…Could you not keep watch for one hour?”  Mark 14:37

Do you have problems with commitment to prayer? How about short five minutes segments in an hour? You can also just pray at a few spokes of the wheel.

It’s wonderful to start the day with the Lord, praying in the early hours before work begins. Having a set time and place for prayer has positive benefits, whether it is morning, noon or night.

Consider the “Miracle Hour” as an intensely loving “power encounter” with your heavenly Father. The more you can personalize them, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you spontaneously in your own words, the more meaningful it will be.

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42:1-2

Let us pray!

People of praise are people of faith. Praise draws us into the abundant life in which God created us to live. When we praise God we acknowledge His supremacy in our lives. Praise draws us into His presence even when we don’t feel like it.

Let us praise God in all things. For the next five minutes just forget about yourself and concentrate on God. Between each segment you may wish to say the Our Father prayer or pray in the charismatic gift of tongues.

  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the King of kings.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the King of creation.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the King of the universe.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Almighty.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are Christ, the King.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Lamb of God.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Way for our life.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are only Truth.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Wonderful Counselor.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are Prince of Peace.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Light of the World.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Redeemer.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Messiah.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Anointed One.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Good Shepherd.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Lord of hosts.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Savior of the World.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Bread of Life.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Font of all holiness.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Living Water.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the True Vine.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Deliverer.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Salvation.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Righteousness.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Wisdom.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Sanctification.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Justification.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Door.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the great I AM.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the great High Priest.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Cornerstone.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Joy.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are our Covenant.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Most High God.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are my Defense.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the (my) Bridegroom.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are my Provider.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Resurrection and the Life.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are the Beginning and the End.
  • Praise You, Jesus; You are worthy of all praise.

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord
and extol him with music and song.Psalm 95-102:1, 2

Anointed music has a great power to open our spirits. You may also wish to hum in tongues if you are released in that gift. There are a host of Christ-centered songs: the eight-fold Alleluia, “I love you, Lord”, etc.

(Our Father)

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”  Ephesians 6:12

At times in our lives we may have inadvertently opened our spirit to some negative spiritual forces. It’s time to close those doors. It is important when we pray to place ourselves specifically under the protection of the Lord’s protection and take authority over any powers of evil.

I place myself now under the cross of Jesus Christ and cover myself with the Precious Blood of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus Christ I seal this room and all members of my family, relatives and associates in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

I renounce all openness to the occult, all false worship and all benefits from magical arts. I renounce every power apart from God and every form of worship that does not offer true honor to Jesus Christ. I specifically renounce ___________________(for example, astrology, fortune telling, crystals, tarot cards, Ouija boards and any occult games.)

In the name of Jesus Christ, I break any curses that may be coming against me or my family, and stop the transmission of those curses through my ancestry.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind you spirit of _______________ (anger, unforgiveness, fear, insecurity, illness trauma.) Lord Jesus, fill me with Your love to replace the fear; fill me with strength to replace the weakness, fill me with your health to replace the illness.

Loving Father, let the cleansing, healing waters of my baptism flow back through the generations to purify my family line of contamination.

(Our Father)

Our healing and empowerment begins when we surrender to Jesus. People generally find that He is the strongest in them when they surrender, and are in a position of weakness before Him. The more we open up, yield, and simply allow ourselves to be drawn deeply into the Lord’s love, the more our lives will come into right order. Pray from your heart. Pray it in your words, spontaneously, not as a ritual, but with an opening of yourself to God.  “… may Your will be done” Matthew 26:42

Loving Father, I surrender to You today with all my heart and soul. Please come into my heart in a deeper way. Jesus You are Lord of my whole life. I believe in You and receive You as my Lord and Savior.

Lord, I surrender my entire life to You, the past, the present and the future. In sickness and in health, in life and in death, I belong to You. I surrender my emotions, my fears, my insecurities, my sexuality. I especially surrender______________,________________.

(Our Father)

Come Holy Spirit, and baptize me with the fire of Your love. I have surrendered to the best of my ability, and now I want to be filled with Your Spirit. I yield now to receive Your sanctification gifts of Isaiah 11:2: wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.

I yield and ask You to release Your manifestation gifts of: faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues 1 Corinthians 12.

