LONELINESS IS SERIOUS.
It gnaws at our sense of reality, and can lead to depression and a sense of hopelessness. We may feel abandoned and sometimes rejected.
There are root causes such as death, separation or loss of a loved one. There could also be a change that comes upon you because of illness, unemployment or divorce.
LIVING IN LONELY BUBBLES
Loneliness is a dark and dreadful spirit hat haunts some of us today. Loneliness may mean that you are being attacked by Satan. God can intervene in your life and cleanse and heal your heart! You will not suffer from loneliness again since God will be sufficient for you. He will keep you in His peace.
We are a generation that doesn’t acknowledge others. We have lost what it means to have connection because all we’re ever connected to is the Internet or our devices.
Loneliness can have a greater impact on lifespan than obesity. Obesity increases a person’s chance of an early death by 30 %. Loneliness can increase it by a whopping 50%.
Some people are afraid to venture out and meet others, knowing that that effort will most likely result in rejection. When you do interact with people in public, they’re social for five minutes – that’s it!
Many people suffer with loneliness. They may work in large urban centers or may have hundreds of friends on Facebook, but they are still lonely. One of the reasons this happens is because we in society forget one another. “The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved.” Mother Theresa
You might say that what you really want is what really matters: meaningful friendships, a marriage, a family. And these things, as God designed them, are good, and good to want and work for. But still they’re not the ultimate thing.
We’ve largely been convinced by our materialistic culture that this world and its pleasures is all there is. We may not say we believe that, but we often live as if we do, evidenced by feeling entitled to certain things even a certain standard of living.
Loneliness is one of the most universal sources of human suffering today. It is the root of a lot of symptoms: alcoholism, headaches, and even back aches. In order to descend from the hole of stifling loneliness, we are inclined to run away from it. Our loneliness drives us away from ourselves into tired friendships and bad relationships. Nothing seems to satisfy our deepest cravings for unity and wholeness. Loneliness makes us cling to others in desperation.
Many human relationships are like the interlocking fingers of two hands. Our loneliness makes us cling to each other, and this mutual clinging makes us suffer immensely because it does not take our loneliness away.
But the harder we try, the more desperate we become. Many of these “interlocking” relationships fall apart because they become suffocating and oppressive. Human relationships are meant to be like two hands folded together. They can move away from each other while still touching with the fingertips. They can create space between themselves, a little tent, a home, a safe place to be.
True relationships among people point to God. They are like prayers in the world. Sometimes the hands that pray are fully touching, sometimes there is distance between them. They always move to and from each other, but they never lose touch. They keep praying to the One who brought them together. HENRI NOUWEN
SOLITUDE IS PEACEFUL
Loneliness is painful; solitude is peaceful. Instead of running away from our loneliness we have to turn it into fruitful solitude.
Solitude is the garden for our hearts, which yearn for love. It is the place where our aloneness can bear fruit. It is the home for our restless bodies and anxious minds. Solitude, whether it is connected with a physical space or not, is essential for our spiritual lives. It is not an easy place to be, since we are so insecure and fearful that we are easily distracted by whatever promises immediate satisfaction. Solitude is not immediately satisfying, because in solitude we meet our demons, our addictions, our feelings of lust and anger, and our immense need for recognition and approval. But if we do not run away, we will meet there also the One who says, “Do not be afraid. I am with you, and I will guide you through the valley of darkness.” HENRI NOUWEN
Look at St Anthony. He spent 20 years in isolation. When he left it he took his solitude with him and shared it with all who came to him. People described him as balanced, gentle, and caring. He had become Christlike: so radiant with God’s love that his entire being was ministry.
We think of solitude as a place where we gather new strength to continue the ongoing competition in life. Rather it is the place of conversion, the place where the old self dies and the new self is born. Solitude reveals that there is an Other who directs our lives, who has plans for us, who wants happiness and salvation for the world.
Solitude is the place where God reveals Himself as God-with-us, our Source and Purpose of our existence. In solitude, we leave behind our plans, our opinions and enter into the presence of our loving God : naked, open and receptive.
Solitude is a place of prayer. Prayer makes us contemplative and attentive. All the mystics agree that prayer is a free gift and a “grace” to which we can only respond to in gratitude. This gift is entirely within our reach. You cease to grab but caress; you no longer examines but admire.
Your new prayer life means to think and live in the presence of God. This requires praying not as self-centered monologue but as a God-centered dialogue. God knows our minds and hearts. We become part of the intimacy of God’s inner life by which we are born anew. But do we see, feel , and recognize God’s call or do we keep waiting for that illusory moment when it will really happen?
Jesus said , “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6
Without reading the Word, silence becomes stale. One practical approach is every night before going to sleep, we meditate on a Bible passage. The text will go with us through the night and stay with us. We can then meditate on the same text during the next day for an hour or so. Instead of wondering if we agree or disagree, we should wonder which words are directly spoken to us. Similarly, the purpose of spiritual reading is not to master knowledge, but to let God’s Spirit place things on our heart.
