DO WE TRULY UNDERSTAND FAITH?
OH, YOU OF WEAK FAITH!
For many of us, there is a general misunderstanding of what faith is really all about.
Believers often ignore the fact that God, in His perfect leading, allows His people to go through periods of testing. We believers want iron with no flaws and wood with no cracks. We want gardens with no weeds and food which grows already cooked. But it is in the flaws of life, and our prevailing through them, that makes us strong in faith and steadfast in our trust in God.
We accept that we have received the gift of faith. It is more of a question of applying it. When we take our eyes off the Lord during hardships n our lives, our perspectives become blurred, and we begin to blame other people.
FORGETTING GOD’S HAND
Would you be guilty of a little cynicism sometimes? That is, do you sometimes believe, in a weak moment, that nothing is good and nothing will be good even with God’s help?
The Israelites during the time of Moses forgot all the miracles that God had already done for them. They chose not to consider seeking God, as we too sometimes forget how God has affected us in the past. Are you guilty of refusing to remember all the times God has intervened in your life?
How can you hear God’s voice for direction if you do not pray?
“If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”Exodus 15:26
God will either shield you from further suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
When we count on human resources, there is usually failure and disappointment. If you have fallen into the trap of struggling for holiness, purity of life or healing, then you must realize that it doesn’t come by way of a struggle. It comes from surrender. We need to surrender to God!
“A man’s wisdom gives him patience.” Proverbs 19:11 Perhaps what is lacking in your quest for surrender is actually patience. Simply know that God is in control and be patient with Him.
HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS PRAYER OF FAITH?
The Prayer of Faith:
“LORD JESUS, I PRAISE YOU AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HEALING.”
This small 12 word prayer is to be said whenever you think about it or a minimum of once a day until all your healing has taken place.
“But for you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.” Malachi 4:2
People who operate in mental assent read the Word and think they believe it. But when pressure comes, they don’t act on it. Do they lack amazing faith?
”I am a doer of the Word of God, and not just a hearer only”. James 1:22
It doesn’t matter how impossible something may be, when you’re hooked by faith to the supernatural, you’re hooked up to God and all things are possible in Him: “I am a believer and all things are possible to me!” Mark 9:23
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
FAITH NOT FEELING
Faith and feeling are two different things. Jesus did not say, “by your feelings you will be saved.”
FAITH IS A GIFT OF GOD.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
How is faith produced? It is part of the fruit of God’s Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 If we pray for more of God’s Holy Spirit, we should receive more faith.
There is another way to receive more faith: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17 The Word of God is the Holy Bible, which helps us to develop faith. We have also seen that we can receive faith by prayer and Bible study. When you put the Word first, all things will come to you… including more faith.
Now we come to the real reason for faith: healing. There are people out there that need someone with enough faith to deliver miracles and healing. These people also need faith for their healing. “In Jesus’ Name I lay hands on the sick and they recover.” Mark 16:18
So Jesus is still expecting us to do the things He did and finish what He started. He is waiting for us to rise up by the Spirit of God. “I believe in Jesus. I am sent by Him. I fulfill my destiny.” John 17:18
Vassula writes down the messages which she receives in a stately handwriting, quite distinct from her own. She hears, interiorly, a voice first, then , when she has to write down what she has heard, her writing changes. TLIG.org
THE REAL FAITH
“Nobody needs to advise Me; I need not one of these counselors, for their wisdom is shame to Me; do I not know how to measure you and know how to feed you? alas! Only a remnant of you is left who welcome My Spirit; have they understood how by having an antagonistic spirit they have failed Me? and, by having failed Me, failed to see The Truth?
Does the clay say to its fashioner, “what are you making?” Receive humbly what you get from the Spirit, accepting My Works and Its mysteries; I willed to augment My Signs in your days, so receive with joy what you get from the Spirit; rejoice and receive Me, be glad instead of turning your backs to Me; face Me and recognize Me! Do not suppress My Spirit, welcome Me instead! Alas for you who suppress My Spirit, alas for you blind guides, bloated with Vanity, you have made a desolation out of My Holy Church! seek The Truth by examining yourselves to make sure that you are in The Real Faith!” September 18, 1988
JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU
Have Faith in My Mercy.
“I love you.
There is only one thing that can separate us and that is sin. By committing sin, you reject Me and throw Me out of your life. You refuse to be My friend and to follow Me. The malice of sin stems from pride and the refusal to serve your God, who has created you and keeps you in being.
When, however, you have a change of heart and return on your knees with sorrow in your heart, Your Father will accept you back with open arms. His mercy is as deep as the ocean and He forgives you all your sins and forgets them. As you open your heart to Him, He returns and occupies the home He has formed in your heart.
There is greater joy in heaven over a sinner who repents than over 99 who do not need to repent.
It is a fact that all the people who live on earth are sinners. They have all sinned and all are in need of the grace of God.
I had to come on earth to suffer and die so that you could be free from your sins. The penalty of sin is death and I died a horrible death instead of you. I took your place on the cross. See how serious sin is that it caused Me such suffering and such a cruel death.
Repent, My brother and sister, of all your sins. Go to the sacrament I instituted for the forgiveness of sins. All sins that the priest forgives, they are forgiven.
Have faith in My mercy and in the mercy of the Father for all of you. I bless you all.”
The above messages came to Father Melvin Doucette:
Fr. Melvin Doucette was ordained to the priesthood on and joined the Missionaries of Africa for 29 years in Africa. In contemplative prayer every morning, Fr. Doucette receives by interior locution “messages from heaven” to share with the public.
HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?
- Christians don’t shout, “I am clean living!” They whisper “I was lost, but now I’m found and forgiven.”
- Christians don’t speak of this with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
- Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they are trying to be strong because they are really weak and need strength.
- Christians don’t brag of success, but they admit that they are failing and they need God to clean up the mess.
- Christians don’t claim to be perfect. Their flaws are far too visible but God believes they are worth it.
- Christians still feel the sting of pain and they have their share of headaches but they call upon His Name.
- Christians are not holier than thou. They are also simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable Grace.
Christianity on a Table Napkin:
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
|The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was so that He could suffer in the flesh, take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily. He is the Saviour – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His wings. If you are not yet received Jesus as your Saviour… SAY: Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Be Lord of my life! Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen|
God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will have begun. “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.” Luke 1: 49
Are we not like Barabbas justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”? And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18
You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to this Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading the Gospel according to Luke and then John: It is all about love and you will love it. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. Soaking yourself in the love of God defends you from attacks of the enemy.