I need them to witness to a hurting world. Only in Your power, guided by Your Spirit, can my life be fruitful. Holy Spirit come. I want it all, wrapped in “the greatest of these: love” 1 Corinthians 13:13. Thank you for reminding me that the love of Jesus is always there, filling in the gap between the love I needed and the love I received.

I want every purpose God has for my life to be fulfilled, and I need You, mighty Spirit of God, to bring that purpose to fulfillment.

Thank you for washing and cleansing any wounds and scars from the past that still have the power to dominate my thoughts and suppress my physical and emotional freedom.

Thank You for coming and drawing out the uncried tears, the unfinished grieving, the pain of loss, the traumas, the fear, the emotional hurts so painful that they were “buried alive.”

Thank You for coming into the root cause of any chronic failures. (Scan you life for any hurtful memories that need to be healed. When they surface, say simply “Holy Spirit I surrender that event to You for healing. Thank you for bringing Your good out of the hurt.  Thank you especially for ________________”. Come Holy Spirit Song

(Our Father)

As you pray the following prayer, it is not recommended that you delve into all your sins and failings, but let the Holy Spirit guide you. Don’t get bogged down in the details of the prayer, but use it to stimulate an active conscience.

Loving Father, I am sorry for all the ways I have offended You, knowingly or unknowingly. I have sinned in thought, word and deed. I have sinned in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do. I come before You and ask for the grace of a deeply repentant heart. You know my innermost secrets. I open my heart to You today and ask You to show me the ways I have blocked the flow of Your love.

I ask forgiveness for sins against my purity; lust, fornication, adultery, unclean books, movies and videos and sexual fantasies, especially _________________.

I turn away from all those activities and I turn to You. I deeply repent of having an abortion or encouraging someone to have an abortion.

Forgive me, Lord. I repent of any compulsive, addictive behavior: drinking, drugs, gambling, sex, food and all addictions especially _________________.

Thank you, Father, for setting me free. I repent for not taking care of my physical and emotional health: lack of balance in nutrition, rest and exercise; perhaps the unhealthy suppression of emotions. I make a commitment today to take care of myself.

I’m sorry for the times I have hurt other people. I repent of any stealing, lying, deceiving and defrauding. I regret any lack of affirming others, brushing people off, coldness, unloving and inconsiderate behavior. I’m sorry for gossiping, betrayal of confidences and all breaches of faith.

I repent of any envy, hatred, resentment, unforgiveness, jealousy, criticizing or judging other, not receiving love in the way it is offered, and withholding expressions of love. I especially ask for forgiveness for______________________.

I bring before You now those areas that I am the most ashamed to bring to You; areas that I have hidden, such as certain personal habits, secret guilt, dark areas I have previously refused to bring to You. I bring You all areas about which I am the most ashamed, especially __________________________.

Loving Father, what else should I bring to You? For these I beg pardon today. I accept Your forgiveness and now share Your forgiveness with others. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

 (Our Father)

Make a decision to be reconciled with the people in your life. Life is too short and too precious to waste being trapped and bound in the chains of unforgiveness. Let it go, today. You won’t be sorry. Forgiveness begins with a decision; the emotions will follow.

Loving Father, I choose to forgive everyone in my life, including myself, because You have forgiven me. I forgive myself for all my sins, faults and failings, especially _____________________. I forgive myself for not being perfect, I accept myself and make a decision to stop picking on myself and being my own worst enemy.

I forgive my MOTHER for any negativity and unlove she may have extended to me throughout my life, knowingly or unknowingly, especially _________________. I release her from bondage and make peace with her today.

I forgive my FATHER for any negativity and unlove he may have extended to me throughout my life, knowingly or unknowingly, especially ___________________.I release him from bondage and make peace with him today.

I forgive my SPOUSE for and negativity and unlove extended throughout our time together, especially __________________________. I release my spouse from bondage and make peace between us today.

I forgive my CHILDREN for any hurts, especially ______________________. I release them from bondage and make peace with them today. Bless them. Lord.

I forgive my SISTERS and BROTHERS for any negativity and unlove especially ___________________.

I forgive my BLOOD RELATIVES for any abuses, especially ________________________.

I forgive my ANCESTORS for any negative actions that affect my life today. I release them from bondage and make peace with them today, in Jesus’ name.

I forgive FRIENDS for any actions of negativity and unlove, especially __________________________. For any time they abused our relationship or led me astray, I do forgive them. I release them from all bondage, and pray a blessing on them today, in Jesus’ name.

