the post traumatic stress disorder shares  the same problem. Twelve hundred troubled Canadian troops returned home from Afghanistan  and most servicing psychiatrist admit to poor success from all the trauma of killing. The Canadian government has set aside $500 million to solve the problem, which appears to be unsolvable. Enter the Spiritual Solution!

The sociopath is a guiltless, empty soul. They are always on the prowl for potential victims.  They are cold, conniving and above all, superficial.

SOCIOPATH PRAYER

Whatever the sociopath’s “god” is, that is what he or she will strive to extract by using YOU. If their “god” is money, they will focus their time and effort on those who have it.

SOCIOPATH PRAYERS

Sociopath’s know what you like to hear. They know your buttons and they will push your buttons if you push them. The narcissist pushes your buttons to humor or amuse themselves, but the sociopath seems to have more deliberate reasons for doing so. Sociopaths are usually allergic to work but always expect someone else to take care of their needs because they feel “entitled” to it.

SOCIOPATH PRAYERS

They seem to come and go in a frenzy. If you get wise to them, they won’t stick around for long. If you have managed to get rid of the Sociopath in your life, but at a later date they look you up, do NOT respond to them in any manner. You may think that they had changed and you give them another chance, but they rarely change (unless they are delivered from any evil influences).

SOCIOPATH PRAYERS

If you have a sociopath in your family, you must keep your distance from them and if you cannot, watch your back. You will suffer because of their “needs”. You will have drama, tears, no rest, and a mess on your hands. The sociopaths won’t take a moment of their time to listen to you speak. When you might get a word in, they instantly deny and blame you. They will blatantly lie in order to get this accomplished.

SOCIOPATH PRAYERS

A lot of sociopaths and narcissists like to play on Christians and even know verses from the Bible such as: “Where love is: patient, kind, etc” 1 Corinthians 13:-48.  You can try to lead them to Christ and they pretend and pray and then they go right back to lying and playing their vicious con games! “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”                           1 Timothy 5:8

They remind you of a roaring lion (the devil) in the Bible. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.”                 1 Peter 5:8

NARCISSISTS

Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder have grandiosity which soars to such heights that they are manipulative and easily angered, especially when they don’t receive the attention they consider their birthright.

TEN MILLION ANGELS

A  Testimony of Healing and Deliverance

Our Christian mission involved five missionaries who traveled on a 1550 km trip by car as far as Chisasabi located on the east coast of James Bay on the Grand Riviere. As a Catholic, this was the first time that I witnessed deliverance, healing and God’s total presence.

ten million angels Chisasibi

We were told from Cynthia Elias, another missionary, who has the gift of prophecy, that we would be given the protection of ten million ministering angels. Now you say, that is much too surreal to grasp. Yet, as the trip unfolded and all of our mission goals had been reached, I personally wondered whether we were still under angelic protection.

Does not God protect His beloved with His angels?

We stayed in Chisasabi for only two days during Pentecost and we knew no one. One native secretary, Mary Snowboy, at the building that housed the auditorium (“which became our church”) was the first to learn about our short visit. She immediately told her father to visit “the Christians” at our hotel.

Joseph Snowboy had a distorted grimace on his face when he knocked on our door to ask for prayers. The pastor, who has the gift of deliverance, “delivered” Joseph, which was climaxed by a sudden thrust backwards on the bed on which he was sitting. He emerged with the glow like an altar boy. This was my first exposure to deliverance.

ten million angels deliveranceWas this divine appointment not instrumental in beginning my own role for deliverance?

There were two healing evening sessions, which was advertised on the local radio station. The Cree community quickly volunteered their musical talents because we had a professional sounds system, which really made them sound great in the auditorium.

My favourite story was the goose story. Two month previous the Lord spoke to Cynthia Elias, and she was told to travel on May 19, 2010 to which the contact in Chisasbi replied that this was a bad date because it was goose-hunting time.ten million angels prophecy

Does not God speak orally to some of His missionaries?

The Lord told Cynthia that the geese would be plentiful, but only after we left.  On the day before we left, I saw hunters unload their decoys looking very dejected. On the day we left, there was a low-pressure area very close to Chisasabi, which would have caused the geese to fly low in order to see land under the clouds.

ten million angels geese Did God not arrange for the geese to come at a predetermined time?

Every native who came forward was healed and delivered from evil spirits. One lady had a pain in the area of her abdomen, and the pain would continue to drop down toward her uterus. She admitted to having an abortion. The pain was removed with a prayer of healing by the pastor!

ten million angels healingWas this divine appointment not the beginning of my own role for healing?

A request came from a deacon of the Anglican Church to come and see a boy who was visibly possessed. I told him to bring the boy to the auditorium where we were ministering.

When they arrived, the boy refused to enter by shouting and holding on to the door jams of the auditorium. The demons would not let him enter a sacred place, which had previously been anointed.

ten million angels anointing Was this not a demonstration of the power of anointing?

The boy was ministered in the hallway for 15 minutes, while being held by both parents with no success. In desperation, the pastor commanded the possessed spirit to tell his name in the name of Jesus Christ.

