PRIESTS HAVE HEALING POWERS

PRIESTS HEALING

Healing was essential to the ministry of Jesus because healing offered indisputable evidence that He is the Christ of God: ”Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples … these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.”                                                                                                                                         John 21:30-31

Does Jesus still perform miracles today? Do you know someone who has been healed or whose life has been transformed by a relationship with Christ? Then you have seen a modern-day miracle of Jesus. You, too, can be an eyewitness to a miracle of Christ.

All ministers, priests or religious have healing powers. Most don’t have the faith that is needed to use it. There are  two provisos: our saintly priest or religious must be born again and he must be following Jesus’ Great Commission:  (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world … In My name they will drive out demons; … they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”                                                                                                                                       Mark 16:15,17,18

PRIESTS HEALING

This is what happened to Father Fernando Suarez, a Filipino Catholic priest, who now performs faith healing in the Philippines and elsewhere. His missionary ministry came to Ottawa Canada from the Philippines. All his associates from his order, the Companions of the Cross, were dumbfounded by his gift of healing. He was simply following the Great Commission even though it was acted out in reverse: missionary work from the Philippines to Canada.

Healing Priest

A HEALING STORY OF A PRIEST

Here is a story from a priest who did not believe he had the power until he was confronted by a very sick lady. She asked for healing. He blessed her and ran away.

Later that week he overheard from strangers that a lady with terminal cancer was miraculously healed by another priest. In a similar way, this priest had also first run away after he blessed the individual.

Our priest friend changed his mind on the matter. He began to understand that sometimes healing occurs at the most importune of times.

Others, like this lady, were moved by the Holy Spirit to challenge this faithless priest in order to get healed. She got healed. He got his faith back. Talk about a two for one affair.Priest healing

PREPARATION: “Daily” Prayer to the Holy Spirit:

Lord, I love You. Lord, I believe in You. Lord, I trust You.

I praise you and thank you for everything just the way it is.

I ask my dearest Holy Spirit to shower upon me all Your gifts and graces:

  • Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding
  • Strength and Courage
  • Discernment and Deliverance
  • Water *and Healing
  • Direction and Perception

Make me sensitive to any divine appointment that You have aligned for me today.

Bring on all Your ministering angels –all for Your glory.

Thank you, Lord.

* My personal mission is water and electricity (the HUG).

I AM WAITING FOR YOU TO GIVE ME THE ORDER.

Many ask and keep on asking and nothing ever happens. They lowered the net, but they haven’t caught anything yet.

Self-confidence may be  empty, but humility is fertile. “But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”                                                   Luke 5:5

Those who had not caught anything until then, now, at the Lord’s voice, they caught an enormous amount of fish. Afterwards, Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”                                                                                                                    Luke 5:10

PRIESTS HEALING

FAITH  is not FEELINGS.

Healing is a present promise of God that one appropriates by faith.

God, who can read hearts, knows intimately which of His children is best suited to be healers. God will tell them which person He wants them to go to (by divine appointment), but first they must be available.

Usually this gift of healing from God is given to those who do evangelical or missionary work and are born again. The missionary must be given the tools or gifts in order to do the necessary healing.

IF — THE BADGE OF DOUBT

A faith healer will sometimes make a simple mistake and say to the person being healed, “See if you can stoop over and bend your back”. “See if you can: that is doubt. The healing is done by faith and faith alone. No matter who you are, if you move in unbelief, you will stop the flow of God’s power.

Are there any physical signs to know you are being healed?

Father Francis MacNutt stated in his book Healing that “Some people experience the same electrical transfer of power, sometimes a like a gentle electric current, sometimes like a flow of warmth. Whatever it is, it is sometimes connected with healing. It is almost like a transfer of life”. (182)

The first way of appropriating faith is the laying on of hands by the faith healer. Immediately after prayers the healer will usually ask one to check out the healing by doing something that one was not able to do before.

DELIVERANCE

DELIVERANCE SPIRIT

If there are little sign of healing, a Prayer of Deliverance is needed in order to eliminate any obstacles.

An accompanying prayer of deliverance usually results with a feeling of a complete sense of peace. This gives assurance that God is working.

There are obstacles to healing that will need a prayer of deliverance, for example,

  • Individuals have refused to forgive others, and they are deeply ingrained in sin.
  • There may be childhood scars that need healing.

One must get to the root cause of the problem before the faith can be appropriated for healing. The Holy Spirit can show a person directly or indirectly through the lenses of others.

Deliverance does not imply possession of one’s faculties, an aspect of demonic possession. Christians are still liable to demonic influence .that comes about by an opening, e.g. entertaining ungodly or superstitious beliefs. Deliverance enables God to bring freedom from bondage, oppression, hardship, or domination by evil.

God in his wisdom has made deliverance a simple act of faith and will: “ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” Philippians 2:10. The SINLESS person praying for deliverance commands an evil spirit defined by its function to leave and never return without manifestation in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and go to the abyss. This command is repeated for every spirit as illustrated in the prayer below.

PRAYER DELIVERANCE

Usually 80% of the healing takes place immediately. The complete healing will take place over a reasonable short time, but this requires homework: the one being healed must praise and thank God every day or whenever he or she thinks about it until the complete healing has taken place. The prayer below is invaluable. It answers the question of how long will this healing last.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING:

To be said daily and whenever you think about it until all the healing is complete:

Lord, I thank You and I praise you for Your healing.

or a shorter 7 word Breathe Prayer:

Lord, I thank You and praise you.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

  • Christians don’t shout, “I am clean living!” They whisper “I was lost, but now I’m found and forgiven.”
  • Christians don’t speak of this with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
  • Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they are trying to be strong because they are really weak and need strength.
  • Christians don’t brag of success, but they admit that they are failing and they need God to clean up the mess.
  • Christians don’t claim to be perfect. Their flaws are far too visible but God believes they are worth it.
  • Christians still feel the sting of pain and they have their share of headaches but they call upon His Name.
  • Christians are not holier than thou. They are also simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable grace.

