HIDDEN UNFORGIVENESS

UNFORGIVENESS
UNFORGIVENESS

Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to mind anyone whom you need to forgive. Respond to His prompting and specifically name each person. Remember, the ones that you find hardest to forgive are the ones you most need to forgive. You can use these words:

I forgive all who have harmed me or wronged me in the past. In particular, I forgive (name those who you need to forgive). It is done in heaven.

Forgiveness is a decision. It is not an emotion. Yet, psychologically, you may still find it difficult to forgive someone who really harmed you. This is when you take it upon yourself to pray a short prayer for that person including the above prayer every day for ten days. It will also be done in your mind.

Why is the important? God offers to forgive your ten million dollar debt to Him if you forgive a ten thousand dollar debt for someone is owed you. If you persist in holding on to this debt, God will hold onto yours. It becomes merely enlightened self-interest.

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”                                                                                                                                                  Mark 11:25

DEMAND FOR EXORCISM

DEMAND FOR EXORCISM

GROWING DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

Two of America’s most active exorcists say there is now a growing demand for their services as more unchurched Americans have been turning to them for help with demonic oppression, possession and other dark spiritual activity.

Father Gary Thomas, from The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist, and Father Vincent Lampert, in the series “Paranormal Witness” commented that the increase in exorcism was caused by:

  • an expanding spiritual void in the lives of Americans
  • the diminishing authority of the Church
  • the failure of the mental healthcare system

They say an overwhelming number of requests that they get from people seeking help are regularly diagnosed as actual manifestations of demonic attachment, infestation, vexation or full possession. Many of the requests for help are not coming from practicing Christians but the unchurched segment of the population. Many of those who seek help are desperate people who have had no success with psychology and psychiatry.

We’re gaining all sorts of knowledge but there’s still that emptiness within us that is being filled with addictive behavior such as drugs and pornography. There’s a line in the Old Testament that says when one grows in knowledge one also grows in despair. “For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.”                                                                                                                 Ecclesiastes 1: 18

The struggle against evil in society is becoming more of an emergency, and there is a direct cause: horror films, books, and television series which create temptation. Reading “occult books,” watching “occult movies,” can expose people to demonic possession. The most common occult activity is using an Ouija board to summon the dead.

DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

The demand for exorcists in the U.S. appears to be following a global trend some say has been inspired by the leadership of Pope Francis in acknowledging the presence of the devil. Pope Francis has warned in past speeches that Satanism is on the rise in the world, and has praised exorcists for combating “the devil’s works.”

More people are finding out about exorcism because of radio programs like “Light in the Darkness.” in the Philippines. Television programs depict exorcism such as Fox’s “The Exorcist”.

DEMAND FOR EXORCISMS

The few people, who are possessed, may lose consciousness and they may even speak strange languages. Very well-mannered people may begin to vomit and blaspheme. Some may have inordinate strength.

Most people are not possessed in this way, but they can be influenced by the devil in subtle ways. They feel really bad. There are sign posts:

UNBOUNDED!

Unbounded“Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”                                                                                   1 Peter 5:8

Sometimes temptation is not a struggle against personal weakness, but it is a strategic demonic attack to derail one’s faith. Yet, “Resist the devil and he will flee from youJames 4:7. When we are tempted, God will provide a way out: “And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”                                                                                                       1 Corinthians 10:13

Resisting temptation, repenting of sin, and renouncing the works of the devil and forgiving those who have harmed you account for 98% of all deliverance. Deliverance simple removes any obstacles so we may receive God’s blessing.

Unbounded

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 Yet, the area of evil influences goes unnoticed and unaddressed in the pursuit of God’s healing. Too many Christians are quickly turning to professional counselors when a problem arises. God wants us to be healed and He wants us to be blessed. His power of deliverance is much greater that that of a gifted counselor.

Over 95 % of most people have no physical manifestation of evil. Yet, most believers will admit that certain areas of their lives are not submitted to Christ. Ironically, many faithful Christians have lived with hidden sins, compulsions, and fear and it never occurred to them that they are in need of deliverance from evil spirits. Of course, there are those who think that they can solve the problem themselves. So, pride prevents those from receiving God’s forgiveness and mercy.

Fear and unforgiveness are the biggest obstacles to being set free. It is the most prominent entryway of the devil: we need to respond to trauma, abuse, and issues involving family and friends. Once an entryway is exposed from this evil world such as alcohol, drugs and pleasure seeking, taking authority is very simple.

During a prayer of deliverance one may be asked to renounce a specific spirit. For example, you would repeat after the deliverer: “I renounce the spirit of unforgiveness, hurt and rejection. I forgive you _____________ or I renounce the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness.