Prayer and discipline belong together. You really have to force yourself to be quiet. Meditating is easier during a time when your mind is more peaceful. It is possible to see God through Jesus Christ. When unwelcome ideas come flitting by, they are extinguished by saying, ” Come Lord Jesus, Come”. Before long you train your mind to be quiet: a certain companionship with God begins to grow. The initiative remains on God’s side. We can only be found by Him. God then plays a very active roll: God starts to speak to us during this empty time.
The ultimate healing of loneliness comes from our relationship with God.
FAITH IS THE FINAL INGREDIENT.
The key to the gifts of healing is one’s faith. People’s persistence proves their faithfulness. They believe that God has the answer to all their prayers. Persistent prayer is answered because those who believe actually expect to be healed by God, so they continually ask until they receive.
After receiving the beginning of healing, you must pray:” Lord Jesus, I love You; I believe in You; I trust You.
A FAITH PRAYER
The person delivered and healed must continue to thank God for the spiritual healing every day until the total deliverance and healing has taken place and to thank Him whenever he or she thinks about it (a minimum of once a day) by a FAITH breath prayer until the healing takes place; it is only 12 words:
LORD JESUS, I PRAISE YOU AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HEALING.
Thanking God, before the healing happens, strengthens your faith.
Once we come to know that inner, holy place, a place more beautiful and precious than any place we can travel to, we want to be there and be spiritually fed. It is this inner sanctuary, this secret place, this throne room, where God is at the center of all things and yet in such a quiet, unobtrusive elusive way.
Our goal is to create a space where God’s glory can manifest itself. Ask yourself,” where is the glory of God?” Five or ten minutes a day may be all we can tolerate in the beginning. We graduate into an hour in an afternoon every week. We may have to write it down on our calendar in order to set time aside. Initially it may feel that we are simply wasting our time, especially when we are bombarded with a thousand thoughts. Later we receive less and less distractions. Active waiting means being fully present to the moment: this moment is the moment. We discover this journey to become attentive to God’s voice in us is like gold. Then, very soon, we start missing these moments when we are deprived of our quiet time. St. Theresa said that one should not expect anything special, but expect everything.
As soon as I say, “God exists”, my own existence is not central. We begin to learn that our own existence is derived completely from God. This is a true conversion experience. When God exists, all that is, flows from God. Once I experience God’s love as the love in which all my human experiences are anchored, I can only desire to be in that love. Anywhere else is illusionary. That is where the love of each other emanates because He has first loved us.
We discover that, what we are called to do (God’s Will), brings us true joy and peace. God has given us a heart that will remain restless until it has found full communion with Him. Communion means ‘union with’. The whole world can belong to you.
Where’s God in My Loneliness?
So if your life is empty, fill it with Christ. You are never left alone when you are alone with God. “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4. Put the Kingdom of God first and all else will come. Cling to your life and you will lose it. Let the Spirit teach you to be satisfied with the fact that you have eternal life and will be with Jesus forever. The more you delight in God, the greater joy and satisfaction there is!
“Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
Yet, there may be demonic influences that are affecting you. Our loneliness may even have been started in childhood when you were constantly by yourself.
WHAT IS DELIVERANCE?
Deliverance is defined as “a rescue from bondage or danger.” Deliverance is often sought from evil spirits or the spirit of lust, jealousy, etc. We are told to “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.” 1 Peter 5:8,9
All aspects of deliverance are available only through the person and work of Jesus Christ:” When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, ‘Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!’” Luke 10:17
DO YOU NEED DELIVERANCE?
To determine if you are in need of deliverance, ask yourself the following questions:
- Are you continually argumentative or contrary–usually on the verge of anger?
- Are you violating, neglecting or causing pain in a relationship?
- Are you practicing sin and can’t seem to stop?
- Do you see a pattern of issues in your family, whether disease, poverty, anger, divorce, sexual perversion or other issues?
- You are sick all the time and the doctors find nothing wrong. You could be dealing with a spirit of infirmity?
- Are you having “spiritual” encounters, including recurring dreams/nightmares that you leave you fearful?
- Do you sometimes sense that the problem isn’t you, but rather something in you?
- Are you attracted to the occult. , e.g. Ouija Boards, Seance, Fortune Telling, Horoscopes, Hypnosis etc, or Witchcraft?
- Have you experienced traumatic events that have impacted your life negatively?
- Do you keep hitting the same wall.
JESUS WISHES TO SPEAK TO YOU.
You Will Never be Alone.
“I love you.
I am bringing you up the mountain to the place where we used to go long ago. There in this peaceful spot, you can enjoy the beauty of nature. The sun is coming up in all its glory and the colored clouds are all around us.
I want to give you, My friend, this peace. It is the gift so often lacking today. My son and daughter, you do not have to go far away, you can find this peace in your own home if you enter your heart and live in Me.
It is especially by contemplating Me that you will find this treasure. Spend 20 or more minutes with Me every day and you will experience a new dimension in your life. I will lead you gently up the mountain and I will speak to your heart. Your heart and mine will beat together in joy.