  Christianity on a Table Napkin:

AUTHENTIC LIFE

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.                                                                                                                                           Romans 10:9

The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was so that He could suffer in the flesh, take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily.
He is the Saviour – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21    It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His wings.
If you are not yet received Jesus as your Saviour… SAY: Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Be Lord of my life!  Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Saviour and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen

God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will have begun.  “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.”                                       Luke 1: 49

Are we not like Barabbas justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”?  And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD.

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.    Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to this Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading the Gospel according to John: It is all about love and you will love it. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. Soaking yourself in the love of God defends you from attacks of the enemy.

HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

ADDICTION GRACEADDICTION RECOVERY

Addiction Recovery can take months and for some many years involving medication. There is a short cut that God provides in the form of Grace, which is a mysterious interweaving of divine grace and human willingness.

We may yearn to let go and let God,” but it usually doesn’t happen until we have exhausted our own efforts.

addiction grace

LOTS OF ADDICTIONS

Most people are addicted to something, be it a substance or one’s own self-concept. Anything that steals life from us and causes us to make illogical or hasty decisions is our addiction: anything we cling to instead of God. The object of the addiction, whether it is drugs or alcohol or sex are not the primary issue. Rather, it is becoming obsessed with them: a false sense of love. It includes many other areas: chocolate, food, Facebook, power, fame, pornography, even driving too fast, etc.

The truth is, we were never meant to be completely satisfied. Saint Augustine states “You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.” We give all our time and energy to the addiction, instead of love. We were created for love but we seek it apart from the Creator. Addiction, then, displaces and supplants God’s love as the source and object of our deepest true desire.

Addiction is a spiritual disease, a disease of the soul, an illness resulting from this same longing, frustrated desire, and deep dissatisfaction – which is ironically the necessary beginning of any spiritual path.”HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

Having a personal relationship with God begins the moment we realize our need for Him, admit we are sinners, and in faith receive Jesus Christ as Savior. God, our heavenly Father, has always desired to be close to us, to have a relationship with us.

God gently and humbly waits for our invitation to enter into our emptiness, our place of deepest longing. “It is all about “God’s love (which) has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us”                                                                   Romans 5:5

ADDICTION GRACE
There have been books written about grace that imply that grace can come from any source. You cannot speak of the healing power of grace apart from Jesus, no matter what you read about New Age, Buddhism or Hinduism. It is only the grace of God through Jesus Christ that brings real transformation, despite the fact that they may continue to help your spirituality, which is not the real issue here.

THE “HOW-TO” STUFF

Just ask yourself to stop something, and if you can’t, you’ll be face to face with addiction. Then we use the Grace Toggle or Grace Switch. Grace is the most powerful force in the universe and it is where your hope lies. Grace is what draws us toward God.

Whenever we have an urge for a drink or a smoke you say this little prayer and the addictive feeling will fade away. Try this “Living Water of Grace and you will see and you will be surprised if it is from the heart.

Through Jesus Christ, a “faith healer” can heal you from any of your ailments including your addiction. You will also need to be delivered from all evil spirits influencing you, because addiction is tied to evil or to Satan.

ADDICTION GRACE

What is further required is an acknowledgement of your faith in God. It begins with this prayer of faith from the heart. Faith and healing are intertwined. The emphasis is “from the heart” otherwise it all becomes a worship disorder.

Lord Jesus, I love You! Lord Jesus, I believe in You!                    Lord Jesus,  I trust You!

GRACE ADDICTION

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING:

To be said daily and whenever you think about it until all the healing is complete:

Lord, I thank You and I praise you for Your healing.

or a shorter 7 word Breathe Prayer:

Lord, I thank You and praise you.

This prayer is to be said upon temptation and anytime you think about it until complete healing has taken place and at a very minimum at least once a day. Actually, in recovery, only hour by hour gratitude is strong enough to overcome all temptations.

addiction grace

POWER IN PRAISE

HEALING THE ADDICTIVE BRAIN

So praise becomes the medicine, We are to praise God for everything even for our addiction which may eventually cause us to free ourselves for a committed relationship to God.

Praise God for everything???  When you are affected by conflicts and inner confusion, you finally come to a deeper consciousness of God because of these intentional struggles.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”                                                                                                             Thessalonians 5:16-18

It is also an ongoing process in which one, and with grace, grows ever more deeply in love. It is an ongoing transition from compulsively trying to control one’s life toward a trusting and openness to God.

“Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip. For You, O God, have tested us; You have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; You laid burdens on our backs; You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet You have brought us out to a spacious place.” (freeing us from attachments).                                                                            Psalm 66:8-12

ADDICTION GRACE

TRUST IS THE BASIS OF LIFE.

Without trust, no human being can live. Trapeze artists offer a beautiful image of this. Fliers have to trust their catchers. They can do the most spectacular doubles, triples, or quadruples, but what finally makes their performance spectacular are the catchers who are there for them at the right time in the right place.

Much of our lives is flying. It is wonderful to fly in the air free as a bird, but when God isn’t there to catch us, all our flying comes to nothing. Let’s trust in the Great Catcher.                                                                Henri Nouwen

A ”faith healer” is one who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit (born again) and has received the Gift of Healing.  He or she is sinless and often are involved with missionary work. God knows that healing is an effective way that missionaries need to introduce or strengthen Christianity. Check out the following links:

I HAVE COME TO HEAL YOUR ILLNESS.

