HEALING NEEDS DELIVERANCE

 HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

There is a relationship between healing and the need for deliverance. Many are never healed because they have never received deliverance from the spirits that made them sick.

WHAT IS DELIVERANCE?

deliverance is

Deliverance is defined as a rescue from bondage or danger. We are told to “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.”                                                   1 Peter 5:8,9

All aspects of deliverance are available only through the person and work of Jesus Christ:” When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, ‘Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!’”                                                                              Luke 10:17

 DO YOU NEED DELIVERANCE?

To determine if you are in need of deliverance, ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Are you continually argumentative or contrary–usually on the verge of anger?
  2.  Are you violating, neglecting or causing pain in a relationship?
  3.  Are you practicing sin and can’t seem to stop?
  4. Do you see a pattern of issues in your family, whether disease, poverty, anger, divorce, sexual perversion or other issues?
  5. You are sick all the time and the doctors find nothing wrong. You could be dealing with a spirit of infirmity?
  6. Are you having “spiritual” encounters, including recurring  dreams or nightmares that you leave you fearful?
  7. Do you sometimes sense that the problem isn’t you, but rather something in you?
  8. Are you attracted  to the occult. , e.g. Ouija Boards, Seance, Fortune Telling, Horoscopes, Hypnosis etc, or Witchcraft?
  9. Have you experienced traumatic events that have impacted your life negatively?
  10.  Do you keep hitting the same wall or the same problems.

Is it imaginable that a man, who had been with Jesus as His disciple, should betray Him to the high priest and have Him arrested and tortured and killed. This disciple was Judas Iscariot.

He arranged everything to have Jesus arrested. He should have known that as God, Jesus knew everything that he was doing. This is why at the Last Supper, before Jesus consecrated the bread and wine, He announced that there was one present who would betray Him. None of the other Apostles knew about this but of course Judas knew because he had already started planning all this.

Judas is an example of a person who is possessed by the devil who leads him to betray his Saviour and Lord. In fact he had been a betrayer from the beginning because he used to steal money from the moneybag.

Healing DeliveranceDeliverance

How many of the following characteristics describe your life?

  • Insecurity? Yet God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind?                                                    Timothy 1:7
  • Inadequacy? Why should I fell like a failure when I am a conqueror in all things through Christ?                              Romans 8:37
  • Guilt? Why should I feel condemned when I am in Christ?                                                                                                                                    Romans 8:1
  • Worry? Yet why should I worry and fret when I can cast all my anxiety on Christ who cares for me?                                       1 Peter 5:7
  • Doubt? Why should I be confused when God is the author of peace and He gives me knowledge through His indwelling Spirit?                                                                                        1 Corinthians 14:33; 2:12
  • Inferiority? Why should I feel worthless when Christ became sin on my behalf, so that I might become the righteousness of God in Him?                                                                                          2 Corinthians 5:21

Perhaps the greatest service performed by trials and tribulations in our lives is to reveal wrong goals:                                                                               Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4   God’s goal for you is to mature in Christ.

When you align your goals and desires with God’s desires, you will rid your life from a lot of anger, anxiety and depression.

Anxiety signals an uncertain goal, which you have chosen. Depression signals an impossible goal. Anger signals a blocked goal.  We sometimes try to control others, believing that our own self-worth is dependent on other people. In contrast, a godly goal reflects God’s purpose for your life, which does not depend on any people or circumstance.

Emotions can be like a red light on the dashboard of your car indicating engine problems. To fix the problem, one should not bottle up your feelings too long, because it disrupts the harmony between you and God.

It is equally unwise to lash out and “honestly tell someone off” at the sacrifice of love. Jesus turned over the tables, not the money-changers. The wisest approach is to confide with at least one person with whom you can be emotionally honest.

In reality, we have very little control over our emotions, but we do have control over our thoughts. That is why it is so important to fill our minds with the Word of God, the Bible.

We need to see God’s perspective and respond accordingly. Add to this prayer: it is not a formula; it’s the language of your relationship with God: simply say “Lord, I love You; I believe in You; I trust You”.

MARRIAGE — FANNING THE FLAME

A LIFELONG ATTRACTION

Marriage is not only a lifelong attraction of two people to each other, but a call for two individuals to witness together to God’s love. The basis of marriage is not only mutual affection or feeling, or emotions and passions that we associate with love, but a vocation: being elected to build together a house for God in this world.

People should not be so wrapped up with each other, so that they don’t expect too much of each other, but instead they are able to play the game of love in freedom. Those who are most detached from life, those that have learned that there is nothing and nobody in this life to cling to, are really creative people. They are free to move away from the familiar, safe places and can keep moving forward to new, unexplored areas of life.

We

agree and Solemnly Declare that we will herewith unite as

One Instrument

Behold I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and thou shall make the hills as chaff.

Thou shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.                                    Isaiah 41:15, 16

Lord, your worthy to be praised, and we praise you

Lord, you’re worthy to bow down to and we bow down to you.

Lord, you’re worthy to be worshiped, and we worship you.

We praise you, we bow down to you; we worship you.

Lord, you’re worthy to be honored, and we honor you.

Lord, you’re worthy to believe in, and we believe in you.

Lord, you’re worthy to be trusted; we put our trust in you.

We honor you; we believe in you; we put our trust in you.

Lord, you’re worthy to be loved and we love you.

Lord, you’re worthy of our life; we give our life to you.

Lord, you’re worthy; Oh so worthy we give our all to you.

We love you; we live for you; we give our all for you.