Then all healing happens when we repent or forgive and turn to God; it is then when we experience His love and acceptance. The interplay between healing and deliverance is integrated. Healing cannot be done unless there is total deliverance.

STAGES OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH

There are three different stages of spiritual growth.

In each of these stages, you grows a little.

  1. When you begin, you are trying to overcome sin and you go through purification. You try to take the sin out of your life. You will then move on to a stage where sin is put out of your life.
  2. To enter this stage, the dark night of senses will usually occur. When Jesus was taken away from the apostles, they went through their dark night experience.
  3. Finally, you have a sense of conscience and the Holy Spirit operates in you more. You will evolve into a loving union with God. Having perfect joy is the farthest that we can go in this world. Not many people make it this far.

SUFFERING JOY

Long-suffering is synonymous to patient and enduring.  We must be long-suffering when we see the weaknesses of our brothers and sisters in the faith.

It will be the patience and long suffering of the Holy Spirit that will be the only thing that will give you the ability to last the entire length of a storm cloud or trial. You must learn to ride and flow with the patience of the Holy Spirit in your daily life and walk with the Lord – and you will then be able to enter into a much more restful and peaceful state within your mind and emotions.

A spirit-filled person has joy on his heart. Joy and pleasure are two different things. Continue reading STAGES OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH

NEEDING ESSENTIAL DELIVERANCE

Deliverance EssentialTRYING TO MEET NEEDS IN THE WRONG PLACES

In Alcoholic Anonymous  they have a saying for insanity: trying to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. We  are often guilty of insane behavior.

First we must identify what our real needs are.  For example, caring for children can mask the need to care for ourselves. We can get stuck trying to meet false needs.

There are four essential needs

  • Affirmation: we need to be acknowledged and appreciated.
  • We need to express love: to hug and share.
  • We need to share our emotions and our experiences: what we think and what we feel.
  • We need to grow; we need space and opportunity to grow.

JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU

ESSENTIAL DELIVERANCE

I have Defeated the Devil.

“I love you.

Come and join Me in the desert. I am here in a large cave where I spend My days with the Father in prayer. I am getting ready to begin My public life to bring the Good News to the people. Here in the desert I was tempted by the devil three times.

NEEDING DELIVERANCE

You too My friends will be tempted by the evil one. He will inflate your pride to desire to lord it over people. Any gesture or word from them will make you feel resentment and anger. Continue reading NEEDING ESSENTIAL DELIVERANCE

DELIVERANCE FROM DEPRESSION

 DEPRESSION SOLVED BY DELIVERANCE

We are products of our past; we don’t have to be prisoners of it.

Deliverance from Depression: is it really a mental illness or is it a kind of evil spirit? The Christian is suppose to experience peace and joy, but the depressed person cannot. The depressed  persons have problems believing that God loves them; they withdraw from community support and they are in a continued state of anxiety. They are completely overcome by evil. This is not of God’s will. One of the symptoms of depression is one’s experience that no one has been able to help; that even God does not care.

There are times that depression is a demon.  And Saul’s servants said to him, “Behold now, an evil spirit from God is afflicting you.”                                                                                                                               1 Samuel 16:14-23

COMPLAINING IS SELF-PERPETUATING

You may find yourself complaining about a whole host of things: impoliteness, rejection and negligence. This spins you into an endless cycle of self-rejection. This leaves you feeling like you are the most misunderstood, rejected, neglected and despised person in the world. This complaining is self-perpetuating.

You are a complainer and you are hard to live with. Often the complaints lead to further self-rejection. You probably have tried very hard to heal yourself from your complaints and failed … and failed … and failed, until you realize that you can only be healed from Above. “With man this is impossible, with God, everything is possible.”                                                   Matthew 19:26            Henri Nouwen

DEPRESSION

The enemy’s number one area of attack is the mind. The demons will put negative or even perverse thoughts on your mind to make you believe that they are your thoughts. When people fall to complaining and fussing and feeling sorry for themselves, they lay themselves open to any danger of an invitation to evil spirits. Continue reading DELIVERANCE FROM DEPRESSION

MISSIONS REACHING THE WORLD

World Missions

World Missions

World missions had taken a beating after World War II. There was a great move for independence and nationalism. Missionaries, which represent Western culture, were attacked.  These Western missionaries were the first symbols of the West to go. When Western missionaries began leaving, they also started to pull out their financial support. Now 86 nations–with more than half of the world’s population –forbid or seriously restrict foreign missionaries.