Ah, beloved ones, I have come to heal your sores, your wounds and your infirmities, all which were so savagely inflicted upon you in this darkness; no, beloved ones, your sores are not past healing, your injuries are curable, for I-Am-With-You and ever so near you; so come to Me with love, ask Me with love and you will receive, invoke Me with love and I shall hear you; I will raise you to My Bosom and cradle you, comforting you; hear My Cry of Love and Peace:                      May 1, 1989

Faith or Physician?

The justification for relying on faith healing over conventional medicine comes from a belief that turning to man is diametrically opposed to turning to God. In other words, you can either turn to God for help, or you can turn to man for help – but not both.

The following scripture gives the physician  credibility which is due to him or her, but the patient may not have witnessed the Miracles of God’s Healing.  This dilemma  causes a lot of stress for the patient.  Yet, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”                                                                                                                Psalm 118:8

Physician: Sirach or Ecclesiastics:

1  “Honor the physician with the honor due him, according to your need of him, the Lord created him;

2  For healing comes from the Most High, and he will receive a gift from the king.

3  The skill of the physician lifts up his head, and in the presence of great men he is admired.

4  The Lord created medicines from the earth, and a sensible man will not despise them.

5  Was not water made sweet with a tree in order that his power might be known?

6  And he gave skill to men that he might be glorified in his marvelous works.

7  By them he heals and takes away pain;

8   The pharmacist makes of them a compound. His works will never be finished; and from him health is upon the face of the earth.

9   My son, when you are sick do not be negligent, but pray to the Lord, and he will heal you.

10  Give up your faults and direct your hands aright, and cleanse your heart from all sin.

11  Offer a sweet-smelling sacrifice, and a memorial portion of fine flour, and pour oil on your offering, as much as you can afford.

12  Give the physician his place, for the Lord created him; let him not leave you, for there is need of him.

13 There is a time when success lies in the hands of physicians,

14  For they too will pray to the Lord that he should grant them success in diagnosis and in healing, for the sake of preserving life.

15  He who sins before his Maker, may he fall into the care of a physician.”                                                                                                                                                                                                      Sirach or Ecclesiastics 38: 1-15*

No medicine or ointment cured them. They were restored to health by your Word, O Lord, the word which heals all humanity.                                                                                                                                              Wisdom 16:12*

HEALING FROM GOD’S MERCY

healing wounds stripes

The Living God exercised compassion when He decided to bless all mankind by entering into the Everlasting (blood) covenant with Abraham. God in His mercy has decreed blessing for us by sending Christ to take the curse of disease and sickness from us and bring healing.

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”                                                                                  1 Peter 2:24

These are the exact words that a Divine Healer say when they lay hands on someone for healing: IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND BY HIS WOUNDS, YOU (NAME) ARE HEALED OF (AFFLICTION).  This is assured for any affliction even cancer and any addiction.  The spirit world knows no limitation: long distance healing is also assured.

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:“He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”                                                                                                                                              Matthew 8:17   That doesn’t necessarily mean that all enjoy that blessing. First, the blessing is for those who are in covenant with Him.

Jesus used the authority of the Father given to Christ over heaven and earth Matthew. 28:18, to “pray over” James 5:14 the sick and command the enemy to go. “Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it.”                                           John 14:14

MERCY HEALING

Some Christians pray for healing as if asking for a favor from God. In seeking healing we are not to ask God for a favor; instead, we are to glorify the Father by expecting the justice due us as a result of Christ’s awesome work for us… And we will receive it. Quit begging. Quit asking for a favor – expect God’s mercy.

ST. FAUSTINA

Words of Jesus to St. Faustina:I have opened My Heart as a living fountain of mercy. Let all souls draw life from it. Let them approach this sea of mercy with great trust. Sinners will attain justification, and the just will be confirmed in good“.                                      Diary 1520

Jesus Christ said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but those who are sick” Luke 5:31 Christ doesn’t give so much as a hint at disapproval of physicians.

God wants us to examine any health problem and make wise decisions, while looking to Him to lead and guide us in those decisions. That is what God expects us to do in all aspects of this life “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”.                                                                                              Proverbs 3:5-6

In any decision of any consequence we have to make, it should be our way of life and our habit to go to God for help and wisdom — and this applies when seeking medical attention or health advice for illness as well as in any other aspect of life.

When we submit ourselves to Christ, the heart is united with His heart, the will is merged in His will, the mind becomes one with His mind, the thoughts are brought into captivity to Him; we live His life. This is what it means to be “clothed with the garment of His righteousness”.                                                                                   Isaiah 61:10

Ten Scripture Verses On Healing

Healing Authority

Romans 10 tells us that faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of Christ. To help us believe God for healing ourselves, our friends and our families it helps to have a good grasp of the Scriptures concerning healing. The following Scriptures are condensed enough to be written on a folded bit of paper, carried around and re-read.

GOD'S HEALING

  1. If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.                                                                                                                  2 Chronicles 7:14
  2. O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.                                                                                                                                                     Psalms 30:2
  3.  Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His                           holy Name!                                                                                                                Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:                        Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,                  Who redeems your life from destruction,                                                              Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies.                                                                                                                                        Psalms 103:1-4
  4. He heals the broken-hearted And binds up their wounds.                                                                                                                                             Psalms 147: 3
  5. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.                                                                         Isaiah 53:5
  6. The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me: To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound.                                                                                                                         Isaiah 61:1
  7. And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.                                               Matthew 10:1
  8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.                                      Matthew 10:8
  9.  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God.                                                        Luke 17:15
  10. And He said to her, “…your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”                                                                                                                                     Luke 8:48

TEN MILLION ANGELS

A  Testimony of Healing and Deliverance

Our Christian mission involved five missionaries who traveled on a 1550 km trip by car as far as Chisasabi located on the east coast of James Bay on the Grand Riviere. As a Catholic, this was the first time that I witnessed deliverance, healing and God’s total presence.

ten million angels Chisasibi

We were told from Cynthia Elias, another missionary, who has the gift of prophecy, that we would be given the protection of ten million ministering angels. Now you say, that is much too surreal to grasp. Yet, as the trip unfolded and all of our mission goals had been reached, I personally wondered whether we were still under angelic protection.