I forgive all SCHOOL TEACHERS for any negative, abusive actions, especially ___________________. I forgive LAWYERS, DOCTORS, NURSES, and other professionals, especially ___________________. I forgive CLERGY and all representatives of the church especially _____________________________.

I release them all, in Jesus’ name. I forgive every member of SOCIETY who has hurt me in any way

Heavenly Father I now ask for the grace to forgive the ONE PERSON IN LIFE WHO HAS HURT ME THE MOST. The one who is the hardest to forgive, I now choose to forgive, though I may still feel angry and hurt.

Thank You, Lord. I praise You. Amen.

(Our Father)

As you begin this section just say simple, “Lord, please speak to me through Your word today.” Open your Bible, browse through it, allow a word or phrase to catch your attention. Once something catches your eyes, stop there. If, for example, the word, “hope,” catches your eyes, ponder the meaning of it. Ask the Lord why that word captured your attention.. Ask, “Holy Spirit, what do You want to teach me through this word?” Write these reflections in your notebook and continue to meditate on them later. This is a very important record of your spiritual walk.

(Our Father)

Scripture is one of our most important avenues of interaction with the Lord, along with the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As we feast on the Bible we come to know the character of God. We are infused with faith, hope and love as we spend time in the Word of God.

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him …” Psalm 37:7.

Often it helps to close your eyes. He wants to speak to us more than we want to listen. He is a God of love, and love longs to communicate. Have a pen and note pad handy, and expect Him to speak. ” Speak, for Your servant is listening” 1 Samuel 3:10

As words or thoughts begin to come into your mind, write them in your notebook. Most probably, it will be the Lord giving you a word of loving encouragement, hope and healing.

(Our Father)

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone …” 1 Timothy 2:1

One of the greatest gifts we can give each other is the gift of prayer. This is the time to pray for other people. Pray for nations and leaders, pastors and those in authority.

Pray for the homeless, aborted babies, the sick and the dying. Pray for those who have no one to pray for them. Pray for your enemies. Pray for your family, friends, and associates.

Most important, ask the Holy Spirit to bring people to mind. He surely will. Their names probably will continue to come to mind throughout the day, once you make yourself available, because the Lord is always looking for someone willing to pray.

You might ask, “Lord, what does this person need?” Often an area of need will come to mind. He prompted you to ask, so you can be sure that He will do something about the need!

The prayer of a righteous man [and woman] is powerful and effective” James 5:16.

(Our Father)

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” Hebrews 4:16.

This is a time for you to ask the Lord to meet your own needs. Do you have a health concern? How about the long term goals for your life? Be specific. It helps to write down intercessions and petitions, as well as goals, so that when they are answered faith will increase.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8.

(Our Father)

“Let us be thankful, and so worship God …”Hebrews 12:28.

Thank you, loving Father in heaven, for the amazing grace of this “Miracle Hour” with You. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and counsel me. Thank You for the fruit of the Spirit working in me: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self control.

Thank You for the grace to listen to You, believe in You and come to You. Thank You for all the ways You have helped me and intervened on my behalf. Thank You for Your plan for my life, for creating me with a high purpose in mind, for giving me a sense of worth. Thank You for loving me unconditionally.

Thank You for Your living Word that strengthens and empowers me. Thank You for enabling me to rise out of discouragement and walk in joy. Thank You for keeping me in perfect peace. Thank You for making all things work together for good as I place my trust in You. Thank You for enabling me to dwell in safety, and protecting me from the snares of the fowler.

Thank You for giving Your angels charge over me, to guide me in all my ways. Thank You for guiding me and giving me wisdom. Thank You for abundance of Your love that casts out all fear.

Thank You for supplying all my needs in accordance with Your riches in glory. Thank You for freeing me from sickness in body, mind and spirit, and bringing good out of the times when trouble comes. Thank You for giving me a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know the great hope to which I have been called.

Thank You for all the blessings of life: godly ancestors, spouse, family, friends, professional people, clergy and church. Thank You for all who have helped me along the way.

Thank You for the wonderful gift of my life, exactly the way it is. And I thank You for the greatest gift of all — Your Son Jesus.

I especially thank You for ________________________ .

“Thanks be to God for this indescribable gift” 2 Corinthians 9:15.

