EVANGELIZATION

EVANGELIZATION

EVANGELIZATION

THE PRINCIPAL AGENT OF MISSION

The coming of the Holy Spirit makes them witnesses and prophets   Acts 1:8; 2:17-18. It fills them with a serene courage which impels them to pass on to others their experience of Jesus and the hope which motivates them. The Spirit gives them the ability to bear witness to Jesus with “boldness.” When the first evangelizers go down from Jerusalem, the Spirit becomes even more of a “guide,” helping them to choose both those to whom they are to go and the places to which their missionary journey is to take them.

EVANGELIZATION

MAKING THE WHOLE CHURCH MISSIONARY

The Holy Spirit, who distributes His gifts as He wishes for the good of all, provides the tools needed to do missionary work such as the gift of healing. Christ stirs up a missionary vocation in the hearts of individuals, and at the same time raises up in the Church those institutes which undertake the duty of evangelization, which is the responsibility of the whole Church, as their special task.”  Evangelization will never be possible without the action of the Holy Spirit.

Peter explains this event as the fulfillment of the prophecy of Joel: “I will pour out my spirit.” (Acts 2:17) Peter is filled with the Holy Spirit so that he can speak to the people about Jesus, the Son of God. (Acts 4:8) Paul too is filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 9:17) before dedicating himself to his apostolic ministry, as is Stephen when he is chosen for the ministry of service and later on for the witness of blood. (Acts 6:5, 10; 7:55) The Spirit, who causes Peter, Paul and the Twelve to speak, and who inspires the words that they are to utter, also comes down “on those who heard the word.” (Acts 10:44)

It is in the “consolation of the Holy Spirit” that the Church increases. (Acts 9:31)The Holy Spirit is the soul of the Church. It is He who explains to the faithful the deep meaning of the teaching of Jesus and of His mystery. It is the Holy Spirit who, today just as at the beginning of the Church, acts in every evangelizer who allows himself to be possessed and led by Him. The Holy Spirit places on his lips the words which he could not find by himself, and at the same time the Holy Spirit predisposes the soul of the hearer to be open and receptive to the Good News and to the kingdom being proclaimed.

Without the Holy Spirit the most convincing dialectic has no power over the heart of man. Without Him the most highly developed schemes resting on a sociological or psychological basis are quickly seen to be quite valueless.

EVANGELIZATION

Evangelii Nuntiandi

It must be said that the Holy Spirit is the principal agent of evangelization: it is He who impels each individual to proclaim the Gospel, and it is He who in the depths of consciences causes the word of salvation to be accepted and understood. But it can equally be said that He is the goal of evangelization: He alone stirs up the new creation, the new humanity of which evangelization is to be the result, with that unity in variety which evangelization wishes to achieve within the Christian community. Through the Holy Spirit the Gospel penetrates to the heart of the world, for it is He who causes people to discern the signs of the times- signs willed by God- which evangelization reveals and puts to use within history.

OF HIS HOLINESS POPE PAUL VI (December 8, 1975)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”                                                                                                                                       Romans 15:13

JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU

SUNDAY: A SPECIAL DAY

Empowering you to Proclaim My Message

“I love you.  You are dear to Me.

About two-thirds of the population of the world do not believe in Me, their Savior. I want a new awakening in every country of the world.

I gave a command to the Apostles just before My Ascension to go throughout the world. Today I give you all the same call. I empower you, in turn, to proclaim My message to the world so that all may come to believe in Me.

Remember all those who are baptized become members of the Kingdom of God and I want all the people of the world to become members of My Kingdom. You all have a vocation.

Do not be afraid to witness about Me to the people you meet. Do not hide the fact that you believe in Me, Your Savior, and that you follow Me. Through your efforts you will bring many to follow Me and you will be blessed.

I am sending all of you who walk with Me, to your friends and to your neighbors to share your faith and your treasure with them because I desire the conversion of all the people.

I want all of you to accept Me, Your Savior, into your lives.  Submit yourself to Me and I am going to lead you.

Break away from a life of sin, open your heart to Me, and unite yourself with Me.

Hurry, come to Me while there still is time. All power has been given to Me to make you My disciple and today I bind you to Me. (Say: I accept Lord Jesus)

I bless you all.”

The above messages came to Father Melvin Doucette:

Fr. Melvin Doucette was ordained to the priesthood on and joined the Missionaries of Africa for 29 years in Africa. In contemplative prayer every morning, Fr. Doucette receives by interior locution “messages from heaven” to share with the public.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?

god proof

  • Christians don’t shout, “I live a clean life!” Christians whisper “I feel  lost, but now God found me and God forgives me.”
  • Christians don’t speak with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
  • Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they try to be strong because they need strength.
  • Christians don’t brag about success, but they admit that they fail and they need God to clean the mess.
  • Christians don’t claim to be perfect, but God still believes in them.
  • Christians still feel the sting of pain. They have their share of headaches but they still call upon His Name.
  • Christians are not holier than others. They are simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable Grace.

Christianity on a Table Napkin:

Deliverance EVIL SPIRITS

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”                                                                                                                                     Romans 10:9

trust Jesus Christ

The real Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He was send by God to come to the earth in the body of a human being. That was, so that He could suffer in the flesh, and take all our sins upon Himself and die in our place. He rose from the dead and lives to pray for us daily.
He is the Savior – The angel announced to Mary; …and you shall call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.     Matthew 1:21  It means He has the power to free us, save us and deliver us from sin. He is merciful and has the power to forgive. He brings good news to the poor, heals the heart-broken, announce freedom to all captives, pardons all prisoners. He comforts mourners. He has healing in His hands.
To receive Jesus as your Savior… SAY:Lord Jesus, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Please hear me today and help me! I want to receive You as my Lord and Savior. Be Lord of my life!  Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me and that God raised You from the dead. Forgive me all my sins and take all my sins away. Come into my heart and be my Savior and Lord, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Amen

Your life will begin to change in an amazing way. Without expecting  anything, be sensitive to any dreams or visions.

God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will begin.  “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.”                                                     Luke 1: 49

Are we not like Barabbas who was justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”?  And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost, like you.

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”.                                       Isaiah 1:18

You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to a Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading a short biography of Jesus in  the Gospel of Luke. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising.  He will defend you from attacks of the enemy when you ask Him.