Does not God protect His beloved with His angels?

We stayed in Chisasabi for only two days during Pentecost and we knew no one. One native secretary, Mary Snowboy, at the building that housed the auditorium (“which became our church”) was the first to learn about our short visit. She immediately told her father to visit “the Christians” at our hotel.

Joseph Snowboy had a distorted grimace on his face when he knocked on our door to ask for prayers. The pastor, who has the gift of deliverance, “delivered” Joseph, which was climaxed by a sudden thrust backwards on the bed on which he was sitting. He emerged with the glow like an altar boy. This was my first exposure to deliverance.

ten million angels deliveranceWas this divine appointment not instrumental in beginning my own role for deliverance?

There were two healing evening sessions, which was advertised on the local radio station. The Cree community quickly volunteered their musical talents because we had a professional sounds system, which really made them sound great in the auditorium.

My favourite story was the goose story. Two month previous the Lord spoke to Cynthia Elias, and she was told to travel on May 19, 2010 to which the contact in Chisasbi replied that this was a bad date because it was goose-hunting time.ten million angels prophecy

Does not God speak orally to some of His missionaries?

The Lord told Cynthia that the geese would be plentiful, but only after we left.  On the day before we left, I saw hunters unload their decoys looking very dejected. On the day we left, there was a low-pressure area very close to Chisasabi, which would have caused the geese to fly low in order to see land under the clouds.

ten million angels geese Did God not arrange for the geese to come at a predetermined time?

Every native who came forward was healed and delivered from evil spirits. One lady had a pain in the area of her abdomen, and the pain would continue to drop down toward her uterus. She admitted to having an abortion. The pain was removed with a prayer of healing by the pastor!

ten million angels healingWas this divine appointment not the beginning of my own role for healing?

A request came from a deacon of the Anglican Church to come and see a boy who was visibly possessed. I told him to bring the boy to the auditorium where we were ministering.

When they arrived, the boy refused to enter by shouting and holding on to the door jams of the auditorium. The demons would not let him enter a sacred place, which had previously been anointed.

ten million angels anointing Was this not a demonstration of the power of anointing?

The boy was ministered in the hallway for 15 minutes, while being held by both parents with no success. In desperation, the pastor commanded the possessed spirit to tell his name in the name of Jesus Christ.

It was only at the end of the evening in the parking lot, he cried “Tupak forever”. (Tupak was a demonic rap dancer who had died prematurely.) Then his father took off his Tupak belt (which was protecting evil spirits), and with a prayer of deliverance he received a sense of peace after only a few minutes from a prayer of deliverance.  We learned afterwards that he returned to a normal young boy in the community.

Was this not evidence that the evil spirits must respond to a Christian in the name of Jesus Christ?

On one of the pit stops on our way back, an unusually large yellow butterfly flew among us while we were chatting alongside the van. It landed in our midst and stayed there for a very long instant as we gawked in amazement. At the next pit stop, another similar butterfly passed through the open front doors of our van: I had my answer.

ARE THERE CATHOLIC LAY MISSIONARIES?

A CATHOLIC LAY MISSIONARY

Catholics have a culture of obligation and it shows in their apathy. A select core must become Catholic Lay missionaries.

Why are exciting Catholic parishes so rare?

  1. No one says hello
  2. No one sings the hymns
  3. Lack of reverence in the Eucharistic celebration
  4. People are just taking their Communion and seem to exit before Mass has ended.

The overall attitude is that they need us to meet their Sunday Mass obligation. Where else can they go? We are accustomed to a generally mediocre experience of parish life.

“Neither do people pour new wine into old wine skins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wine skins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wine skins, and both are preserved.”                                                                                              Matthew 9:17

This description is like old wineskin which is dangerously dried up and also leaking badly. The wine, the energy and the power of the Good News cannot be contained, much less allowed to develop and ferment.

Catholic Lay Missionaries

Pop into your local Evangelical church. Look at how they do music, hospitality, preaching, small groups, child care, etc. Protestant churches are made up of large pastoral teams of 6-10 people. Most Catholic parishes consist of one or two priests, a secretary, and maybe a youth minister.

Catholic Lay Missionaries

What should we do?

  • The first thing is to remember to keep the first thing the first thing: the Holy Eucharist.
  • The core is to proclaim Jesus and invite people into relationship with Him.
  • We need to become team players.
  • We need to adopt a culture of invitation
  • An invitation to a religious event actually can turn one’s whole life around? But we get scared to invite, don’t we? We need to get over that.
  • We need to deliberately let our faith float to the surface of your life to put it out there that you are a believing, practicing, Catholic Christian.

LEADERS IN THE RENEWAL OF THE WORLD

Young people communicate with the young and lead them: youth with a minimum of academic seminarian training but with a grounding in spirituality and mysticism (with Gifts of the Holy Spirit). The result is an upcoming generation that, instead of being indifferent and cynical about religion would prove to be leaders in the renaissance that Mother Earth needs. “Wisdom (God)opens the mouths of those who can’t speak and puts clear words on the tongues of infants.”                                                                         Wisdom 10:21

This is actually happening in some churches. The  Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) is a university student movement dedicated to evangelization. We challenge students to live in the fullness of the Catholic faith with a strong emphasis on becoming leaders in the renewal of the world: “Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.”  Psalm 103:5

King of Thorn

KING OF TH0RN MISSIONARY

Senex and puer are Latin terms of “old man” and “youth”. The senex consolidates, grounds and disciplines, while the puer flashes with insight and thrives on fantasy and creativity, e.g. King of Thorn , a science fiction survivor drama.