Miracle Hour by Linda Schubert

Jesus is the greatest teacher and role model for prayer: He gave us the LORD’S PRAYER found in Luke 11.2-5:

hallowed be Your name,
Your kingdom come.

Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.”

Prayer is a two-way street. We talk to God and He talks to us. Yet, it isn’t a question of equal time. We should spend more time listening to God than in speaking.

We also discover that prayer is a journey that is deep and intense, yet at the same time, simplistic. God most loves the simple prayer from the heart, our attempts to please and reverence Him. This is why we have to be sensitive to God’s glory and not our own joy or pleasure, as part of our own will. So give God a word of praise!

Prayer is an ongoing and growing love relationship with God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In the growth process, faith enters unto the stage. Without faith, prayers remain unanswered. We must firmly believe that our prayers will be answered WHILE we are praying it. We must develop “heart” knowledge and not simply “head” knowledge. We must learn to PRAY the prayer.

Unanswered prayers occur for a variety of reasons:

  • We ask for things that are not in our best interests.
  • Our prayer is contradictory. For example, “Lord I need patience quickly.”
  • We are not prepared for what we have asked.

A cry for healing is among our most urgent prayers. When we are in pain, we can turn to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, for healing. During his earthly ministry, Jesus Christ said many prayers for healing, miraculously causing the sick to recover.

So God arranges a divine appointment on behalf of  those who have been praying for healing. God can heal by Himself, but He almost always  requires His disciples to heal with Him.

So there are those disciples who actually do have a gift of healing. This author has been blessed with such a gift. This came about late in life when I made a decision to become a Christian Lay Missionary. One does not simply travel to the other side of the world only to wish people good health. God provides the tools in order to make a difference: a laying of healing hands.

“Thou hast given me dominion over the works of His hands;
thou hast put all things under my feet”                                       Psalm 8:6

“Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. By His stripes I am Healed.!”                                                           Matthew 8:17 1 Peter 2:24

During the intervals while still at home, this author prays daily to be sensitive to any divine appointment that God has placed in his path. This happens very regularly: at least once every few days. Part of the healing is usually immediate which gives the healed person more faith. The faith which is necessary comes from a BREATH PRAYER that must be said whenever one thinks about it and a minimum of once daily until all the healing is complete: “Lord Jesus, I praise you and thank you for Your healing!”

Most people don’t know that God want to heal them:

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. ”                                                                                                                                              3 John 1:2Jesus is God PHYSICAL HEALING

Healing is often overlooked today.

Our culture has little place for such experiences. People do not understand the concept of a “divine breakthrough” into our little world.

If a person does not appear to be healed after prayers,  one should not be anxious; the healing minister will have followed exactly what God requires. The healing is done in heaven: these are only delayed healing. God wants us to depend on Him– not a technique.

Man’s most basic need is to know that he is loved. Let us contemplate the important part love has in the healing process. At Lourdes, some people are healed and others are not, but all leave with a sense of peace, convinced that the Holy Spirit has touched them and that God loves them.

When you go to a doctor for healing, you don’t try to justify our asking for help, e.g. Help me because I can be a better parent, a better worker, a better spouse. Yet this is what many people do when they pray for healing from God: they even try to bargain with God: I will do this if only you heal me. These people have a fearful relationship with God.

prayer healing

The real truth is that God is Love and He wants to see you healed without your justification. Healing is an ordinary, not an extraordinary sign of God’s mercy and compassion. “But in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”                                                                           Philippians 4:6

Jesus cured not just to prove He was God, but because He was abounding in love. God is more than willing to save and heal all who come  to Him with open and contrite hearts. Healing can be a test of faith, but also a natural response to God’s generous love.  The minister of healing, who is nothing more than a human channel, says the prayer of healing and then steps aside.

After welcoming the presence of Jesus, and giving  Him praise and thanksgiving, we turn to laying of hands, which  is biblical: “They will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well Mark 16:18  Along with a prayer of faith, the value of touching the sick person in any way possible provides a channel, where power is transferred more readily and far, far more effectively. There seems to be a current of healing power that flows from the minister of healing to the sick person.  But Jesus said, “Someone touched Me; I know that power has gone out from Me.”                                                               Luke 8:46

The prayer of healing is more like a prayer of command, “Be healed.” and ” It is done. Thank you, Lord.” The sick person may also wish to ask God’s help during prayers silently: “Come Lord Jesus, Come  and heal me”

Those who pray in tongues, turn the prayer over to the Holy Spirit, when they are not sure precisely what to pray for. Even in a foreign country, laying of hands on a head or shoulders, and praying in tongues will suffice, when you do not know the language.