It was only at the end of the evening in the parking lot, he cried “Tupak forever”. (Tupak was a demonic rap dancer who had died prematurely.) Then his father took off his Tupak belt (which was protecting evil spirits), and with a prayer of deliverance he received a sense of peace after only a few minutes from a prayer of deliverance.  We learned afterwards that he returned to a normal young boy in the community.

Was this not evidence that the evil spirits must respond to a Christian in the name of Jesus Christ?

On one of the pit stops on our way back, an unusually large yellow butterfly flew among us while we were chatting alongside the van. It landed in our midst and stayed there for a very long instant as we gawked in amazement. At the next pit stop, another similar butterfly passed through the open front doors of our van: I had my answer.

ARE THERE CATHOLIC LAY MISSIONARIES?

A CATHOLIC LAY MISSIONARY

Catholics have a culture of obligation and it shows in their apathy. A select core must become Catholic Lay missionaries.

Why are exciting Catholic parishes so rare?

  1. No one says hello
  2. No one sings the hymns
  3. Lack of reverence in the Eucharistic celebration
  4. People are just taking their Communion and seem to exit before Mass has ended.

The overall attitude is that they need us to meet their Sunday Mass obligation. Where else can they go? We are accustomed to a generally mediocre experience of parish life.

“Neither do people pour new wine into old wine skins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wine skins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wine skins, and both are preserved.”                                                                                              Matthew 9:17

This description is like old wineskin which is dangerously dried up and also leaking badly. The wine, the energy and the power of the Good News cannot be contained, much less allowed to develop and ferment.

Catholic Lay Missionaries

Pop into your local Evangelical church. Look at how they do music, hospitality, preaching, small groups, child care, etc. Protestant churches are made up of large pastoral teams of 6-10 people. Most Catholic parishes consist of one or two priests, a secretary, and maybe a youth minister.

Catholic Lay Missionaries

What should we do?

  • The first thing is to remember to keep the first thing the first thing: the Holy Eucharist.
  • The core is to proclaim Jesus and invite people into relationship with Him.
  • We need to become team players.
  • We need to adopt a culture of invitation
  • An invitation to a religious event actually can turn one’s whole life around? But we get scared to invite, don’t we? We need to get over that.
  • We need to deliberately let our faith float to the surface of your life to put it out there that you are a believing, practicing, Catholic Christian.

LEADERS IN THE RENEWAL OF THE WORLD

Young people communicate with the young and lead them: youth with a minimum of academic seminarian training but with a grounding in spirituality and mysticism (with Gifts of the Holy Spirit). The result is an upcoming generation that, instead of being indifferent and cynical about religion would prove to be leaders in the renaissance that Mother Earth needs. “Wisdom (God)opens the mouths of those who can’t speak and puts clear words on the tongues of infants.”                                                                         Wisdom 10:21

This is actually happening in some churches. The  Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) is a university student movement dedicated to evangelization. We challenge students to live in the fullness of the Catholic faith with a strong emphasis on becoming leaders in the renewal of the world: “Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.”  Psalm 103:5

King of Thorn

KING OF TH0RN MISSIONARY

Senex and puer are Latin terms of “old man” and “youth”. The senex consolidates, grounds and disciplines, while the puer flashes with insight and thrives on fantasy and creativity, e.g. King of Thorn , a science fiction survivor drama.

The purer is a kind of “wanderlust” or an attitude of “don’t fence me in”. It is the creative personality. When the puer loses its balanced connection with the senex it becomes fanatical, and easily tempted toward narcissism.

In the religious setting, a tired, pessimistic, patriarchal, adultist  (senex) culture is projecting its own weariness and exhaustion onto spirituality and then we wonder why the youth (puer) are fading from this setting.

With a vibrant  healthy puer (youth), the senex (old man) can be rendered healthy and alive.

It is no wonder that St. Benedict, founder of the Order of the Benedictines, advised his monks to listen to the youngest members of the community first, since the Holy Spirit was nearest to them.

PROLONGED DEPENDENCE

Prolong dependence devours our youth.  A 1979 study found that the average age of maturity for urbanized technologically advanced nations of the world other than U.S. was 16 to 17 years old. For the United States it was 24 years of age. It took eight years longer to achieve the same level of functional adulthood or maturity in the United States.

In addition, this may be the first society in history in which children are distinctly worse off than adults. The self-interest of adults is moving center stage while the interests of the youth are shoved toward the wings.

The greatest deprivation of youth was not being challenged enough and not being given a vision or an adventure into which he or she could channel considerable talents.

The Evil Spirit of Defeatism

Do we truly believe that God wants to transform the world? Do we believe that God wants to use our parish to transform our neighborhood and city?

Nobody can go off to battle unless he is fully convinced of victory beforehand.

We must open up our minds to new possibilities. And let us beg God to use us in building up a better Church in the world.

THE ROLE OF CHOICE IN OUR LIVES

One of the Greatest Poems Ever Written                             The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Frost writes about a time when he encountered a fork in the path, during a stroll through a yellowing wood. He chose the path which he thought was the least worn,

This poem deals with the role that choice and free will play in our lives.  The choices we make often have a very significant impact on our lives: “I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference.”