The purer is a kind of “wanderlust” or an attitude of “don’t fence me in”. It is the creative personality. When the puer loses its balanced connection with the senex it becomes fanatical, and easily tempted toward narcissism.

In the religious setting, a tired, pessimistic, patriarchal, adultist  (senex) culture is projecting its own weariness and exhaustion onto spirituality and then we wonder why the youth (puer) are fading from this setting.

With a vibrant  healthy puer (youth), the senex (old man) can be rendered healthy and alive.

It is no wonder that St. Benedict, founder of the Order of the Benedictines, advised his monks to listen to the youngest members of the community first, since the Holy Spirit was nearest to them.

PROLONGED DEPENDENCE

Prolong dependence devours our youth.  A 1979 study found that the average age of maturity for urbanized technologically advanced nations of the world other than U.S. was 16 to 17 years old. For the United States it was 24 years of age. It took eight years longer to achieve the same level of functional adulthood or maturity in the United States.

In addition, this may be the first society in history in which children are distinctly worse off than adults. The self-interest of adults is moving center stage while the interests of the youth are shoved toward the wings.

The greatest deprivation of youth was not being challenged enough and not being given a vision or an adventure into which he or she could channel considerable talents.

The Evil Spirit of Defeatism

Do we truly believe that God wants to transform the world? Do we believe that God wants to use our parish to transform our neighborhood and city?

Nobody can go off to battle unless he is fully convinced of victory beforehand.

We must open up our minds to new possibilities. And let us beg God to use us in building up a better Church in the world.

THE ROLE OF CHOICE IN OUR LIVES

One of the Greatest Poems Ever Written                             The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I –
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Frost writes about a time when he encountered a fork in the path, during a stroll through a yellowing wood. He chose the path which he thought was the least worn,

This poem deals with the role that choice and free will play in our lives.  The choices we make often have a very significant impact on our lives: “I took the one less traveled by, / And that has made all the difference.”

We are told that both roads had been traveled “really about the same” most people tend to follow a rather predictable path, rendering many of their choices meaningless in the long-run.

How do we make ourselves mission-oriented?

Remember the Great Commission:And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved …  In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:15-18.

Those who are born again with the Holy Spirit and who follow the Great Commission are given the gifts of the Holy Spirit like healing. God showers those missionaries with gifts in order that they may do His work.

Catholic lay missionaries

One of the biggest obstacles is the lack of vibrancy in Catholic parishes. Imagine those who decide to become Catholic Missionaries: to join those who are involved with missionary and healing. Imagine what they could contribute when they returned to their parish WITH THEIR NEW GIFTS.

Catholic lay missionaries

They influence the church to become less like a club for insiders; rather they become a school for beginners or missionaries. It will be a church where people will see fruit.

Catholic lay missionaries

Here are points a Christian lay missionary needs to commit to memory:

  1. God created us in love and desires relationship with us
  2. Through sin, our relationship with God was ruptured, and we had no means to atone for the rupture ourselves
  3. God in his mercy sent his Son into the world to save it, to atone for our sins, reconcile us with the Father and open up for us eternal life
  4. He accomplished this by his passion and death on the Cross
  5. We have the freedom to accept or reject the atonement he won for us. Do you want to receive this gift?

“As the deer longs for streams of water,

So my soul longs for you, O God.

My being thirsts for God, the living God.

When can I go and see the face of God?”              Psalm 42:1-2

YOUR TOOLS: PHYSICAL HEALING

The Gift of Healing will become stronger at every mission trip. God knows that you are not on your mission trip to wish people good tidings.  You need the tools to evangelize and give witness. Those who already have  gifts will transfer those gifts upon you.

“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong.”                                                                                 Romans 11:1

Healing is the most effective way to proclaim the Good News of Christ.  More Christians enter into a deeper spiritual life through healing than any other way.

Would this not be like a  Second Coming, an ushering in of a spiritual renaissance that can heal the most urgent pains in missions and  back home when you return? God does not cancel your gifts of healing just because you are back  home.

Healing by Faith

healing faith

The moment one realizes the healing promises pertain to them personally, then the faith is ready to act and the healing will come. One must stay in an attitude of believing. Through appropriation of faith, His healing promises, and patience one receives the healing.

With doubt and unbelief the powers of the healing of Christ are of non-effect. In other words, one cannot be healed with doubt, worry, concerns, and unbelief. Christ wants people to know that doubt leading to unbelief curtails the healing making the healing of non-effect.

Usually 80% of the healing takes place immediately. The complete healing will take place over a reasonable short time, but this requires homework: the one being healed must praise and thank God every day or whenever he or she thinks about it until the complete healing has taken place. The prayer below is invaluable because it demonstrates your faith:

Lord Jesus, I thank You and praise You for my healing.

This small prayer is to be said in faith a minimum of every day or whenever you think about it until the healing is complete.

HEALING AND PEACE

The words healing and peace are synonymous with each other. You cannot have one without the other. The measure of healing is measured by the degree of peace we are feeling.

Native Americans believe that in order to be mentally healthy, one’s mind, heart and spirit must be in alignment. This means that mind, heart and spirit are meant to be in balance. If all three are equally weighed, one can walk the path of life with far less stress.

Peace is defined as a state of tranquility, of calmness, and healing as a restoration to normalcy. With the ups and downs of relationships, it becomes increasingly difficult to walk the path of life stress-free. Fear, anger, and stress are all barriers to healing; indeed these states often create illness.

Relationship of Healing and Deliverance

“Then He appointed the twelve that they might be with Him, that He might send them out to preach and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons”                                 Mark 3:14-15

There is a relationship between healing and the need for deliverance. Many are never healed because they have never received deliverance from the spirits that made them sick.