The most powerful time for healing is immediately after the Eucharistic Celebration. This is a time when Jesus Christ is most especially with us.

The person delivered and healed must continue to thank God for the spiritual healing every day until the total deliverance and healing has taken place and to thank Him whenever he or she thinks about it (a minimum of once a day) by a FAITH breath prayer until the healing takes place; it is only 12 words:

Thanking God, before the healing happens, strengthens your faith.

Our problem is that we terribly under-estimate the incredibly magnificent thing He has done in sending the Lord Jesus to us. He has sent Jesus, and given us the authority to use that Name, the Name above all Names, as our infallible weapon against sickness and torment.

Jesus never refused healing to anyone. All who came to Him were healed, without exception. None were told to come back later after they had “suffered for God” or “learned a lesson.”

We are also positioned far above all other authority in the Universe, including Satan. Everything under God is also in subjection under our feetEphesians 1:22. God knows it, Satan knows it, the unclean spirits know it and tremble James. 2:19, but we apparently don’t believe it. And so the tragedy is that we cower as Satan “prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”                                                                                                       1 Peter 5:8

We don’t do what Jesus did because, frankly, we really don’t believe what He said, and we’re way too timid to give it a try. We are comfortable with Christianity. We are not comfortable with Jesus. In fact, He apparently embarrasses us.

Unfortunately, we have a slight problem. Frankly, it’s just too embarrassing to lay hands on people, to speak healing out loud with conviction, and to cast the denizens of hell back to the pit from which they emerged to afflict us. Someone might laugh at us. After all, we are respectable people.

The key to the gifts of healing is one’s faith. People’s persistence proves their faithfulness. They believe that God has the answer to all their prayers. Persistent prayer is answered because those who believe actually expect to be healed by God, so they continually ask until they receive.

So here it is again, that most important prayer that should come second nature to you:” Lord Jesus, I love You; I believe in You; I trust You.  In the beginning you will need memory pegs to remind you to use this prayer, such as when you first enter your car.

God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions  show a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17  (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.

The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.

Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.

In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family.  The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ.  No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.

Christianity and Hinduism Differences

Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is  a relationship with God, your Creator,  in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles.  How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Many Christian disciples use the gift of healing.  They also use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress.  Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.Chinese Religion God

Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.

Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.

This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels  two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.

He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical  sense of peace.

God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart.  God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.

Is the BIBLE true? 2

There are some Christians that claim that the basic nature of human beings is sinful. It is the human tendency to rebel against, ignore, or resist God’s will. This makes human beings susceptible to illness. In a sense, a person can actually own his or her sickness or take responsibility for it. So illness is often linked to life style, which has moral overtones. The word, “disease” says it all: it means “without ease” or stress.

There are two principal theological interpretations of sickness and healing:

  1. Sickness is caused by forces or spirits opposed to God out of sheer perverseness. The devil wishes to thwart the divine plan for humankind. So illness is not the fault of the sick person. This is the view that Jesus took 2000 years ago.
  2. Sickness is caused by God for different reasons. Sickness may be used to teach a person a lesson of faith. It may be used as a test so that a person can provide an example of faith for others as in the case of Job.

The sick person is understood to have earned the illness. The real aim of the sickness may be to change or moderate the nature of a person’s life.

The charismatic healers know very little or nothing about medical science and did not practice elaborate therapy. Most of these healers belong to the “holy person” category. They never ask for any fees for healing.

There are no elaborate rituals or complicated techniques. The healing is done by touch or command in the Name of Our Lord, Jesus Christ in the same manner as Jesus healed. A healer may use a general prayer such as, “May the mercy of God, which is present here with us now, enter into your soul, your mind, your body, and heal you from all that harms you”  By Your stripes (whippings) Lord Jesus, you,             , are healed!  These last few words are the most important and they are based on the Bible: “With His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 and “by whose stripes you were healed.”                                                                                                                                              1 Peter 2:24

For specific healing, the words to use can be, “Send Your power right now into this baby’s ears and take away all germs or infection and make them well”. Some healers speak directly to evil spirits: “You spirit of disease, I command you in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to come out of this boy,_______.”