Another reason for failure was that Western believers experienced worldliness, pride and unbelief. They used the humanist social gospel, where the emphasis is on the ”care of the whole man”. Humanists will not declare that the most important root cause of poverty is sin. This approach avoids the most important part of man: one’s spiritual life.

Missionary schools and hospitals have come and gone in the last seven generations precisely because they did not deal with this root cause. Social work is not enough: what is required is evangelism and church planting: someone has to stay behind and nurture the new believers into maturity.

In foreign missions, people are starving because they have been enslaved by sin. The battle against hunger and poverty is really a spiritual battle, not a physical or social one. The only effective weapon one can use is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

World Missions Africa

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD

Your relatives all tell you it is important to succeed. Yet, when we look at the poor of the world they believe that their poverty is the excuse they have for not succeeding. They are too busy looking for the next meal and they have no time for anything else. They are in a survival mode and there is a total absence of faith and hope: they have accepted their fate. They have no dream of a great future.

Many churches experience the same phenomena: they have no dreams. They may not be in a survivalist mode, but they are in a maintenance mode. There is total absence of hope of a bright future.

In Nehemia 2, we see that there was the same sense of lost hope in Jerusalem. The walls were in ruins as was many of their houses. Nehemia pointed to their pain. “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.”                                                                                     Nehemiah 2:17

Sometimes pain is useful: it points us to the fact that something is wrong and something has to be done. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work… I answered them by saying, “The God of heaven will give us success.” Nehemiah 2:18, 20: there was a need for a reawakening.

Today we are continually bombarded with bad news in all parts of the world including Europe and North America. This leaves us with a sense of giving up.

Yet when man and God come together, all is possible. God inspires the heart:”Yes, we can do it.” We are destined to do great things with God. We are powerful with God, because we are children of God. We simply must have faith in His miracles. Hearts will eventually change. They will see the glory of God through you.

World Missions

We read in Matthew 28 of the need to make disciples of all nations when Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew28: 18-20. This is what is commonly called “the Great Commission”, one of the most quoted passages of the New Testament.

There is a similar reference in the Old Testament: Daniel prophesies about this coming One, which is what Jesus is echoing here. In Daniel chapter 7 notice what is “given” to the “One like a Son of man”: ” I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.”                  Daniel 7:13 -14

The average North American Christian gives only 50 cents per week to global missions, which is known as the Great Commission. Missions are the primary task of the Church, yet it receives only one percent of all our finances.

Born into affluence, freedom and divine blessings, Western Christians should be the most thankful people on earth. Along with these privileges comes responsibility:  what should one do with these unearned favors?  The Gospel has only one response: share.

World missions

“I do not mean that there should be relief for others and pressure on you, but it is a question of a fair balance between your present abundance and their need, so that their abundance may be for your need in order that there may be a fair balance.Corinthians 8:13-14

God has not given us an abundance of blessings so that we can sit back and enjoy the luxuries of this world, or gorge ourselves on spiritual Cd’s and deeper- life conferences.

What does God really want?  He really wants us to realign our lifestyle so that many non-essentials of our life can be re-invested in the wealth of the Kingdom of God. Unfortunately, our Christian missions lack the total involvement from the support of the Body of Christ.

Have we lost touch with the Supernatural?

Jesus first healed the sins of the paralytic then He healed him. Continue reading MISSIONS REACHING THE WORLD

DELIVERANCE of DEPRESSING FEELINGS ASSURED

 Explaining Depressing Feelings

DEPRESSING FEELINGS
DEPRESSING FEELINGS

How do you explain depressing feelings? Have you ever felt that the world is full of deception – nothing and no one should be trusted. Such notions, arises from disillusionment, distrust of one’s fellow beings, unhappiness and eventually, despair. Life has suddenly and devastatingly become devoid of meaning; we arrive at a time of life-threatening crisis. Meaning and purpose for life cannot be found. Where and to whom can one turn? Who can one trust to find the right answers?
We seem to be ‘looking through a glass darkly’ — looking at what was going on around us as if we were a detached observer – being there and involved but also feeling that somehow we weren’t really present.
We cry more than any normal person should; we don’t care to eat, cook, or clean, we don’t care to see our friends. We can’t focus at work, or carry out our daily responsibilities at home. When we step back and think about it, we wonder, is there a point to being alive?
It’s a frightening thought when we realize we’ve just admitted to ourselves there could be no reason to be here. There is a difference between being sad, and being sad for no reason. A sadness deep in your bones that does not want to go away after time and effort. It’s not something anyone wants to readily admit.

We practice making lists on why our life is something to be envious of, but that doesn’t help. It makes one hate oneself more for being sad when one has it so good. Then you say to yourself that you are a failure…and it spirals from there. It’s awful. It’s exhausting. It’s black.