Jesus accomplished two things: “Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons …” Mark 1: 34  Some people simply need healing from the diseases that have made them sick; others need deliverance from the spirits that have made them sick.

We are not saying that every disease is caused by a demon yet, it’s not that common to find illness that’s totally “natural” or one that’s totally “demonic”. There’s almost always an interaction between the two. There is a need for both natural healing and demonic healing.

“And these signs shall follow those who believe. In My Name they will cast out demons…”                                                                    Mark 16:17

“Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”                                                                                  Luke 10:19

REAL FACE OF JESUS?

For so long, humanity has ached to see the Real Face of Jesus. We know Jesus is a person who desires a relationship with us.

The Jesus picture is matched to the Shroud of Turin.

FACE OF JESUS CHRISTFACE OF JESUS CHRISTmiracles Jesus

If you want to believe in miracles, there is overwhelming evidence from physicians, who witness “life after death” experiences. In 2014 a four year study was made of over 2000 patience, who had some kind of awareness before they were revived from what appeared to be death. Over 46% of the patients experienced seeing light, feeling at peace and having thoughts. Sixty-three of them (2%) had out of body experiences where they could describe in great detail what was happening around them. The scientists who conducted the survey more favorably believed in life without a physical body after death: rather than simply believing that this life is all there is.

the Exorcist

It is strange how many people quickly believe in evil spirits or demons. Remember the movie, the Exorcist.  That movie was based on a true story of a boy who was possessed. His situation is not unique. Sometimes the afflicted exhibit supernatural strength, speak in other languages and change their voice. These possessions point to the supernatural.

Sometimes it is the same evil spirits that holds people back, who continue to influence people “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”                                                       Ephesians 6:12

My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”                                                                      Philippians 4:19

So I come to Him in faith, believing His Word. He can work miracles within the boundaries of His Word anytime and anyplace He wants to.

BORN AGAIN

Many Christians make the claim that they are “born again”, yet they may be mistaken and they do not fully understand what this spiritual birth means. It really  is a life changing experience.

To be clear, you may have already been baptized by water. During Pentecost, there were many present that had been baptized by John, the Baptist. These same people were also baptized a second time but Baptized in the Spirit. It’s all about the SOUL.

JESUS IN YOU

For you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.”                                                       1 Peter 1:23 AMP

Jesus in you

If you have been born again, you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. You are a joint heir with Him by the blood of Jesus. You may use the Name of Jesus, the Name at which every knee must bend. You need to develop your faith in that Name.

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”                                                                                                                                       Philippians 2:10

CAN GOD CURE CANCER?

CURING CANCER         CURING CANCER   MORE POWERFUL SPIRITUAL WORLD

Remember, the spiritual is incredibly more powerful and real than the physical. “What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal”.                                                                                         2 Corinthians 4:18

The Word of God (the spiritual) is infinitely more powerful than the cancer (the physical). Isaiah 53:5 says, “He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed”. We are healed. We ARE HEALED! Now cancer has to contend with that. It is up against God’s Word. Now it is the cancer vs. The Word of God. Who do you think will win?

Do you believe God can HEAL cancer?

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all my being, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. He pardons all your iniquities; He heals all your ills. He redeems your life from destruction; He crowns you with kindness and compassion.”                                                                                     Psalms 103:1-4

Do you believe that God is capable of healing ?

Here’s how it works. It starts with prayer and a great deal of faith that God can heal anything. Then comes a divine appointment.  God can heal directly but He most frequently does it through His disciples by the laying of hands (invoking the Holy Spirit).

There is nothing like a true story to show how God works:

Very recently (August 2017) a friend recommended to a cancer patient who had fourth stage cancer (the worst)to the author; he visit the author to pray for healing and deliverance. The patient was asked to pray silently along with the author:”Come Lord Jesus, Come”                                                                      After tests, the doctors were astounded and declared him cancer free. The doctors wondered why: “it was a miracle”.

The story continues. Word travels quickly and another fourth stage cancer patient made an appointment to  visit with his wife and friends. The author started by strengthening the victim’s faith. He was asked if there were any present pains. The victim identified a very sore neck which was immediately healed after prayers of healing. A prayer of deliverance was said for all present and each of the four visitors felt a sense of peace afterwards. (The arthritis of the wife was also healed immediately.)

The author gave each of the visitors a prayer of faith to say often until all the healing has taken place: Lord Jesus, I praise You and I thank You for Your healing. Thank you, Jesus.”

The author explained that although this had been a divine appointment, the most important part in this healing was PRAYER. As it turned out, each of the visitors had already been praying.

They wanted to know what they could do to show their appreciation: they were told to support a charity to fulfill what they believe to be God’s Will for them.

CANCER HEALED

IF CANCER CAN BE HEALED BY GOD

Imagine the difference in these statistics: Almost one in every two Canadians is expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and one in four Canadians will die from the disease, a new report by the Canadian Cancer Society predicts. Currently, every year we’re seeing an increase in the number of cancer cases.  About 90 per cent of all the cancers that we expect to be diagnosed in 2017 will be among Canadians 50 years of age and older.

Still, four cancers — prostate, breast, lung and colon-rectal — continue to top the list of the most common malignancies, which together are expected to account for more than half the cancer diagnoses in 2017.

Survival rates for some cancers have improved dramatically over time: overall, 60 per cent of Canadians diagnosed and treated for cancer will survive five years or longer. These statistics probably hold true for United States.