God is not restricted in any way. Addictions of all sorts can also be healed just as terminal cases of cancer. Continue reading HEALING TRADITION

Action on behalf of justice and participation in the transformation of the world fully appear to us as a constitutive dimension of the preaching of the Gospel, or in other words, of the Church’s mission of the redemption of the human race and its liberation from every oppressive situation. The Church commits itself to the work of social change and the struggle against all forms of oppression.

Jesus himself, we should note, was certainly not a social reformer. Jesus stood for human freedom, though he did not dwell on the theme. For He taught that one is really free only when one’s relation to God’s will is right ; that is , when one repents.

Paul constantly exhorts his quarreling communities to live in harmony with one another by cultivating relations that are based on justice and concern for the felt needs of others.

The gospel of Jesus is good news for the poor: Luke has Jesus say in the beatitudes, “Blessed are the poor” period. It is Luke who gives us the picture of the early Church as a community of disciples sharing their property and distributing it to those in need.

Luke is the one who is most interested in social justice, and he portrays Jesus as a prophet on the Old Testament model. He took on the role of the servant prophet of Isaiah, who will proclaim release to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind and freedom to the oppressed.

Luke is also most severe toward the wealthy. In general, the Bible sees wealth as spiritually dangerous if it causes us to harden our hearts and dominate others or if it becomes a substitute for God.

So, Christians must respond to the needs of others by bearing their burdens so as to fulfill the law of Christ.

There are profound problems with our economic system – a structural disorder of the system itself. We need a critical analysis of the essential dignity of human labor and its priority over the maximization of profits—not just through handouts. Cosmetic changes are not enough.

We need to look at the humanizing role of labor and the equitable distribution of the world’s goods. We need to look at the full value and meaning of work.

We have an economy that continues to serve the needs of the rich nations at the expense of the poor. This is not to be considered an antagonism toward the rich, but the defense of the defenseless: the uneducated, the native poor and the immigrant poor who have no voice to speak for themselves.

Do we run a risk that some of the economically oppressed nations of the world will rise in judgment on the rich nations?

Ah, beloved ones, I have come to heal your sores, your wounds and your infirmities, all which were so savagely inflicted upon you in this darkness; no, beloved ones, your sores are not past healing, your injuries are curable, for I-Am-With-You and ever so near you; so come to Me with love, ask Me with love and you will receive, invoke Me with love and I shall hear you; I will raise you to My Bosom and cradle you, comforting you; hear My Cry of Love and Peace:                      May 1, 1989

Vassula Healing

Vassula writes down the messages which she receives in a stately handwriting, quite distinct from her own. (unity)  She hears, interiorly, a voice first, then , when she has to write down what she has heard, her writing changes.

I will continue to cure your sick and My Name will be praised; hear Me: to extol My Name I will appear often in your place as a reminder of My Marvels and of the reality of My Presence; I will reveal Myself on you to show everyone how I am in you and you in Me, that they may believe that through your words, I Am.”

“I tell you, salvation will come to the abandoned, and to those who never sought Me, the poor and the wretched, the abandoned and the starved need water and there is none; their tongue is parched with thirst; this is why I will give them water with My Own Hand.”                                                                                                                                  October 13, 1994

God in His mercy has decreed blessing for us by sending Christ to take the curse of disease and sickness from us and bring healing.

“He himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.”                                                                                  1 Peter 2:24

These are the exact words that a Divine Healer say when they lay hands on someone for healing: IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND BY HIS WOUNDS, YOU (NAME) ARE HEALED OF (AFFLICTION).

This is assured for any affliction even cancer and any addiction.  The spirit world knows no limitation: long distance healing is also assured.

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.”      Matthew 8:17

Jesus used the authority of the Father given to Christ over heaven and earth Matthew. 28:18, to “pray over” James 5:14 the sick and command the enemy to go. “Whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”If you ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it.”                                           John 14:14

Some Christians pray for healing as if asking for a favor from God. In seeking healing we are not to ask God for a favor; instead, we are to glorify the Father by expecting the justice due us as a result of Christ’s awesome work for us… And we will receive it. Quit begging. Quit asking for a favor – expect God’s mercy. Continue reading GOD’S HEALING ASSURED

meaning of life

This is what life is about. It is being sent on a trip by a loving God, who is waiting at home for our return and is eager to watch the slides we took and hear about the friends we made. When we travel with the eyes and ears of the God who sent us, we will see wonderful sights, hear wonderful sounds, meet wonderful people … and be happy to return home.                                              HENRI NOUWEN

Meaning of Life

Most people are still searching for meaning. The idea is that inside each of us is a “God-shaped hole”–a place inside of our hearts that only God can fill. If we try to put anything else in there, it won’t fit (meaning, it won’t fill the need we have inside of our heart/soul).