We are told that both roads had been traveled “really about the same” most people tend to follow a rather predictable path, rendering many of their choices meaningless in the long-run.

How do we make ourselves mission-oriented?

Remember the Great Commission:And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved …  In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18.

Those who are born again with the Holy Spirit and who follow the Great Commission are given the gifts of the Holy Spirit like healing. God showers those missionaries with gifts in order that they may do His work.

Catholic lay missionaries

One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of vibrancy in Catholic parishes. Imagine those who decide to become Catholic Missionaries: to join those who are involved with missionary and healing. Imagine what they could contribute when they returned to their parish WITH THEIR NEW GIFTS.

Catholic lay missionaries

They influence the church to become less like a club for insiders; rather they become a school for beginners or missionaries. It will be a church where people will see fruit.

Catholic lay missionaries

Here are points a Christian lay missionary needs to commit to memory:

  1. God created us in love and desires relationship with us
  2. Through sin, our relationship with God was ruptured, and we had no means to atone for the rupture ourselves
  3. God in his mercy sent his Son into the world to save it, to atone for our sins, reconcile us with the Father and open up for us eternal life
  4. He accomplished this by his passion and death on the Cross
  5. We have the freedom to accept or reject the atonement he won for us. Do you want to receive this gift?

“As the deer longs for streams of water,

So my soul longs for you, O God.

My being thirsts for God, the living God.

When can I go and see the face of God?”              Psalm 42:1-2

YOUR TOOLS: PHYSICAL HEALING

The Gift of Healing will become stronger at every mission trip. God knows that you are not on your mission trip to wish people good tidings.  You need the tools to evangelize and give witness. Those who already have  gifts will transfer those gifts upon you.

“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong.”                                                                                 Romans 11:1

Healing is the most effective way to proclaim the Good News of Christ.  More Christians enter into a deeper spiritual life through healing than any other way.

Would this not be like a  Second Coming, an ushering in of a spiritual renaissance that can heal the most urgent pains in missions and  back home when you return? God does not cancel your gifts of healing just because you are back  home.

Healing by Faith

healing faith

The moment one realizes the healing promises pertain to them personally, then the faith is ready to act and the healing will come. One must stay in an attitude of believing. Through appropriation of faith, His healing promises, and patience one receives the healing.

With doubt and unbelief the powers of the healing of Christ are of non-effect. In other words, one cannot be healed with doubt, worry, concerns, and unbelief. Christ wants people to know that doubt leading to unbelief curtails the healing making the healing of non-effect.

Usually 80% of the healing takes place immediately. The complete healing will take place over a reasonable short time, but this requires homework: the one being healed must praise and thank God every day or whenever he or she thinks about it until the complete healing has taken place. The prayer below is invaluable because it demonstrates your faith:

Lord Jesus, I thank You and praise You for my healing.

This small prayer is to be said in faith a minimum of every day or whenever you think about it until the healing is complete.

JESUS WORKS MIRACLES

REAL FACE OF JESUS?

For so long, humanity has ached to see the Real Face of Jesus. We know Jesus is a person who desires a relationship with us.

The Jesus picture is matched to the Shroud of Turin.

FACE OF JESUS CHRISTFACE OF JESUS CHRISTmiracles Jesus

If you want to believe in miracles, there is overwhelming evidence from physicians, who witness “life after death” experiences. In 2014 a four year study was made of over 2000 patience, who had some kind of awareness before they were revived from what appeared to be death. Over 46% of the patients experienced seeing light, feeling at peace and having thoughts. Sixty-three of them (2%) had out of body experiences where they could describe in great detail what was happening around them. The scientists who conducted the survey more favorably believed in life without a physical body after death: rather than simply believing that this life is all there is.

the Exorcist

It is strange how many people quickly believe in evil spirits or demons. Remember the movie, the Exorcist.  That movie was based on a true story of a boy who was possessed. His situation is not unique. Sometimes the afflicted exhibit supernatural strength, speak in other languages and change their voice. These possessions point to the supernatural.

Sometimes it is the same evil spirits that holds people back, who continue to influence people “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”                                                       Ephesians 6:12

My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”                                                                      Philippians 4:19

So I come to Him in faith, believing His Word. He can work miracles within the boundaries of His Word anytime and anyplace He wants to.

BORN AGAIN

JESUS IN YOU

Many Christians make the claim that they are “born again”, yet they may be mistaken and they do not fully understand what this spiritual birth means. It really  is a life changing experience.

miracles Jesus

To be clear, you may have already been baptized by water. During Pentecost, there were many present that had been baptized by John, the Baptist. These same people were also baptized a second time but Baptized in the Spirit. It’s all about the SOUL.

JESUS IN YOU

For you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.”                                                       1 Peter 1:23 AMP

Jesus in you

If you have been born again, you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a joint heir with Him by the blood of Jesus. You may use the Name of Jesus, the Name at which every knee must bend. You need to develop your faith in that Name.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”                                                                                                                                       Philippians 2:10