I call you all, My brother and sister, to persevere in prayer with Me and through Me to Our Father. Prayer lifts your heart and mind from the material world to the spiritual world. It makes your faith grow to believe what you cannot see, but above all prayer strengthens the love relationship between us.
Your heart is opened to receive the graces you need to follow Me and to avoid evil. You can be saddened, depressed and anxious, faced with the problems, fatigues, and fears of life but prayer lifts your heart, and peace and joy return to you. These are My gifts which I give My friends.
Come, I live in your heart and I am calling you. Do not be afraid but open your heart and your mind to Me.
Let Me whisper in your ear that I love you and I want a permanent bond of love between us. Let us climb the mountain together. I love you.”
The above messages came to Father Melvin Doucette:
Fr. Melvin Doucette was ordained to the priesthood on and joined the Missionaries of Africa for 29 years in Africa. In contemplative prayer every morning, Fr. Doucette receives by interior locution “messages from heaven” to share with the public.
The Lord is with me
I do not fear at all being abandoned by creatures because, even if all abandoned me, I would not be alone, for the Lord is with me. And even if the Lord were to hide, love will know how to find Him. For love knows no gates or guards. Diary 1022
God divinely inspired the BIBLE . How do we know? Each of eight accurate predictions show a high probability mathematically. The probability of one individual fulfilling eight prophecies have odds of 1 in 10 17 (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). Jesus Christ fulfilled all prophecies, therefore the Bible MUST BE TRUE.
The Old Testament indicates another 40 astonishing predictions.
Christianity experiences stunning growth—from approximately 3.8 million adherents in China in 1956 to an estimated 87 to 100 million Christians today.
In the end, one Christian conversion will benefit the whole family. The gifts of the Holy Spirit of healing and deliverance will help the whole family. A prayer of deliverance of evil spirits will leave any member of the family with a complete sense of peace immediately. A prayer of healing from a Christian disciple produces 80% healing. The remaining healing comes from continued prayer of praise and thanksgiving until all the healing is complete. This healing comes from the Holy Spirit through the power in the Name of Jesus Christ. No other god or deity or doctor uses this power. This proves the TRUTH OF CHRISTIANITY.
BILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS CAN’ T ALL BE WRONG!
Christianity is not a philosophy, but it is a relationship with God, your Creator, in Christ TODAY. It is not knowledge of abstract principles. How do we know this? Healing takes place TODAY in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Many Christian disciples use the gift of healing. They also use deliverance to deliver away evil spirits influencing people. These evil spirits cause depression, addictions and illness through all forms of stress. Only the Name of Jesus Christ makes healing and deliverance possible.
HOW IS JESUS STILL ALIVE TODAY?
Jesus is alive today! He heals today (through His followers) and in many cases it is realized immediately. How else can you explain the explosion of Christianity, the world’s largest religion, on earth: 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth.
Christians know and feel His Presence; they communicate with Him personally; Christian prayers are always answered.
This author has been given the Gift of Healing only because he is a Christian Lay Missionary, who travels two to three places every year. On his last trip to Columbia he successfully transferred his Gift to his Spanish translators, who were able to heal as he did. He has healed Muslims to their great surprise.
He also delivers away evil spirits along with their healing. All those who are delivered from evil spirits feel a complete physical sense of peace.
DREAMS AND VISIONS
God can give a message to those non-Christians to change their heart. God knows faith will be developed eventually. God will come to you in the form of dreams or visions. So be sensitive to any dreams or visions, when you ask God for it earnestly.
HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN?
- Christians don’t shout, “I live a clean life!” Christians whisper “I feel lost, but now God found me and God forgives me.”
- Christians don’t speak with pride. They confess that they stumble and need Christ to be their guide.
- Christians don’t say,” I’m strong.” They say they try to be strong because they need strength.
- Christians don’t brag about success, but they admit that they fail and they need God to clean the mess.
- Christians don’t claim to be perfect, but God still believes in them.
- Christians still feel the sting of pain. They have their share of headaches but they still call upon His Name.
- Christians are not holier than others. They are simple sinners who receive God’s unbelievable Grace.
Christianity on a Table Napkin:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
God the Father will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, crying out or pain. We will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is The Holy Spirit will have made all things new. Eternal joy will begin. “For the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is His name.” Luke 1: 49
Are we not like Barabbas who was justly condemned for murder, but saved by the innocent Jesus on the cross? Are we not like the adulterous woman, deserving of death by stoning, to whom Jesus says, “I do not condemn you”? And Jesus saved them both. In fact, Jesus came to earth specifically to look for and save those who were lost, like you.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”. Isaiah 1:18
You may need some counseling with a pastor, priest or competent Christian worker, who will introduce you to a Short Course on Who is Jesus? Start by reading a short biography of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. Read several verses before going to bed and read the same verse upon arising. He will defend you from attacks of the enemy when you ask Him.