“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ.”                                         Blaise Pascal

You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.                                                  St. Augustine of Hippo

Sickness doesn’t come from God. Jesus destroys the works of the devil, so I can live free of sickness and disease!

Jesus healed everyone who came to Him in faith. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” Hebrews 13:8, so I come to Him in faith, knowing He will heal me too!

I will not allow doubt and unbelief to keep me from receiving from God.

The main purpose of my life is to minister to the Lord, putting my hand to work He gives me to do. I thank God for healing me, that I might be effective and unhindered by pain, sickness and disease.

When I ask for healing, I am not forcing God’s hand. Healing me is His idea! He wants me to be healed. Healing comes to me in my “benefits package”.

I don’t deny my symptoms, but I don’t dwell on them.  I don’t check to see if my symptoms are gone or if anything in my body has changed. Symptoms may still be affecting my body, but the truth is that I am healed. I don’t allow the devil’s doubt and unbelief to keep me from my healing.

Faith is the belief that God is good. Faith is not a mystical experience or a voice in the wilderness. It is a choice to believe that the One who made it all, hasn’t left it all and that He still sends light into our shadows and responds to our gestures of faith.

So what does faith have to do with our daily existence? It has everything to do with it. Our task on this earth is to choose our eternal home. You can choose the wrong career or the wrong house and you will survive. But, there is one choice that must be made correctly and that is you eternal destiny.

“I am fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is able to do.”                                                                                                                Romans 4:21

Faith builds up in me when I hear and hear the Word. I hear the Word of God , and hearing produces faith in me. The Holy Spirit opens the mysteries of the Scriptures to you, revealing the life and the ways of God to you. God’s light and life will shine in you, so much so that others will notice.

This happens even as I face adverse circumstances or painful symptoms. My faith releases His healing power in my life. My faith and His power make me whole.

The servant was healed because the centurion believed the words that Jesus spoke. You will be healed because you believe God’s healing promises will come to pass.

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.”                       Hebrews 13: 6

Prayer is also part of social involvement. One should always be embedded in the life of the community.  Prayer develops a compassionate heart.  The joy that compassion brings is one of the best kept secrets of humanity. To pray for others is to make them part of ourselves and our concerns.  Prayer allows us to give up all that divides us from others so that we can let God touch them in us.

We learn that we are not the boss of our life, but that God wants to lead our life into green pastures. We learn to discover that God plays a role in our lives, an all-determining role, for the salvation and healing of ourselves and the world.

Prayer without action is meaningless.  Vocation means “to call”. God is always active in our lives. He always calls; he always asks us to take up our crosses and follow Him.

Can anyone hide themselves in secret places so I shall not see them?  Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord, “and not a God far away? Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?”declares the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.”                                                                                       Jeremiah 23:23,24

Healing is a present promise of God that one appropriates by faith.

Spirituality is the personal quest for understanding answers to ultimate questions about life, about meaning, and about relationship to the sacred or transcendent, which may (or may not) lead to or arise to religion.

These promises are of God, the promises are clearly stated in the Bible to all people that Christ will heal everyone who believes: “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”                                                                                                                                          James 5:15

Moreover, the promises made by God cannot be broken. It is the faith that one has to receive the healing that is promised in the Word: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed”. Isaiah: 53:5 Instead of walking by natural human faith, you walk by Bible faith”. (MacNutt 103)

Christian Bible

Actually, the Bible is not just a book—it’s 66 books. The Bible was written over a period of roughly 2,000 years by 40 different authors from three continents, who wrote in three different languages.  The Christian church has not invented the claim that the Bible is the Word of God; it is the claim of the Bible itself. We find in the Bible the claim that the words and deeds it records come from the living God. In hundreds of passages, in both the Old and New Testaments, the Bible plainly declares to be the very Word of the living God. The Bible declares some 3,800 times, “God said,” or “Thus says the Lord.” For example, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”                                                                                                                                       Matthew 24:35.