A groundbreaking 14-year study was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in December 2004 called “The Contribution of Cytotoxic Chemotherapy to 5-year Survival in Adult Malignancies”Study Results:
“The overall contribution of curative and adjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy to 5-year survival in adults was estimated to be 2.3% in Australia and 2.1 % in The USA”

GOD’S POWER

“Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick and the Lord will raise him up—and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”                                                                       James 5:14, 15

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ appeared to this simple nun, Sister Faustina, bringing a wonderful message of Mercy:Healing St. Faustina

“In whatever state the soul may be, it ought to pray … for every single grace comes to the soul through prayer.”                                                                                                       Diary 146   From the Diary of St. Faustina

“I see that God never tries us beyond what we are able to suffer. Oh, I fear nothing; if God sends such great suffering to a soul. He upholds it with an even greater grace, although we are not aware of it. One act of trust at such moments gives greater glory to God than whole hours passed in prayer filled with consolations.”                                                                                                                                          Diary 1182

“Ask and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”                                                                                     Matthew 7:7

The Lord’s statement couldn’t be any clearer – if we ask we will receive. Note that there is no disclaimer that cancer or “impossible” situations are not included. While there is no guarantee that we’ll always receive a physical healing, we can rest assured that our prayers will be answered in the best possible way “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? … Matthew 7:9-11). We will receive EXACTLY what we need!

Some have observed that their illness was a “wake-up call”. Some have said that their lives only really began when they were diagnosed. The experience of illness can be a call for a genuinely religious life: the essence of which is a return to God It is the purpose of our lives. In the end our healing becomes a return to love.

No matter how hopeless a situation looks, ALWAYS pray about it! If you don’t ask, you may not receive! God’s power is greater than any problem we could encounter. If you’re having difficulty believing that the Lord can work miracles in your life, say “I believe; help my unbelief!”                                                                                                       Mark 9:24

Good health can be defined as inner peace. A spiritual, holistic notion of healing includes treatment not only of the body but of the mind, and spirit. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit.  A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment.

  PRAYER OF HEALING

The following prayer can be used by a Christian in your church without sin, who has a sense that he or she may have  the gift of healing:

  • May God renew and restore all cells, all blood, all sinew & bones and all organs as new before any problem existed.
  • In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I rebuke and bind the evil spirit of ….(e.g. cancer) and I command it to leave you now, without manifestation or harm to you or me, to never return, and I send it to Jesus Christ, who will dispose of it according to His Will.
  •  In the name of Jesus of Nazareth,  and by Your stripes, Lord Jesus, ___________  you are healed! Say: Thank you, Jesus

The person being healed  and others involved with the healing must also pray silently:                                                                                                                           “Come, Holy Spirit, Come” or “Come, Lord Jesus, Come” .

PRAYER OF DELIVERANCE

What Satan intends for your harm, God can turn around for your good!  It starts with a Prayer of Deliverance:  a prayer in Jesus’ name against any form of evil that may be attacking them spiritually:

(In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I command all evil spirits influencing you now, to be quiet and not to give you any evil thoughts.)

deliverance evil spirits

This prayer is used by someone who either has a gift of deliverance or someone who is very spiritual and without sin who may not even know that they have the power of deliverance. (The devil only laughs at the person who is sinful and attempts deliverance). Be advised that no one should be touching the person being delivered.

deliverance PRAYER PHYSICAL HEALING

The void that that takes place brings a complete sense of peace, and you will now be free in Jesus.  If you don’t believe this, try it and see for yourselfYou will definitely know in a few  minutes that a physical change has taken place. PRAYER OF DELIVERANCE

There is a following prayer of thanks. After deliverance, you must pray a simple prayer every day until you are free: “I thank and praise You, Lord, for Your healing!” which is a reflection of your faith, which is a very important ingredient. You must have faith that God is with you every step of the way. Faith means that you’re thanking God before it happens.

Be patient and eventually you will see progress. God’s strength allows you to move on in your desired direction.

PHYSICAL HEALING

Healing is often overlooked today. Our culture has little place for such experiences. People do not understand the concept of a “divine breakthrough” into our little world.

Jesus died on the cross and everything changed: our sins were forgiven and He bore our diseases, so that in His death, we can have a life! He did it out of love, and that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son”.  John 3:16 This happened 2000 years ago, but it’s a “done deal”.  It was because of Jesus’ wounds that we are healed. “By His stripes, we are healed…”                         Isaiah 53:4-5

When you go to a doctor for healing, you don’t try to justify our asking for help, e.g. Help me because I can be a better parent, a better worker, a better spouse. Yet this is what many people do when they pray for healing from God: they even try to bargain with God: I will do this if only you heal me. These people have a fearful relationship with God.

The real truth is that God is Love and He wants to see you healed without your justification. Healing is an ordinary, not an extraordinary sign of God’s mercy and compassion. “But in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”                                                                                 Philippians 4:6

Jesus cured not just to prove He was God, but because He was abounding in love: God is more than willing to save and heal all who come  to Him with open and contrite hearts. Healing can be a test of faith, but also a natural response to God’s generous love.  The minister of healing, who is nothing more than a human channel, says the prayer of healing and then steps aside.

God works through those practicing medicine: the doctor, the counselor and the psychiatrist are all ministers of healing: “Then give the doctor his place lest he leave; for you need him too. There are times that give him an advantage, and he too beseeches God that his diagnosis may be correct and his treatment bring about a cure.”                                                                                                       Sirach 38:12-14

We all our born with a sinful nature.  This sometimes gives the devil a foot hold into our lives. We allow this to become a foothold to the enemy in our life. People need to be delivered from this hold of Satan.

There is a relationship between healing and the need for deliverance. Many are never healed because they have never received deliverance from the spirits that made them sick. The sins of the paralytic was the cause of the illness, so the first thing that Jesus did was to forgive his sins.                                            Matthew 9:2

Jesus accomplished two things: “Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons …” Mark 1: 34.  Some people simply need healing from the diseases that have made them sick; others need deliverance from the spirits that have made them sick.