People brush you off by telling me you that you need, “exercise and a combination of certain vitamins,” or, “think of the starving children in Africa without clean water to drink.”

So you realize that you need help. You  struggle with showing any signs of weakness, but asking for help is not something you can easily do. You are not sure there is anything any one person could do or say; you suppose this is a dark valley ; you have to go at it alone. You can only hope you make it out the other side.

You are afraid that you will spend your  life chasing happiness. But at times, you wonder if you are just running.

UNGODLY SOUL TIES: DELIVERANCE

UNGODLY SOUL TIE

SOUL TIES

The souls of men and women knit together with negative repercussions. Manipulation and control by another person can create negative soul ties. For example, One can become tormented by thoughts of a former lover. Sexual partners can pass multitudes of spirits on through sex.  The souls of ex-lovers knit together, even though they no longer see each other.

Other negative soul ties include homosexual partners or anyone who played a dominant role in one’s life like a former bosses or a dominant parent. Witchcraft creates heavy negative soul ties as well.

“Do you not realize that everything that goes into a person from outside cannot defile, since it enters not the heart but the stomach and passes out into the latrine? (Thus he declared all foods clean.) But what comes out of a person, that is what defiles. From within people, from their hearts, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. All these evils come from within and they defile.”                                                                                             Mark 7:18-23

One lady had a demon of addiction to alcohol and drugs, she also had problems with men and love. When praying for her the Lord impressed upon us to tell her to get rid of the picture she had of Marilyn Monroe at the head of her bed. What problems (demons) did Marilyn Monroe have? – drugs, alcohol, and problems with men and love.

“And when Shechem …, prince of the country, saw her, he seized her, lay with her, and humbled, defiled, and disgraced her. But his soul longed for and clung to Dinah, daughter of Jacob, and he loved the girl and spoke comfortingly to her young heart’s wishes.” Genesis 34:2,3  Not only is it sin but you form an ungodly soul tie with that person. This is just one reason to teach your children not to have sex before marriage.

UNGODLY SOUL TIES

If a friend or person controls you then there is an ungodly soul tie – mothers with daughters, fathers with sons, bosses and employees with each other, just to name a few. Control is one of the key evidences that an ungodly soul tie has been formed.

One testimony we have heard is with a man that was a boy scout. When it came time to throw out the items he had kept from his youth as a scout he could not throw them away. The soul tie to the object was broken in Jesus’ Name and then the person was able to see where the control was. Any “collection” that you have and you feel that you could never get rid of is a clue that an ungodly soul tie has developed.

Remember that ungodly soul ties can be formed no matter how much you love the Lord and worship Him and serve Him.

This then is a job for spiritual deliverance “in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”                                                                                                                                              2 Corinthians 2:11

Sexual relationships outside of marriage…are also called “Soul Ties” and each one could be an entry point for demon spirits. The ties must be broken by confessing them as sin and choosing to be free from them. It would be best if you could do so by denouncing each one by name. The deliverance process involves canceling permission of evil spirits to be in our life. This prayer and renunciation will cancel consent that was granted through soul ties. The prayer can be something like this:

“Father, I confess the sin of sexual relations outside of marriage. I renounce that sinful activity in Jesus’ Name. I call back that part of me that was given to another, and I refuse that part of another that may have come to me. I denounce soul ties with and choose to be free in Jesus Christ’ Name. Amen

We can form “Godly” as well as “ungodly” soul ties with our family, friends, pastors, other Christians, churches, movie stars, and rock stars and the list goes on.

When a soul tie is formed, a person takes on the characteristics of the person or thing it has formed that tie with. We have found that people form ungodly soul ties with movie stars or rap singers like the demonic Tupac from having their pictures, books, tapes, etc.

A TRUE STORY

In Chisasabi, Quebec at James Bay, a young native boy was completely possessed. His mother and father were holding on to him with both arms.

A minister who attempted to deliver him from his tormenter (an evil spirit) had problems in deliverance. Finally, he said, in the name of Jesus, tell me your name. No answer! Then afterward at the end of the evening, the boy blurted out, “Tupac forever!”. The evil spirit in him had to obey Jesus’ command to reveal his name. The father realized that the boy wore a Tupac or 2pac belt. When the belt was taken away, deliverance was successful. The rap singer, Tupac, who died prematurely, had been using satanic lyrics. The minister used a prayer of deliverance:

“I command the ungodly holy spirits to leave now and never  return and go to the abyss in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord.”

The parents destroyed all the paraphernalia, which was kept in their child’s room or which was worn.