We are not saying that every disease is caused by a demon yet, it’s not that common to find illness that’s only totally “natural” or one that’s only totally “demonic”. There’s almost always an interaction between the two. There is a need for both natural healing and demonic healing. Those who were possessed by evil spirits can be healed.  Jesus, through one who has the gift of deliverance, can chase all these evil spirits away from them. “They cast out many devils, and anointed many sick people with oil and cured them.”                                                                                                                                      Mark 6:13

Several of the spirits sometimes surface and block the prayer of deliverance, e.g. mockery, dumbness, confusion, so the minister of deliverance prays: “In the name of Jesus, I command all evil spirits residing in you to be quiet and not give you any evil thoughts.”  In fact, this prayer should be said audibly even before approaching a person who needs deliverance. (Evil spirits cannot hear your thoughts.) This person need not hear this prayer.

Anything left empty by the departure of the demons should be filled by the presence of Jesus. There should be a prayer immediately after the deliverance to fill the person with God’s love and grace.

Often there is a sense of freedom, of joy associated with the deliverance and healing: it’s like the lifting of a weight or pain.

Ideally, the person should then become part of a Christian community support for the same reason that alcoholics are asked to become members of Alcoholic Anonymous. One’s new Christian friends will help one put one’s life into balance.

A WEAKENED FAITH

Telling another person of a healing is apt to disturb the brooding inner spirit of man.  There is always a great deal of cynicism: ” I wonder how long this is going to last”.  These feelings of uncertainty weakens faith.  Why did Jesus say to the leper, “tell no man” after his healing?  It was to protect the one being healed. To testify too soon concerning a healing causes problems: it meets with cynicism from others, which weakens one’s faith and creates a feeling of uncertainty.

To our friends who are Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Atheist, Taoist, Mormon and Jehovah Witness:

To our knowledge, there is no one in your religious belief that can bind and deliver demonic spirits. There is a reason for this: demonic attacks are warded off in Jesus’ Name. It requires a bible oriented Christian to do the deliverance. You still can be delivered from your attacks, but it needs that all important Christian to command all evil spirits to go to Jesus Christ who will dispose of them according to His Will and to never return . This is also true of HEALING!

AMAZING PRAYER

WE CAN LET GOD TOUCH OTHERS

Prayer is also part of social involvement. One should always be embedded in the life of the community.  Prayer develops a compassionate heart.  The joy that compassion brings is one of the best kept secrets of humanity. To pray for others is to make them part of ourselves and our concerns.  Prayer allows us to give up all that divides us from others so that we can let God touch them in us.

We learn that we are not the boss of our life, but that God wants to lead our life into green pastures. We learn to discover that God plays a role in our lives, an all-determining role, for the salvation and healing of ourselves and the world.

Prayer without action is meaningless.  Vocation means “to call”. God is always active in our lives. He always calls; he always asks us to take up our crosses and follow Him.

power prayer jeremiah

Can anyone hide themselves in secret places so I shall not see them?  Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?”declares the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.”                                                                                       Jeremiah 23:23,24

Simply get to know God by contemplating His attributes every day. When you call out to Him,       you won’t get voice mail.

Pray and Persevere in Prayer

“There are times in life when the soul finds comfort only in profound prayer. Would that souls knew how to persevere in prayer at such times. This is very important.”                      Diary 860

It was only Saint Faustina to whom Jesus gave explicit instructions to write His words regarding the new devotion that He wished to establish in the world. This diary is an actual record of Jesus’ words to St. Faustina.

Diary St. Faustina prayer

Let the soul be aware that, in order to pray and persevere in prayer, one must arm oneself with patience and cope bravely with exterior and interior difficulties. The interior difficulties are discouragement, dryness, heaviness of spirit and temptations. The exterior difficulties are human respect and time; one must observe the time set apart for prayer.                                                                                                                  Diary 147

PRAYING FOR THE LOST

“Night and day we pray beyond measure to see you in person and to remedy the deficiencies of your faith. ” 1Thessalonians 3:10

Amazing prayer

Knowing how to pray with skill can change the atmosphere. There are people who pray for their brother for 20 to 30 years without results. You will say that he doesn’t listen to you, but God knows who your brother will listen to, and He will send that person to talk to your brother.

Why Pray?

If you have been praying for your brother, there is nothing wrong with him except the devil.

“The god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ”                                          2 Corinthians 4:4

Now you know the problem isn’t your brother it’s the devil! You must bind the devil out of your brother’s way.  This can be  a long distance prayer over the phone. The Spiritual World has no human boundaries.

DO YOU NEED FAITH FOR HEALING?

FAITH  is not FEELINGS.

Healing is a present promise of God that one appropriates by faith.

HEALING FAITH

Spirituality is the personal quest for understanding answers to ultimate questions about life, about meaning, and about relationship to the sacred or transcendent, which may (or may not) lead to or arise to religion.

These promises are of God, the promises are clearly stated in the Bible to all people that Christ will heal everyone who believes: “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”                                                                                                                                          James 5:15

Moreover, the promises made by God cannot be broken. It is the faith that one has to receive the healing that is promised in the Word: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed”. Isaiah: 53:5 Instead of walking by natural human faith, you walk by Bible faith”. (MacNutt 103)

Christian Bible

Actually, the Bible is not just a book—it’s 66 books. The Bible was written over a period of roughly 2,000 years by 40 different authors from three continents, who wrote in three different languages.  The Christian church has not invented the claim that the Bible is the Word of God; it is the claim of the Bible itself. We find in the Bible the claim that the words and deeds it records come from the living God. In hundreds of passages, in both the Old and New Testaments, the Bible plainly declares to be the very Word of the living God. The Bible declares some 3,800 times, “God said,” or “Thus says the Lord.” For example, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”                                                                                                                                       Matthew 24:35.
